I suddenly realize something as I was running back from the training ground to the village.

“What’s the matter, Sir Dan?” Luke asks.

I look in front of us, Izumi is arriving.

“Izumi?!” I am surprised that she is here.

She’s with Groloph.

“We need to get back to the city, Sir Dan! Miss Carly and Miss Gracie both are fighting the raiders.” Izumi explains.

“Understood!” I say.

We all begin to run again.

I suddenly feel like Carly used a spell. It was definitely her mana.

Just wait, Carly! I will be there! Please don’t do anything reckless.

We run, run, run and run until we reach the city.

Carly...Her mana is fading. I quickly make a run towards her mana.

I look that she is down on the ground and a little girl is about to hit her with some kind of black ball.

“CARLYYYYY!!!!!!”

I pick Carly out of the way and stop myself right near Horrell.

“HORRELL! TREAT HER, RIGHT NOW!” I order Horrell.

“Understood!” Horrell says.

Horrell hovers a green light via her hand over Carly’s body. It seems that she is inspecting Carly’s body.

“She has internal damage, her internal organs are bleeding, I will need to use internal armor to cover her internal organs first and then use internal heal to heal her organs-“

“Just do whatever you can and save her...”

Sir Dan...His voice was different, it’s like he was desperate yet angry. He wanted me to save Miss Carly and at any cost. I will do anything...To save Miss Carly...Anything and everything for Sir Dan.

Thunders stormed around Dan, it showed Dan’s anger.

“You have done it...You already took Mama Serena’s life and now, now you plan to take away more people precious to me.” Dan’s eyes were filled with anger.

“It seems you love her.” Shirogane sighs in disappointment, “I told her to stay away from me, it would only-“

“I don’t need an explanation for why you did because you dared to lay hand on Carly out of everyone and that’s enough reason for me to beat the crap out of you even if you are just a little kid!” Dan’s angry face made even Shirogane’s stone-cold face sweat.

“All you adults are reckless!” Shirogane says.

As a black ball hit’s Dan’s left hand.

“Hmm?” Shirogane seems to be surprised. She quickly falls back to Umba.

“What’s the matter?” Umba asks.

“I broke his left arm but it seems that he is in no pain.” Shirogane says to Umba.

Umba smirks “Break his body.” Umba commands.

Shirogane nods.

Shirogane sends the black balls towards Dan.

*Swoop*

Dan’s face was stone cold as he dodged and looked towards Shirogane.

Dan just kept on moving forward, “You should have stayed away from Carly.” Dan says as he gave a stone-cold expression while walking towards Shirogane.

“You both should have stayed away from me!” Shirogane says.

The black balls won’t leave anyone alone even if they tried. These balls, they are my curse. It’s because of these balls that no one ever comes towards me...They all stay away from me. I have always had abilities that even I never understood.

I can always read everyone from their facial expression and these two balls have been protecting me since I was born. The only person who ever understood me was my mother...My mother whom the nobles decided to burn down! That man said those things with a smile. Those black balls are chasing him...I have to stop them or else they will hit him!

I try desperately to stop those black balls. They come to be but it was a close call. I sigh.

“You’re not a bad person...I am sorry being angry at you but you know, I can’t forgive you for trying to kill Carly because if anything happens to her. I will be sure to kill you and I won’t even think that you are a kid.” The man says.

“Hey what’s wrong?! Why did you stop?! This is a good opportunity! Kill him right now!” Umba says.

“I can’t...” That’s right...I can’t kill that person...I can’t get a good read on him nor can I kill him. He doesn’t seem like a bad person to me.” I say.

“WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?! DIDN’T YOU SAY THAT YOU WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOUR MOTHER?!” Umba was shouting at me but...

I ran, I ran towards that man standing in front of me and grabbed him.

The only other person who said that to me other than my mother was he...Everyone always looks at me like I am some kinda monster. I don’t want to be treated like that. I don’t like being treated like a monster. After all, I am a normal human too...

“HUH!?” This little girl decided to stick to my leg. It just surprises me.

“SIR DAN! Miss Carly will be fine!” Horrell says. “I have restored her organs back to normal, I am healing her wounds now. She will wake up in no time.” Horrell smiles.

I look at Umba, “Hey little girl, were you forced to work for Umba?” I ask.

“Does killing people satisfy you?” I ask.

“Yeah, you go and kick that Umba’s ass!” Fracia says with a smile.

“Go to the King, for the time being, I will fight Umba.” I say as I look towards Umba.

The little girl runs towards Fracia.

“You are so dead Umba!” I say with threat intended.

“KYAAAAAA!!!!!”

That’s Elena’s scream!

“ELENA!”

I look behind me as a guy with a scissor sword holds Elena as a hostage.

“So, who's dead again?” Umba says with a smirk.

This situation...Wasn’t the one I was anticipating.
