《Shining Duos》Beyond Logic

"Failure Next!"
"Haah, how could they make this test so difficult for us juniors."
"Yea, only those powerful clans made it through, and that orange hair girl is number one here!"
The youth divisions were lamenting just how truly challenging this test was, and most seem to believe there was no other insane talent here.
"By the way, should we worry about people targeting us because of the talent we're going to show off?" Lun Yuo couldn't help but ask right before her turn.
"Oh, don't worry about that were essentially nobodies here. Most people will want us to recruit into whatever faction there is around here. But with this mission, I feel we won't have to worry about that," Kazami assured her already guessing the hidden agenda the Great Cloud sect might have.
"Alrighty, then."
Stepping up to the Stone bear beast Lun Yuo was the first to go out of the three of them. She was calm and relaxed facing this beast, and she was able to sense it was equivalent to a 3rd level Origin Formation, making the orange hair girl's achievement all the better in her eyes.
However, everyone else was waiting for her to fail as they all were discouraged after seeing the orange hair girl's performance, and no one believed anyone could beat her.
The beast had surprisingly regrown it severed arm and wanting to have some fun Lun Yuo stomped on the ground, and in a flash, several vines sprouted from the ground, wrapping up the monster and raising it high in the air.
This caught everyone's interest, even the older division since they would rarely see such mastery with the element at such a young age.
"To think grass Qi could get used like that!" Someone shouted, and everyone couldn't help but agree since her control over the vines was terrific.
Although she wasn't done there as Lun Yuo then moved the vines to grab on the stone beast neck, arms and legs pulling it in every direction. For the first time out of every challenger, the beast has started to struggle to want to break free, even go so far to unleash it's Origin Qi.
Even when the beast was face to face with the orange hair girl golden sword Qi, it still felt no danger towards its life. Because it has a regeneration ability, the beast would usually not move a muscle, and now it was using Origin Qi!
But even with its Origin Qi, it still wasn't enough as she merely used a vine that sprouted from her palm to go in the beast monster body and suppress it's Origin Qi.
"What the hell! I never saw the beast move before, and it's using Origin Qi! How's it not breaking free from this girl!"

"She has to be using a talisman! But she is only using Spirit Qi, just how!?"
"It's not ordinary Spirit Qi; it's Spiritual Elemental Qi! And it's quite strong too." The instructor pointed out intensely watching Lun Yuo actions.
"Another one?!"
"But isn't this a little bit too strong for Spiritual Elemental Qi!"
Everyone was awestruck of just how this mighty beast got so suppressed by this little girl in the Spirit Formation realm! Even with Spiritual Elemental Qi, it still shouldn't be stronger than Origin Qi, right?
"Break for me." Lun Yuo composedly said, and the next moment broke everyone's logic.
'Ka-Cha!'
As if it were pieces of paper, each vine tore off parts of the body to its head down to its legs, leaving the dismembered stone body to crash right back down.
All the pieces crashed back down to the ground, and Lun Yuo casually walked up to the instructor saying;
"So, I'm ready for the next part."
However, everyone in the whole field was silent among the display the just witness. A 7th level Spirit Formation girl effortlessly tore apart a 3rd level Origin Formation Stone bear beast. This beast got explicitly used for its great defense and a large pool of Origin Qi.
Even when the orange hair girl did sever its arm tearing through the stone bear defense, the beast still didn't put up any resistance or use Origin Qi!
This lead people to believe she could probably fight with half-step Origin Formation for a bit, but what Lun Yuo did was too freaky. She has the actual ability to fight a realm above her own and kill them! Something never was seen in their province, and rarely seen throughout the entire world!
Her power was a clear shattering of reality and demonstrated what it means to be a pure genius.
"Ah! Right here, it is."
The instructor snapped out of it and handed her the white ball, and everyone was anticipating just what talent she would even be.
Lun Yuo touched the ball, making it instantly flash dazzling rainbow colors all swirling around each other, creating a magnificent scene.
"D-D-DIVINE TALENT?!?" Enormous hysteria struck the instructor and when everyone else heard it;
"DIVINE?!" This outburst wasn't exaggerated in any way for years, would they rarely see a 5-star talent, but everyone knew a divine talent means they would also have a future in God Realms!
"So it is a young divine genius; for someone like you, there no need for you to participate in this mission. You can join our sect directly, and I'll even arrange for you to meet with our several masters so you can skip joining the outer sect disciples." The instructor had a big smile on his face realizing they caught an outstanding genius.

"Wow! That sounds great, but I always like to experience action, so no offense, I will still like to go on the mission, please." Lun Yuo kindly smiled at the man.
"Oh, of course, of course! The youths shouldn't be afraid of a little action; let's take you over to sit and relax." The instructor praised having an even better attitude than when he was with the orange hair girl.
After she settled down, everyone else was still shaken up by her crushing talent, and watching the next girl go up, they all similarly thought, 'there no way there going to be a third freak, right?'
However, they would soon be disappointed as Kuzumi was taking the stand now. There was a new Stone bear beast out again, which was as imposing as the last one.
Wanting to outperform Lun Yuo, Kuzumi raised her hand and started to gather an extensive amount of her blue fire Qi there, increasing the field's temperature by a crazy amount.
It was getting so hot that even Origin Formation cultivators were feeling like they were burning up. As for the beast which was in the center of it, it was already kneeling trying to circulate it's Origin Qi and protect itself.
The beast had no time to fight back or do anything since Kuzumi blue fire Qi was slowly suppressing it. Deciding it was enough, she stretched hand peacefully saying;
"Bang!"
'SSSRRR!'
Blue fire burst from her hand, wrapping up the beast burning it to ashes.
The young Spirit Formation cultivators got forced to circulate their Spirit Qi to protect themself because of the intense heats. At the same time, some Origin Formation had to put up a small barrier.
Once the fire cleared up by Kuzumi, all that got left of the beast was mere ashes to be blown off into the wind.
"..."
An infinite amount of jaws dropped at what just transpired. All of it happens in a second. Unlike the Lun Yuo test, there wasn't anything of the beast left.
Walking over to the instructor who already had the white ball out she put her hand on it and just like Lun Yuo it flashed with bright colors until;
"AGAIN!? DIVINE TALENT?!" He called out with bulging eyes. Thinking this was some dream.
"The-The fuck is going on here!?!?!" Nobody can make sense of these freaky geniuses, and all of their brains started to lag.
"Oh, I'll be taking the mission first as well," Kuzumi told them and already wandered off to sit next to Lun Yuo.
"Wha-What? Oh, right, yea, you can..." The instruction powerlessly said and seemed jet-lagged.
Then came Kazami turn, and walking up to the test, all eyes were on him now. Before, they didn't pay attention, but now they notice all three stick close together, and naturally, they believed they were all friends.
'Is he gonna have the same monstrous talent.' A widespread thought shared by many there. Even the instructor felt something from seeing Kazami walked, and this time decided to bring out a 4th level Origin Formation beast!
The stone beast this time was a sizeable wicked ape, and they all could feel it was more potent than the bear!
Kazami, however, was undisturbed by this time and wanting an, even more, flashier performance he activated his red ice aura and rushed the ape.
"Holy shit! So fast and that aura!?" But the shock didn't end there as when Kazami arrived in a flash. The ape instinctively reacted, attempting to swing its large arm at Kazami, who turned his arm at it, and once contact made the beast's entire arm frozen.
And right when he froze it, he created two ice pike and stabbed straight through the ape completely tearing through its body.
'Chi!'
The beast was frozen solid in an instant, and when he took his hand out the creature, it crumbled into tiny little red ice shards.
Not even giving the watching crowd a moment to breathe he grab the ball and shining even a little bit more brightly than the two girls had gotten;
"D-d-d-divine talent again..."
"As expected, oh, and I'll be taking on the mission too," Kazami said while walking and sat right in between Kuzumi and the orange hair girl.
At this point, no words could be said between anyone as the instructor only slowly nodded his head, and everyone forces themselves to pay back attention to their test. Although never in their life will they forget the moment of three divine talent geniuses showing their prowess.
Kuzumi and Lun Yuo was still sitting peacefully, and Kazami turned around to look at the orange hair girl who held an intense gaze in her rather bored-looking eyes.
"Hey."
"Hi!"
They both spoke at the same time overlapping each other, leading to Kazami lightly chuckle while the girl looked moderately confused about talking so excitedly.
"Well now, eager, are we? What's your name? You were pretty good out there."

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races.As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Living With Magic
Arthur, a young magician, is struggling with crippling social anxiety. The issue has reached a point where he likely won't graduate from University. Reaching a crossroads, he must decide whether to try and return to a family he despises or make his own path in the world. Is the magical power he has actually beneficial in the real world? Authors Note: I'm terrible at writing a synopsis, but over time I hope to write a better one. One of my favorite series of books is the Magicians by Lev Grossman and I hope to follow that same line of thinking within my story. How would a society built around magic actually exist and is power and magic actually as great as other stories make it out to be? The story and characters will be completely original and I will try to update the story on a regular basis. Also, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Summoning America
Entirely cut off from Earth, the United States finds itself in a scientific impossibility: the entire country, including the continental landmass and separated states and territories, was transported to another world. Unlike Earth, this new planet boasts phenomena unknown to science. Magic reigns supreme in this new region of the universe, bolstered by the natives' own scientific progression. Monsters roam wastelands and dungeons, subsisting off unfortunate travelers, local fauna, and sometimes even entire towns! Ambassador Samuel Anders is tasked with contacting the various nations and entities of this new world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. Eventually, fears surface regarding an ancient evil: the Ravernal Empire. How will the United States handle the threats of this new neighborhood? What magical wonders will its adventurous citizens find? This Summoning Japan inspired work will follow the United States as it is summoned to a New World. The story will begin with the United States’ initial encounter with the Rodenius continent. Although starting similarly to the original story, Summoning America will begin to diverge greatly as the war against the Lourian Kingdom comes to an end. For the context of this work, I expect that you have already familiarized yourself with the original piece, “Summoning Japan” also known as “Nihonkoku Shoukan”.
