《Shining Duos》Kung Peng Trial (2)

With new energize, energy and determination, Brenda fell into deep comprehension doing the same process for her other leg.
Now she was able to sense that new profound sensation a bit more clearly and speed up the process. As the same with her other leg, she took a step forward effortlessly meeting no resistance.
Moreover, when she touched the ground this time, her spirit senses fell into an abrupt enlightenment state. In her feelings, the new sensation wrapped the whole of her body, and she kept thinking about the essence of flowing through the air freely.
Time slowed to a halt for her. She could see the vibration in the air and felt the tiniest of Qi moving around in her body.
'Is this what he means by speed? To be unhindered in any environment, no matter the circumstance. To tear through the energy of the universe.'
She mumbled to herself, and all of her Qi vanished, leaving her unprotected against the chaotic wind. And yet oddly enough her body didn't move half an inch even her clothes barely moved.
'What the hell is she doing...no it can't be! Those eyes, her spirit sense and even standing completely still. Did she truly gain intent enlightenment?!' Senior Alar was absolutely stunned from Brenda now.
He couldn't process what he was seeing, and for someone who lived for tens of thousands of years, this was an achievement that is nearly impossible to do.
Furthermore, it was caused by Brenda abrupt intent enlightenment something that one in a million geniuses can only hope to achieve.
Intent enlightenment lets a cultivator explore and comprehend a bit of the intent law they were studying, and even if it's only a small part, it will hugely benefit that cultivator.
Not only is there no requirement of cultivation level, one needs to gain enlightenment, but after they come out of this state, one would already take a half step in the first level of their intent law.
Plus it's immeasurably more difficult to comprehend intent laws than the three stages of Qi laws. All cultivators have to go through the three stages of their Qi laws before intent laws starting from the Spirit Formation stage. Still, only true competent cultivators can comprehend intent laws.

'But still even if for speed laws there are no three stages of Qi laws for it, isn't this a little bit too ridiculous?!'' Senior Alar thought as only a single hour pass for Brenda yet she quickly on her way to gain speed intent laws. A freakish monster was what this young girl was!
Brenda indeed felt at one with herself and minute by minute, she felt more in tune with this overwhelming sensation.
After some time passed right then, Brenda's eyes bust open, and it seemed more precise and more profound than before. Senior Alar was filled with anticipation on what Brenda achieved in her little state.
With minimal Qi gathered she took a single step but;
'Swish!'
What seemed like a single step actually put her ten feet ahead, and beside sweating a bit, Brenda felt no resistance against the wind!
'T-T-That speed... I thought it was a little bit exaggerated about being able to take a half step in the first level of intent through intent comprehension but looks like I have to eat my words. Her speed increased so much that to even Heaven Rulers cultivators all they would see is her taking a single step. Heh, HAHAHA! Alright, girl show me your potential!' Senior Alar speculated in his mind wildly laughing about finding such a perfect inheritor.
To push Brenda even further, he increased the wind to the point where even Heaven King Sea cultivators would have trouble going through even with Qi.
Brenda did felt the air pick up quite a bit, but she was too absorbed in comprehending of what she was able to identify as speed intent laws.
'It felt so natural like I was taking a leisurely stroll despite the chaotic space! I will use speed to cut through this trial!' With each passing second, she was steadily understanding more about speed intent laws and didn't need to rely on her bloodline as well for comprehension.
This time she took what looked like was a few steps and yet ended up miles ahead of her original position. It was as if this was a casual jog for her. And the wind was but a cool breeze for her.

'Heh let's see what I can do with my bloodline on full bast now.' She thought to get a crazy idea and started to prepare herself.
'Sheesh, her performance is like she a true godchild. Alright let's see how you handle...hmm why did you sto-'
'BOOM!'
A massive sonic boom blast through the trial space as all the wind was through into chaos by a golden white streak of aura. The unmovable sand that wasn't affected by the wind was suddenly blasted everywhere.
Senior Alar was momentarily shocked by this new turn of events as Brenda was making rapid advancement to achieving the first stage of speed intent law.
Getting out of his shock, he still quickly followed Brenda no matter how fast she was, nevertheless he still couldn't believe his eyes. Feeling it more in detail that bloodline of the girl was indeed divine, but he also felt something more coming from her body.
However, he couldn't quite identify what it was, while Brenda felt like a fish in water running through the stormy winds. It was an invigorating sensation. Soon her vision came across a vast ocean that expanded endlessly.
Contrary to Senior Alar expectation, Brenda didn't stop at all and kept running until she was soon running on the water! And without a single hesitation, Senior Alar created some surprises for Brenda.
While on the water, Brenda speed was even increasing at an alarming rate until she felt some vibrations going off around her.
She soon was met with numerous whirlpools attempting to suck her in, and the power of these whirlpools wasn't anything to scoff at. Even Brenda before would have to go full force to get past these whirlpools but now?
Nothing can stop her momentum as she blasts through the whirlpools, splitting them apart. Although the surprises weren't over yet. As from the ocean came several sea monsters jumping in front of her.
To the killer sharks race, poisonous octopus race, and giant white whales race all wanted to drown Brenda in.
But right when the sea monsters saw Brenda in a split second, only an afterimage remained of her as the beasts were confused about how she moves so fast.
The beasts attempted to chase after only to see far in the horizon Brenda quickly disappearing. That kind of speed was far beyond their level, and all these beasts were Ruler Transformation level!
Brenda didn't know how long she had been running for as her speed tore through any obstacles Senior Alar set up for her and eventually she saw a grey floor with raging tornado rampaging about on it.
Feeling crazed and excited, she broadly smiled and didn't slow down at all as she zoomed straight in the raging tornado.
And like with everything else in the trial her speed tore through tornado not affecting her in the slightest. She was on cloud nine until;
'BANG!'
Brenda barely reacted and shielded herself as some force knocked her off balance. Skidding back a paint she came face to face with a grey Kung Peng made entirely up of air!
The air Kung Peng didn't hesitate and blasted out wind blades from its wings slicing straight to Brenda.
With an even more pumped up smile, Brenda instantly connected with her nearly completed first level of speed intent and dodged the wind blades.
Taking her sword out she blasted to the Kung Peng swiping at it but passed through its body.
From Brenda missed striking the Kung Peng dived to Brenda but to only lost as she circled around it. Her golden-white aura flared up immensely, and she prepares for battle with fire in her eyes.
'I see this will be a high-speed fight!'

To Become a Troll: A Monster Evolution Story
Thrust into the supernatural world of the deep forest, Paul finds himself in a situation where he could find himself prey to pretty much every other creature and animal around. If he's to survive, he must shed his weak form to grow stronger and survive. But the forest is full of creatures beyond human understanding, that act without the need for food or shelter and that seem to exist for the sole purpose of dragging humans to the bottom of a murky river. Is it really possible to kill such creatures when your only strength is physical prowess? --- A monster evolution story based on Swedish creature mythology. The focus will overwhelmingly be on the progression of the main character and his slow increase in strength. Although many of the creatures are based on Swedish creature mythology, I have taken creative liberties in order to ensure that evolution lines and the such are in line with the usual. The main thought I had when going into this is that I want to delay the "meeting a human" section as much as possible. My plan is to get him to endgame levels of strength before even sniffing the possibility of seeing a human. Whether I'm actually able to do this remains to be seen, but I'm holding my thumbs! Also, I'm aware that there are other troll evolution stories, but this is unrelated to them. They can do their stuff and I'll do mine, but this is in no way related to any of them. That said, hope you enjoy it!

Apostle of the Goddess
A disappointed man dreams of leaving the confines of Earth and living adventures in fantastic realms...Suddenly, his wish is granted... Albeit in a far different way from what he could have expected. An isekai genre story with a few elements from LitRPG. The overall tone will be jumping back and forth from light to dark. Expect a lot of references to anime, manga, games, etc.It is written in first-person view and will contain a side-story using a "real-life" character. Initially, the MC will be writing the story as a true journal, so the prologue and first chapters may appear a mess of things that already happened, journal entries, and afterthoughts. A few chapters in, it will change into a normal, first-person manner retelling of what happened (storywise the character "Records" what happened to him). This is a side project of mine, so I will be uploading a few chapters per month. Chapters may have a severe difference in length (albeit I will try to maintain them around 3k), but expect the overall monthly word count to be not less than 15k words.Author recommendation, if you intend to follow the story, read the new updates once a month (counting from the day the first chapter is uploaded). Content Warning: I do intend to include a few disturbing moments to emphasize the darkness of the human (and other beings) nature, so please consider that even though some chapters (especially the starting ones) are kinda like a comedy routine.
