《Shining Duos》Bottom of Ashes Mountain

Once the shout was heard everyone rushed over to where the trident was thinking they could find something valuable in them until Kazami roared to them;
"DON'T TOUCH THEM! Besides Kuzumi, Lun Yuo, and I no one can touch them!" Elder Wayne and Elder Michi seemed to immediately understand why and notice the mist was clearing up now.
"Hurry to that dirt ash path now!" Now giving up on the lone tridents, everyone rushed to the dirt ash path across them, making just in time as the mist fully cleared up.
Behind them from far away, Elder Wayne and Elder Michi felt a powerful aura rapidly approaching there as the ever prudent mist was now clearing up.
Once they were on the path, they didn't stop and ran on the road leading them towards the base of towering black mountains. On each side of the trail was the color forest, but this time most of it was covered by the same black ash that was on the road.
While they were running, all of them unquestionably felt the presence of beats stronger than Origin Formation arriving at that lake intending to check it out.
Fortunately for them, they already long left the area and arrived at the start of a black ash path going through the mountains. Although with how spent they all are, nobody had the intention of continuing forward.
Elder Michi was getting an idea, and going on to a side of one of the mountains; she started to gather up Qi to carve out a cave big enough for them.
Realizing what she was doing Muji asked the elder;
"Elder Michi, I thought you couldn't use power in this area?"
Shaking her head, she started to explain to them;"No, there was a reason why we couldn't use our powers in this mist, and before it was much simpler to avoid battles. As of now, we're not in Ashes mountains yet only the entrance of it." But she did only use a little bit of her power to carve out a cave big enough to fit all nineteenth of them.

Once inside, she put a large rock in the front of the opening to shield them and then crushed a talisman, setting up a concealing barrier outside.
This way, they won't be noticed by any monster since they're hidden away, and meanwhile, Joe Xiu lighten up a green fire in his hand strong enough to lit up the whole cave. Hiles also joined in and created a torch to put the light on.
After everything settled, the group started to sit down and relax after that hard-fought battle. Elder Wayne had gotten everyone's attention when he brought out three golden pills filled with life energy.
"I didn't think we would have to use three heavenly rank healing pills already, but you three are undoubtedly the most useful here." He said and tossed two pills at Lun Yuo while one at Brenda.
Nobody else had any objection to using such a valuable resource so early. As of now, they would've all died without the trio divine powers. Against those deadly tridents, those trio powers seem above even that.
Lun Yuo ate the pill while also forcing it down Kuzumi's mouth and Brenda doing the same with Kazami. Soon Kazami and Kuzumi passed out to heal, but Lun Yuo was still up as she didn't take as much damage as Kazami or over-exert herself, like Kuzumi.
Lun Yuo laid Kuzumi on her lap since she fell asleep in her arms and leaned back against a wall.
Brenda decided the best course of action was to give Kazami a lap pillow so he could heal up faster, although she did have a blush on her face. Kazami was also still clutching on to the trident as well, even as he was sleeping.
"Elder Wayne and Elder Michi just what was that mist, those sharks and those tridents?" Eran asked, and everyone was innately curious about this as they are shaken up on everything that happens in this mist.

"Well, for starters like we mentioned before, what we faced was the Blue Oblivion Sharks race, and we only just now came to this conclusion after recalling the description of their appearance from our people. We've done some digging and out found there a very exotic race hailing from God Realms and shouldn't even exist on our planet, but for some reason, they were here." Elder Wayne started off recounting all he had to learn so far.
"We would've told other provinces but without clear and concrete fact no one would believe telling from an Origin Formation cultivator. Although despite matching the description, there was something off about these sharks and the weapons they were using call Neptune God Weapons."
"Neptune God Weapons?!" All of them were astounded hearing what they just faced right now were essentially godly figures above their whole planet.
"Yes, but I'm not sure what it was but those sharks compared to what little information we got, they were too weak. I'm not sure what it was, but if they were legitimate, Blue Oblivion Sharks, as they could easily take over this planet without a hitch." Finishing everyone sucked in a cold breath only grateful the faced what it seem to be knock-off sharks.
"And those tridents we have little information on that but all we got was they could call upon a mist to weaken their foes, alert their allies and give them insane prowess. Although we haven't heard of a person getting hurt if they touch the trident." Elder Michi picked explaining one of Neptune God Weapons, but Azus asked then;
"So that's why you all couldn't use your powers? The mist would've alerted whatever beast they have hidden, and that beast probably would be connected to the white slaughtering tiger, right?"
"Right, outside the field, we could distinctly sense a strong Ruler Transformation beast lying in slumber, and when we got wrapped up, it severely weakens our power the most. If we would've tried that mist would've alerted the Ruler Transformation beast and slaughter us all." Elder Michi affirmed and picking up as she was done Elder Wayne said;
"But it's good we manage to survive and even kill the sharks. Right now, we can't afford to think how these sharks got here or why their here as now we're right at Ashes Mountain. Everybody takes an earthly healing pill and rest well here. Tomorrow it will be the start of our long trek through Ashes Mountain as we will traveling as slowly and carefully as possible."
Once he stated, everyone but Lun Yuo took out a green pill and started to heal themselves back to their peak shape.
'This planet, even with God Realms mission center, shouldn't even have exotic Godly Races or that frightening power force in that cave which was defiantly at least in the divine path. We may be in for a long mission.' Lun Yuo thought before deciding to get some sleep.

In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
