《The Class Of Dan ThunderField》20-The Commanders

This is strange...I feel something heavy over my body but I don’t understand what’s happening. It’s weirdly erotic.
I open up eyes.
...
Is that Gracie on top of me in her silk robe?
“Oh, you woke up Dan.”
What’s with her face? Why is...She so excited?
Gracie holds my face close to hers, “Let’s make some babies!”
“Huh?”
*SLIDE*
I open the door of our room.
*Kick*
And kick Gracie out of our boy’s room, “No thank you!”
*SHUT*
I say as I shut the door.
What the hell was that? I sigh, “Sleep is more important than sex.” I say as I get back to sleeping.
XXXXXX
It’s early in the morning,
“WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT KING?!”
I sigh, “I am not getting any more sleep, am I now?”
*BANG*
“Yo!” I say as I wave a peace sign to Carly who seems to be in an angry mood.
The King who was sleeping right next to me gets up topless and yawns.
Carly seems to be disgusted by something.
...
I am naked...The King is naked...Two guys are naked...
Jack, Luke and even Evan are naked.
Carly’s face gets red from embarrassment, “GET DRESSED YOU PERVERTS!”
*Bang*
“Perverts?” Jack seems to be confused.
We all are half-naked in our room. So, of course anyone who looks at us will think we are perverts.
XXXXXX
We reserve the big table for Fracia and us. Fracia and Carly are sitting in front of each other and I am sitting right next to Carly and Izumi while in front of me is Gracie.
“I want answers, why the hell is he here?!” Carly asks me.
“He’s innocent Carly, let be.” I say as I eat my supper.
“We lost a lot of people because of he’s inconvenience and you say he is still innocent?!” Carly...
She seems to be overreacting, “Sis, don’t you think you are overreacting to this situation?!” Jack says as he gulps down some juice.
“WHAT?! I am...Overreacting?” Carly says as she looks to be quite angry.
“Is it because of mother? Let me tell you, our mother was nothing like that old man, she was a proud Commander of Warfare. No one was as good as she was. As for that old man, tsch! He didn’t even care about her-” Jake says with an annoyed face but is soon interrupted by Carly.
*Slam*
“JACK!” Carly snaps out.
“Even you know about it sis. If father cared even a bit for our mother than he would have stopped her when he had a chance and yet...That day when he came to the city to visit us-“
“JACK ENOUGH!”
“Commander of Warfare...Wasn’t that Jill Jilheard?” Evan asks.
“That’s right, the same woman who got murdered in a war against The Southern Empire.” Jack says as he finishes his food.
“That’s wrong, she wasn’t killed in a war...She was murdered by someone.” Gracie says.
The King seems to be upset.
“What?!” Jack seems to be surprised.
Even Carly didn’t seem to know it.
“We don’t know who the killer is yet. It’s been almost 4 years but...No one seems to have gained any advantage from it.” Fracia says.
“What about the current Commander of Warfare? Have you checked them yet?” I ask.
I have only met Missus Jilheard twice yet but I know she was quite a kind and generous person. Also having a calming yet soothing voice and her singing was what I loved the most plus...She was Carly’s mother.
“The Commander of Warfare is voted via elections.” Fracia says, “And the votes were quite close too, to be honest, the current Commander should be the one to be murdered but that wasn’t the case. Instead, both accepted the results very sportingly while when it was Jill, she won with way too many votes. I don’t think everyone liked Jill but I don’t think anyone hated her either.” Fracia explains.
I wonder...
“Sir Dan...” Luke raises his hand, “Can we talk in private?” Luke asks.
“Sure.” I nod.
“I want to talk something too.” Elena says.
“Me too!” Horrell raises her hand.
What’s with them?
XXXXXX
I shift to another table with the three of my students, “So...What is it?” I ask.
“It’s about The Commander of Warfare...” Luke looks at me.
Do they know something about this?
“What does it exactly mean?” Elena asks me.
“Hein?!”
They didn’t know anything about it...Not even what it means...
I sigh, “It means someone who watches over the armies of the Kingdom. I should start from the basics actually.” I say.
They all seem to be interested in it, “There are four major commanders in a King’s court. They are elected by generals of the court. First: Commander of Warfare. A Commander of Warfare is someone who watches over the armies of the Kingdom, they command armies during wars. Forming strategies to fight, capture cities, ancient relics, explore dungeons and stuff like that. That’s the job of a Commander of Warfare.” I explain.
“Any questions?” I ask.
“Nope!” Everyone says.
I nod, “Moving onto the second one, The Commander of Diplomacy or they are also known as the King’s advisor. They take care of internal affairs, manage diplomatic relationships with foreign nations, give advice to the King and they are also the most loyal to the King.” I explain.
“So they are basically a King’s dog.” Elena says with a smile.
Seriously her thought process is kinda scary...
“Moving onto the third one, Commander of Engineering and Research, they manage the weaponry made within the weapon and use magic to repair them. They have a whole team of engineers to command. Engineers are just as talented as my brother. They also try and make new things and medicinal herbs. Basically, they command a med and the engineering team. Of course they need to have a high knowledge of medicine as well as robotics parts and magic. My brother sadly only has knowledge in robotic parts and magic due to which he can’t ever be a Commander.” I say with a disappointed smile.

Everyone seems to be invested.
“Now the final one, this guy is named The Assassin of the Court.” I say.
“Huh?!”
“What do you mean by The Assassin of the Court?” Luke asks.
“As much as everyone calls them a commander too but that’s just a single person. A single person who is worthy of wiping out a whole god damn army. Even the King himself doesn't know who that is because the Assassin of The Court is supposed to be someone that even the King doesn't answer face to face.” I say, “They are said to be the most powerful commander, someone whom even the King’s should fear. One could even call them Overpowered.” I continue.
“Overpowered?” Elena asks.
I nod, “A term used to describe someone with unimaginable power. Power beyond human comprehension.” I say.
“I see...” Elena says.
“That’s all the commanders.” I say with a smile.
“Sir Dan, wouldn’t you be considered an overpowered?” Elena asks me.
That was a surprise, I smile and answer, “I was clawed by you, remember.”
Elena looks to be sad.
“No...You were holding back...” Elena whispers.
“What?”
XXXXXX
“YOU SHITTY LITTLE BROTHER! FATHER IS THE ONE TAKING CARE OF YOU NOW! DON’T YOU BAD MOUTH HIM!”
I hear Carly scream and quickly turn around.
“YEAH RIGHT! WHERE WAS HE WHEN MOTHER WAS ALL ALONE?!! WHY DIDN’T HE COME WITH MOTHER TO THE KINGDOM?!”
The inn is hearing them scream at each other.
The King seems to be confused about what to do.
“I would be the reason for that.” I say.
“You...” Jack looks at me.
“Blame me for that old man having very little time for you.” I point at myself, “He was always busy training me, always trying to improve me in every single way possible.” I say as I look right into Jack’s eyes.
Jack breaks eye contact with me.
“Carly, would you please calm down? I understand times are hard but we can’t let your family problems get in the way of all these people. They need our help. If you guys keep on fighting how can we help them?” I look at both of them.
“If you guys wanna keep on fighting, you are free to leave the City.” I say.
“DAN?!” Carly seems to be surprised.
“I don’t want unnecessary quarrels between the citizens of Carliva.” I say.
Both Carly and Jack look away from each other. I sigh.
“Let’s get to work everyone.” I say.
“Hey Fracia, you know how to train young soldiers?” I ask.
“Yeah, I fight my wars too, you know. So of course, I do.” Fracia says.
I smile, “Luke, Elena your with me, Jack, go with the King, I want you to train with him today. Izumi and Horrell you two continue training with Carly and increasing your physical strength.” I order everyone their roles for today.
No seems to be objecting.
XXXXXX
At the open ground where I trained Elena and Jack yesterday.
“Aight, Elena, I want you to meditate and contact your inner self today. Try to escape your own mind.” I say as look at Elena.
Elena nods.
Elena sits down and closes her eyes. She begins her mediating.
I look at Look next.
“Yes sir!” I didn’t even say anything yet...
“I told you I was going to teach you a new technique, right?” I ask.
“That was weeks ago!” Luke says.
“It’s time.” I say with a smile.
“SERIOUSLY?! WOOHOO!” Luke seems to be excited but the training to just learn that single magic spell is going to be quite a pain in the ass.
XXXXXX
Carly is working on rebuilding the city along with Horrell and Izumi. All of them are carrying heavy bulk of things.
“Miss Carly...” Izumi calls Carly out.
“Is your package heavy? You should at least be able to pick up that much weight to compete with me and Dan.” Carly laughs it off.
Izumi shakes her head, “Do you and your brother always fight like that?” Izumi asks.
Carly looks at Izumi than sighs, “Yeah, it’s been like that since mother passed away. That shitty little brother of mine, always blaming father for mother’s death.” Carly says.
“But Sir Jake didn’t do anything, right?” Izumi asks.
“Maybe...Maybe not...Maybe Jack partly blames himself...I don’t know...I just don’t know anything...” Carly says with a sad face as she continues to walk.
Izumi looks to be upset.
XXXXXX
“PULL IT, COME ON!” Fracia says as he cheers Jack who has a rope tied around his waist and he seems to be pulling a huge boulder. Not really pulling it because it’s in the same position but you get the point of it.
“THIS TRAINING IS EVEN DEADLIER THAN THAT FUCKING TEACH’S TRAINING!!!!!”
XXXXXX
“The King, The Queen, The Knights, The Rooks, The Bishops, The Pawn all have been set. Who will die? Whose blood will shed? Will it be your pawns who you want to protect or the pawns that I am willing to sacrifice? Dan ThunderField and Koppel Fracia, are you guys ready for destruction?!”
A BIG FIGHT SHALL BEGIN SOON!

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
