《NEVER JUDGE》Chapter 35

At the police station Gabriel was cuffed and left in a room. They had already processed him and it seemed he would be spending a long time in jail.
“Someone is here to see you.” A police officer said.
Gabriel was surprised when Cedric entered. He was followed by a strongly built man behind him.
“You know, if you hadn't hurt my wife I would have let you go." Cedric had a dark aura about him as he spoke.
Gabriel began to laugh hysterically.
"Are you trying to say that I'm here because of you?" Gabriel mocked.
"Yes." Cedric said coldly.
"You are a nobody Cedric."
Cedric simply grinned at Gabriel's words.
The door opened again, and to Gabriel's surprise it was someone familiar to him.
"Mr. Alexander, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take bribes. You see my mom is sick." Gabriel pleaded at the sight of the man.
"I thought he was your friend." Alexi completely ignored the pleading man.
"He changed. Plus he hurt my wife." Cedric told Alexi.
Gabriel was shocked at the conversation. How did a poor man like Cedric know such an important government official such as Alexander Sebastian.
"Such an unfortunate man. Don't you know that it was Cedric that got you your job?" Alexi said with a grin.
Gabriel knew that, but he thought it was just because Cedic had known a member of staff, he didn't expect that Cedric knew Alexander Sebastian himself!
"I didn't think you would turn out like this Gabriel." Cedric's disappointment in his former friend was quite clear based on the look he wore.
"Who are you?" A clearly confused Gabriel finally asked.
Alexi grinned and lit a cigarette for himself before offering one to Cedric who refused.

"You hid it too well Ced. Gabriel can't even figure out who you actually are." Alexi teased. "If I were you Gabriel, I would think long and hard."
Suddenly the realization hit Gabriel like a wave. Only one person was so powerful and so low profile.
"Impossible! I've known you my whole life!" Gabriel said in shock.
Alexi suddenly laughed.
"You haven't known me your whole life, Gabriel." Cedric clarified.
Gabriel started to count.
"I transfered to Quirino Public School in high school. Prior to that I was someone else." Cedric finally said.
"Y-y-you can't be the Reyes Heir! What kind of family sends their heir to a public school?" Gabriel said in disbelief.
"You can't even begin to understand our world." Alexi said with a puff of smoke.
"Leon, let's go. Ray will deal with him right Alexi?" Cedric said as he turned to leave.
"Gabriel you're gonna wish you were just dead." Alexi put out his cigarette and left.
Gabriel had worked for the Sebastians long enough to understand that the Ray they were referring to was Raymund Laurence. Business tycoon to the public, king of the underground to those that belonged there.
“Thanks for the help today Alexi.” Cedric said as they exited the room.
“You could have managed it on your own if you weren’t so low profile.” Alexi admitted.
“Let’s go.” Cedric said.
“What about the other three?” Alexi asked.
“I’m going to make Chris Garin lose everything he loves and cares about.” At that Cedric and Alexi left the police station.
“You seem alright Miss Adrianna. You just need to avoid putting too much weight on your left foot. Also avoid wearing heels for at least two weeks.” The nurse told Adrianna as she did some final checks on her left ankle.

It seemed Cedric was right to over react and send his wife to the hospital nurse. Adrianna had twisted her left ankle and it needed some attention.
“Did Cedric tell you where we would meet him?” Adrianna asked Tom and Jo.
“He said to wait for him in the lobby. Guess what I heard Adrianna!” Tom boasted.
“It seems that after we left, Gabriel’s life took a turn for the worst. The manager demanded that he pay for everything, but his card bounced. Then he got sent to jail, and if rumors are to be believed it seems that he also lost his job.” Tom excitedly announced.
“What a stroke of luck!” Jo said happily.
“Are you ready to go to the lobby, Adrianna? Or do you still want to rest?” Tom asked.
“Let’s go and wait for Cedric.” Tom and Jo helped Adrianna get up and walk.
Alexi gave Cedric a ride back to the hotel. He was lucky that Alexi had just so happened to be a guest in an event in Quirino that day.
“What are your plans for the other two? You invested in them just the same.” Alexi asked his friend.
“I just gave them the opportunity, what they achieved depended on them. I’ll put Tom in a better position at Constellations, he’ll eventually take a management role. As for Jo, I’ve been talking to Miguel, he thinks Nicole can give Jo a good position in one of their hospitals. I was surprised to see Miguel impressed with someone, I take that as a good sign.” Cedric had helped each of the three get in the door. Some people, like Gabriel, let that fortune cloud their judgement, there were others that despite their achievements, remained humble, like Jo. However, there were some like Tom, who were just happy to have a job and chose not to rock the boat.
Alexi simply nodded and they rode in silence back to the hotel.
“Hey Adrianna, does Cedric have any bigshot friends?” Tom asked as he saw Cedric getting out of an expensive car.
“He knows some. I think people he met at work. Why?” Adrianna replied.
On cue Cedric entered the lobby with Alexi.
“Thank you for your testimony Cedric.” Alexi said in a relatively loud voice. Cedric wanted to scold him for being too loud and too obvious.
“I hope he goes away for a long time sir.” Alexi wanted to laugh at Cedric calling him sir.
Cedric went toward his stunned wife and friends.
“What was that?” Jo was shocked.
