《The Assassin System》Chapter 2: The Card

"Alright, all of you settle down. Class is about to start."
"My name is Haywin. And I'll be your Homeroom and English Professor for the semester."
Gazing throughout the whole classroom, Professor Haywin then pointed at the left far end of the auditorium.
"You there, stand up."
Everyone looked at the direction Professor Haywin pointed, and what greeted everyone's eyes were a girl wearing a hoodie and had her black hair tied to a ponytail.
"M-me, sir?"
With a blank expression, Professor Haywin confirmed Lilia's question.
"Yes you. Who else would I be pointing to? The ceiling?"
Gulping a mouthful of saliva, Lilia stood up, staggering from time to time while doing so.
"I... Why did you choose me?!!!" Thought Lilia in her head.
Ever since childhood, she was the silent type when it came to meeting or talking to people in person.
And now, being told by the Professor to stand up within everyone's gaze made Lilia feel really unpleasant.
"You're new to this class right? Why don't you tell us about yourself?"
Scratching her head, Lilia said,
"But, Professor..... There are other students new as well right?"
After she said this, the whole class laughed, like what they heard was nothing but just a joke.
With a nonchalant expression, Professor Haywin said,
"Not exactly, the supposed to be new students all exchange their class before the term started. When I checked, only you remained."
Hearing this, Lilia immediately became disheartened.
"I didn't know about this!!!" She shouted within her head.
"Now, off with the dilly dally. Tell us about yourself would you."
Giving a dry cough and swiping her imaginary sweat off her forehead, Lilia then began to tell the Professor (everyone) about herself.
"M-my name is Lilia Evergreen. I'm living with my Aunt and Uncle."

"....."
Seeing the silence the class and the Professor was giving her, Lilia began to feel shivers.
"Ahhhh!!! Why are you all looking at me like that!!!" Was what she said in her head.
With a blank expression, Professor Haywin asked,
"Is that it?"
Lilia nodded her head rigorously.
*Quack*
Sighing, Professor Haywin shook his head sideways and gestured Lilia to sit down.
After that, he then began to explain the class schedule and their topics for the whole semester.
Throughout the whole time, Lilia listened intently. Trying her best not to miss a note.
Although her social skills were so bad that it reaches the point of her being air, that doesn't mean that her academic skills were the same.
"Alright, that's it for today. Go have your lunch or whatever. Then do whatever you want."
The class then started to prepare to leave for lunch, but then, Professor Haywin returned and said,
"Oh yeah before I forget about this, I'll leave an assignment. Dismissed."
This then gained the loud refusal of the class.
.....
After Professor Haywin left, I then began to pack up.
Well that was a first day huh.
Camara University, The university that I joined, has its own special rules.
And those rules are very simple.
First rule, students can choose their class. The only mandatory class would be Homeroom and that's it.
Second rule, the students are always free. Don't understand it? Simple. The rule means that students are free, the university would not restrict them unless they do some violations like fighting within the campus.
Students can also freely wear what they want (As long as it isn't revealing). This is done just to have a guest on the students personality. Like what they said, people express their personality sometimes through clothing.

Students can also decide for themselves if they would attend other classes or roam around. They only have to make sure that they pass the end semester tests.
Exponentially there are many more other rules but these are the more 'noticed' ones.
While packing, I suddenly remembered about the small black box.
Checking the pockets on my hoodie, I retrieved the small black box from my hoodie's grasp.
Once more, I inspected the box.
"Anything else special?" I thought while inspecting the box.
Seeing that there are nothing else to inspect instead of the note, I then opened the box's lid.
"Huh?"
There on the box, I saw a blue crystal looking card.
Taking the card from the box, I then began to inspect it.
"This..... What does this even do?"
There was nothing interesting on the card besides that it looks really beautiful.
"What are you a cosmetic or something?"
Doing a more thorough inspection on the card once more, Lilia didn't noticed that the card's edges suddenly sharpened, which in turn, gave her a slit.
Due to this, she unknowingly dropped the card. The card however, flashed and then disappeared before it had hit the floor.
"Ah! That's sharp."
*Initiating power up*
"What a paper cut.... Ah, it's a card so it a card cut."
*Blood signatures registered*
"Heh? What's this?"
*Power initiated, System powered up, System greets host*
"Aha, aha, who are you! Where are you! Don't play tricks on me!!"
"Hello host, I am still unnamed as you have not given me any name yet, but I can assure you that I can guide you throughout your journey on Astral Fantasy."
"W-wh-wh-what!! Astral Fantasy is a game! Not some invisible person talking!"
"Host, people are watching you."
"Eh?"
Lilia zoned out when the 'invisble person said this'. When she looked around, some other classmates of hers looked at her like she needed to go to the mental hospital.
"Eh-ah-hh??"
"Ahhhhhh!!!"
Out of embarrassment, Lilia immediately took her bag, ran out of the room as fast as she can, and straight away ran to who knows where.
"Host, be carefull. You might trip yourself."
"Shut up!!"
.....
"Haaa, haaa, haaa."
Looking around, Lilia felt relieved that no one was around.
"That was embarrassing...." She thought.
"Host, congratulations. You just made an achievement of running from the third floor all the way to the rooftop."
To tired to even care, Lilia simply said,
"Is that even an achievement?"
"No host. It isn't. Although I do think that losing 36.79 calories could be an achievement."
"You...."
Speechless, Lilia sat down on the rooftop's floor, lifeless.
"You took record of that."
The voice then replied,
"Why of course, I must take note of the actions and every activity the host does so that I could create the best of the best form for you."
Not paying attention to the voice's ending words, Lilia contemplated on the words 'actions and every activity'.
She then suspiciously asked,
"What else did you took record."
"Well, I took record of the host body."
Flabbergasted, Lilia shouted,
"Body?!!"
"Yes, body. Like your half D cup breast size, your weight, your height, your everyday hobby, even your ferti-"
"Stopppuu!!"
"....."
Hearing such things from the voice, Lilia became beet red.
Just what is going to happen on my life now?!?!
