'BANG!'
A considerable bang exploded out, creating a mini shock wave! As the pair of brother and sister unleashed their mystical lightning powers and formed a beam of pure lightning energy their respective colors. A crater broke apart the ground right in the middle of beams clashing.
Such power beyond what any ordinary person can only dream of doing was made possible because of the twins' advancement in the Qi connection stage.
Their bodies washed by Qi was now capable of performing magical feats such as this, firing lightning out of their fingers like a laser.
"C'MON BROTHER! LET US KEEP GOING UNTIL THERE'S NOTHING LEFT!"
Kuzumi shouted at the top of her lungs, making her beam spin crazily. Her blue lightning Qi while clashing against Kazami power, was slowly doing something mysterious.
Her lightning was absorbing some of the red lightning Qi and having transfer right into Kuzumi's body!
Her body began to wrack with pain, and her arm started to feel numb. Nevertheless, she gritted her teeth through the pain and kept firing on. Such an insane process, not even other cultivators would do was actually a common occurrence for the twins to take part in.
Their bodies seemed to become immensely stronger than average by doing it, and it sped up the process of refining their bodies with ordinary Qi.
"HAHAHA! Right! Right! Keep it coming; I can go all day!"
Kazami similarly shouted and was doing the same process as Kuzumi. As lightning started to fill their body and more lightning energy started to leave them, their bodies began to become more wear down, and the flesh on their skin started to burn.
'Ssssh'
The sound of their skin was burning, and inside their body, lightning raged around in them and started to cause intense pain. However, even with pained looks on their face, they kept crazily pouring more energy into their beams.

"Arrrgh! Not yet, we've been stuck at the first stage of the Qi Connection stage for a while, only filling our arms with lightning Qi we need more. Brother! Today is the day we go for the peak from all this time of our practice!"
Kuzumi, wracked with pain, clenched her teeth, and said.
Yes, despite being able to achieve feats no other first stage Qi connection can do, the two had been stuck at this stage for months. Nobody knew why but the amount of Qi the twins needed was massive to breakthrough.
The only bright side to their situations was able to wield the lightning element so easily. Usually, one would have to rigorously comprehend a cultivation manual of Qi types to access the other properties of Qi.
However, even at a young age, the twins could easily comprehend the element of lightning and form their specific color.
Kazami slightly acknowledged her words, and through the pain, he was filling his body up with her blue lightning Qi.
Their previous attempts at doing this would always leave them to suck dry before finishing it, though now, they could hold out for longer with improved control.
Using Kuzumi lighting, he reinforced every part of his body down to the organs and bones, with the lightning leaving nothing left empty. And from this was able to generate even stronger red electricity and was using that to connect his other five main body points — the legs, the stomach, the chest, the eyes, and finally the brain.
The Qi Connection stage requires all cultivators to use the air's pure energy and fill their body up to the point where they reform the entire body inside and out, creating the cultivator body. The six stages of this realm all refer too how far one filled on of the main points of the body and completely transform that part.

It's why the twins' method was so unorthodox since seldom you would hear someone filling their body with elemental Qi or any other unique Qi type.
This process was something only geniuses could do and fill their body with. The twins decided to disregard the necessary energy from the air and form their own unique cultivator body.
Although it's very tough as one has to stand the pain of whatever unique Qi they are using and the process is five times as longer than the conventional way, the benefits are ten times greater than the average cultivators.
Suddenly the twin's body started to crack!
'CRACK! BAM!'
Their bodies exploded along with their merging lightning beam sending the twins flying crashing into the ground with their clothes now bloodied from their training. Neither moves a muscle for one minute,
two minutes,
five minutes,
And then!
'SWISH!'
"AHHHHHH YEA!" Kazumi jumped extremely high with a red lightning trail coming from his feet, reaching a height of 20 meters in the air. A feat that could cause an extreme shock as no one in the Qi Connection could ever jump so high much less wield their elemental surprisingly well.
"IT'S ABOUT TIME! TOOK FAR TOO LONG!!"
Kuzumi shouted and was also the same height in the air with a blue lighting trail from her.
"Our bodies have truly transformed now. We can now take that journey in power with this." Kazumi had calmed down a bit and started to float down with his lightning slowly.
"A shame we can't outright fly yet, but this will do for now." Kuzumi, landing on the ground, had an expectant look on her face.
"So wha-" Before Kazumi could finish his sentence;
"Well, now the two little cubs had managed to achieve a breakthrough, hmm?"
A mysterious woman who had suddenly appeared out of now, and had slightly shocked the twins!
"Aunty, Lia?!"

Human Altered
Earths Engineers are a double-edged sword. They can fix or improve anything, but no sane Xeno Engineer will touch it if it carries the Human Altered warning.. A series of interconnected tales from our distant future. It's not a novel, most of the chapters are stand-alone. Also thanks for the awards. https://discord.gg/eU4SgFr

Cast away onto a strange world, Clay Summers has a chance to live the life he's always wanted. A life of adventure; a life of magic. A life on the high seas.
8 138Two Sides
Heroes and monsters are the staples of fantasy. Swords and magic, fairies and dragons, adventures and death; all things went hand in hand in some worlds not our own. Elaine Dawn grew up listening to those stories as a child, imagining, aspiring, yet as she grew she slowly lost her dreams and became detached from what the world could be, slowly becoming one with the world that was. Yet one night she found herself in a dream that became reality, and oh there they were; heroes and monsters, swords of steel, magic of tales, fairies and dragons of old, and adventures that held riches and death both. She had no fantastic magic, no supernatural strength. All she had was herself, her coin, and her life. But that was enough. As she stared into the distance, to the mountain-sized horrors of the night, she smiled and tossed her coin once again.
8 277Of Righteous Evil
To wield the magical Arts. The power to manipulate nature itself. Follow Silas on his journey as he learns what it means to be a Mage. With war brewing on the horizon, Silas' plan to become a hero clashes with the harsh reality of conflict. Torn between contradicting emotions, he will have to reconsider his perceptions of both good and evil. Does the end truly never justify the means? Note from author (13.09.20): Sentences have been shortened, less commata used. Paragraphs have been split up. Meant to be "realistic" fantasy, with no overpowered protagonist or evil sorcerer trying to destroy the world. The focus lies on the characters, their progressions and their inner conflicts, coupled with an intricate magic system. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated! HIATUS Updates: 12.12.20 Chapter 1 & 2 are written together. The backstory of the parents will be integrated into one of the later chapters. 20.12.20 Prologue has been rewritten, fight added. 8 71Roulette: A Random Tale
Waking up in a strange world with amnesia? Not good. Having no access to the System or Status Screens that everyone else seems to be using? Not great. Randomly gaining powers that you have no idea how to control? Not super. Said powers changing/replacing themselves at random and inconvenient times, usually when you're just getting used to them? Not cool. Not being able to control this constant change in your powers in any way? Not awesome. People considering your random powers - that can range from completely useless to nigh godlike - to be a threat to the world as they know it? Really bad. The local ability stealing Big Bad taking an interest? Even worse. But you try. You try to make it through your life, even when things seem to be stacked up agains you. You got dealt a bad hand, but you're gonna make the best of it. Or die trying.
