"Those two adventurers' moves were something I've never seen before, so this is how they fight huh."
"Our two generals were knocked out by that intense blow. I don't think I would've remained unscathed after that kind of attack."
Everyone had different reactions regarding the fight's outcome, some were overwhelmed, awed, and surprised, while some are disappointed due to the loss of their generals.
"Those were some nice moves! Oh, I know! Since both of you will live here from today onwards, you'll need to have a job, why don't you try being a squad captain? as much as I want to grant you the title of General and commander immediately, we can't do that because you will still have to prove yourselves by getting achievements." Vincent immediately went up to them and offered them a job.
"We're grateful for your offer, Your highness, but we will need some time to think about it." replied Tanya.
"Then, Kagami-dono was it? How about you?"
"I also need time to think this through, I apologize for rejecting your offer, your highness."
"I see, well, if both of you decided to accept my offer, just tell Lucas about it."
""Thank you very much""
The three of them continued talking among themselves about the battle earlier, while Vincent wanted to know how they were able to execute flawless moves, Tanya and Kagami also asked for more information regarding this world's magic.
Airi and Nathia walked up to Klee, Klei, and me. I thought that they would ask me about the fight earlier, but all they talked about waa food, they even asked me to teach them how to cook properly. In the end, I just gave them some tips as to how a person's cooking skills can improve in a short amount of time.
The usual conversations went on for a while until I felt tanya and kagami walking up to me.
"So you were here, I want ask you somet-" Tanya's words got cut off and a look of shock and surprise appeared on their faces when they say Nathia.

"T-This little girl."
"N-No way, n-nathia?"
Tanya and Kagami looked at Nathia with their face filled with confusion.
"Calm down, you two, she's not the Nathia that you know of"
"Y-Yes, we were just too surprised by how similar their appearance are. We apologize for showing you such an unsightly behavior."
"No need for an apologize, I can understand why you would react that way." I replied to them.
"B-But still... they resemble each other too much, it's as if I'm looking at a younger version of Nathia."
"Yeah... who would've thought that we would encounter something crazy like this."
"ummm... Lucas-sama, who are they talking about?" Nathia, who was behind me asked.
"The three of us once had a companion, and both of you had the exact same face and name. That's why they were shocked when they saw you." I replied to her.
"I-Is that so... is she the student that you once spoke of? the one that always asked for headpats after training?" she asked while her curiosity showed on her face.
"You're right, she is my student, but... she died."
"I-I'm sorry for asking!"
"Don't worry about it."
"Ummm, If I may ask... did.. What was the cause of her death? was she killed by a monster?" asked Nathia nervously.
"Yeah...she... died at the hands of a monster... A monster that I can't even stop, a monster that is bound by its own principles."
Tanya and Kagami's faces faltered when they heard my reply.
"principles?"
"Ahh don't worry about it, that monster is now gone. In the end I managed to defeat it."
"I see... that student of yours must be happy, now that you avenged her!"
"Hahaha, who knows? Anyways, enough about the past, let's change topics."
The celebration went on for a few more hours until it finally ended. Everyone went back to their homes while some stayed for night duty. The students were guided to their rooms and Tanya and Kagami went back to the inn earlier.

While Airi and the others are sleeping, I went to the library by myself in order to acquire more knowledge, and while I am reading, I suddenly felt a familiar presence approaching the room. Although it didn't harbor any hostility, I still put up my guard, in case the unexpected happens.
30 more minutes passed.
"You've been standing behind the door for 30 minutes already, aren't you getting tired? Ms. Famah."
"How did your highness find out that I was there? I'm using a high-level concealment magic, except for Lily-sama, no one has been able to detect my presence when I use this."
"I have my ways, so?, what business does the magus have with me?"
"Since I don't really like beating around the bush, allow me to be direct. Your highness, where did you meet those two?" she asked me with a sharp look on her face.
"I just met them while traveling, why the sudden curiosity?"
"Is that really the case? Your highness, what I'm about to tell you is something that only my father and the royal family knows, if I tell you this, will you promise to keep it to yourself?"
"If it piques my interest, then I will take this secret of yours with me to my grave."
"I'm relieved to hear that. You see, the truth is. I have an eye that lets me see everything about a person. This was personally granted to me by the God of Justice's only subordinate. It lets me see anything I want to know about a person who has a lower level of mana capacity and control than me."
"A skill that lets you gather intel about a person instantly? quite the overpowered eye you have there. So? did you take a look at my past?" I asked her calmly as if we're just having a casual talk.
"Since you are a member of the royal family, I don't want to use it on you, even if I'm curious. But earlier, when those two adventurers from earlier finished the fight, I took a look at them and I discovered that they only used around 4% to defeat our two generals. Even an immortal blade will have to use around 60% of their power in order to defeat one. And yet, they were able to do so without using any kind of magic! You're the only one I'm telling this to, after all, they are your companions."
"Aren't these kind of cases where someone hides their real abilities normal? I don't think this is just what you came here to talk about. Tell we what it is."
"T-Those two... their origins are unknown. Your highness, we don't know where they came from. That's why it's better if we monitor them closely!"
"Don't worry, those two are the most trustable people that I know."
"I-I understand, but at least, let me watch them closely for a month, after all, the kingdom's safety is at stake here."
"Do as you like, just don't bother those two too much."
"Yes!... ummm... are those books about magic that you're reading?"
"This? yeah, what about it?"
"I-If you would like to, I could teach you some of what I know..."
"Really? thank you, I'll take you up on your offer then, take a seat opposite of me." I told her as I pointed at the chair in front of me.
"Yes, excuse me... Now then, which one does your highness would like to know about?"

The Fracture
It was a normal day for the inhabitants of ERT-5901, more commonly known by the populace as Earth. A beautiful planet with lush resources and fertile land, well at one point anyways. Children were born, the elderly died, and Man was as corrupt as ever. But hey, what can you do about that? Can’t change human nature… But that's not the point. Basically the planet was peaceful, for the most part. Certainly they were better off than the species on FTL-3470… We don’t talk about them. Better to leave that book unopened. Anyways, that was all until January 5th of the year 2025. When the sky broke. Fractured. Stunning ocean blue cracks were spotted in the sky all over the planet. A spiders web of cracks and crevices littered the blue skies, tearing all that global peace to shreds. All while Wyatt Walker, a sad example of a human being, was black out drunk in a bar somewhere in LA. This is a post-apocalyptic, portal isekai, high fantasy kind of story set on our very own green Earth! The world has fractured, broken. The inhabitants of ERT-5901 are in for quite the quick and dramatic change in their way of life. Murder, theft, and death have become the norm. Survival of the fittest to the extreme. If you can’t keep up, then good luck playing the game. Hello, Kaiser here! I am the author of this lovely story and I would just like to put a few disclaimers down here. First, English is, in fact, my first language. This by no means I will have perfect grammar and there are bound to be spelling mistakes (please forgive me) and places where I accidentally put plot holes. If you find anything, I would appreciate it if you could let me know so I can fix / change it. I also welcome any constructive criticism or opinions you might have about the story (doesn’t always mean I will change something). Second, I am by no means a professional writer here. Just a confused student who wanted to write something. So, uh, here's my story? Third, if you can’t handle any of the following I recommend you find a different story as I will by no means change any of these topics. [Gore, Profanity, Twisted themes, Dark scenes, and Death] If you’re a sensitive person or a queasy person I would highly recommend a different story. Fourth, I would like to write with freedom so I will by no means be lenient with my writing. I intend to write without mercy. Characters will die, bad things will happen, blood will be spilled, and humans will continue to be humans. I would like to write things as realistically as possible while still having that dash of fantasy. Not everything will be all dark and gloom, there will be happy and funny moments mixed! (Hopefully, not a lot of edge) Enjoy! ッ
