《A king's reincarnation》Chapter 8: My objective
Advertisement
In a normal house situated in a beautiful village...
"Dear, did you see our son earlier? he really has grown so much. I can't believe that he was able to pull off that battle." Said the woman as she shakes the arms of her husband
"I know, I wonder where he is now. The Gods took him away right after the match. I hope he is alright."
"The Gods said that he's going to be sent to another world. I just hope that he can live a life without hardships there."
"Dear, a life without hardships doesn't exist. We can only hope that whatever he experiences there, he will be able to get through it."
"Yeah..."
Knock knock knock*
Suddenly, a knock could be heard from the door. The man opened it and found a person in a robe that a priest usually wears. The man started by introducing himself.
"Greetings, Mr. and Ms. White. My name is Horis, God of the skies. A friend of the God of wisdom, Gabriel. I have come here to deliver something from a certain person."
"G-G-God of the skies!? ahhh p-please come in and have some coffee, it's not much but I hope it's to your liking." When the couple found out the identity of their visitor, they became agitated and hurriedly welcomed him.
"Pardon the intrusion...mmm, this coffee is pretty good. Anyways I would like to give you this." Horis said as he takes out an envelope.
The couple receives the envelope, looks at Horis and asks.
"Ummm, God of the sky-sama, may we know who sent this envelope?"
"Just read the contents and you will find out who. Anyways, I still have some errands to run so I'll be on my way." Said Horis as he finishes the cup of coffee, stands up, and leaves.
The couple stared at the retreating figure of Horis and opens the envelope.
They saw a letter inside, opens it and reads the contents.
[Don't blame yourselves too much, I'm doing fine now, take care, Mom and Dad.]
When the couple saw the letter, tears of joy gushed out from their eyes.
"T-This kid is really..."
"sobs* I-I'm so proud to h-have him as my son"
As they cried, they noticed a something else inside the envelope, the woman took it out, and was surprised.
"Isn't that..." the man asks.
"Yeah, it's the charm that we gifted him. He promised to give it to us once he grows old and becomes a successful person."
As they looked at the necklace containing their family picture, a smile formed on their face.
...
"Gabriel-san" I called out to the person walking in front of me.
"What is it?"
"You mentioned earlier that a seal within me was broken right?"
"Yes, that seal is the one preventing you from using Quasil's full potential, what of it?" He asks me.
"Now that you say it, it feels like after that seal broke, a felt another similar one. Most likely a second seal."

Gabriel and the other two were surprised by my words, they immediately stopped in their tracks and turned around to face me.
Gabriel's eyes changed into a golden color as he peered into my soul. It feels strange, like someone is designating me as their prey.
"There really is one, what's more is that it's stronger than the first."
"𝐽𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑠 𝐼 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡"
"You know what it's for?" I asked, I was rather curious about this second seal, to be previse, about what it prevents me from having.
"I don't know, but with the three supreme gods here, we can remove it and see what it holds. Want to try it?" Gabriel asked me.
"No, leave it as it is, I wouldn't want getting another mysterious power right after the first one. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to find my match anymore."I replied.
"You really are full of mysteries huh, first is the matter about you being able to control the first form of power, the quasil, and now, a second seal inside you. Just how many mysteries does that existence of yours hide?" Said Alvion as taps my shoulder.
"Well, I believe I'll find out about myself sooner or later. I'm gonna leave the future matters to the future me, I'm just gonna focus on the present."
"I like that mindset of yours" said Yumi.
"Are you sure that it's only Lucas-dono's mindset that you like?" Asked Alvion in a teasing matter.
BANG!*
A loud bang could be heard as Alvion was thrown off by a punch and smashed onto a wall.
One could see yumi's fist smoking, indicating the strength of the punch. Her face also flushed red due to embarrassment. It's really amusing, seeing her like this. Who knew that the cold and serious woman that tried to sabotage earlier has this side to her?
"Y-You bastard, if you still value your life then you better stop getting on my nerves."
"Aren't you gonna stop them?" I asked Gabriel who was watching the two.
"Leave them be, they fight all the time since they're cousins."
"Eh? they're related to each other?"
"Yes, didn't they tell you earlier?" He asks me.
"No, they didn't mention anything about them being cousins."
I never really thought that these two were relatives. I thought they were just friends at most.
As I was thinking about that, Alvion fixed himself immediately and followed us as if nothing happened. The broken part of the wall which received Alvion earlier miraculously fixed itself in just a matter of seconds. It was an incredible sight.
"By the way Gabriel-san, if I'm not being too nosy. What was your older sibling like?" I asked him.
Of course if he doesn't want to tell me then I won't push for answers anymore as I'm not in the position to do so.
"What was she like huh?.... A good sister, although we weren't spending much time together, I know that she still cares for me. She's one of the most powerful Gods that exist, only second to the God of creation. She has pretty yellow hair and emerald eyes, a beauty." As Gabriel finished his description, he noticed me staring at him intensely.

"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm imagining you in a female's clothes with a long hair so that I can visualize what your sibling looked like."
"..."
Gabriel was left speechless by my response and his right eyelid twitched.
"By the way, she also had romantic feelings for the God of creation." Gabriel added.
"Eh?"
"Hard to believe right?" He said to me with a light chuckle as if he expected that dumbfounded reaction of mine.
"Okay, we're here!" Yumi said to us, cutting off our conversation.
It was a huge garden filled with different kinds of flowers and at the center of it, lies a small altar with a fairly huge sigil engraved on it. Written at the edges of the altars are characters that I haven't seen in my entire life. It must be the language of the Gods.
Alongside Gabriel, Yumi, and Alvion. There were also around 20 people present at the scene. "𝐷𝑖𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑒𝑒 𝑚𝑒 𝑜𝑓𝑓?" I thought to myself.
After a few seconds walk, we finally arrived beside the small circle altar. Gabriel motioned me to step into it, which I followed.
"Hey look, that's the person who defeated Alvion in one strike."
"Woah, he's one handsome lad. He is the 142th otherworlder right?"
"Yeah, with that insane power of his, he's gonna live an easy life at greis."
"Of course. I mean, his body must be as strong or even stronger than Greis' Dragon god. That dragon is a true monster, his physical capabilities are superior than Alvion-sama's. But since Alvion-sama is also well-versed in both magic and physical battles. He's far stronger in terms of overall combat ability. To top it off, Alvion-sama also has hundreds of thousands of experience in the battlefield."
"But still, for this human to defeat Alvion-sama in a battle without magic. It just shows how much of a monster this person is."
"King of humanity huh, he really fits that title eh?"
As always, wherever I go, these kind of mutterings follows me.
"Lucas-dono, the three of us shall now apply the seal that we agreed upon. Please stand in the altar and close your eyes." Gabriel said to me.
I followed his instructions and closed my eyes. I could feel them surrounding me. My Ki or what they call Quasil can also replicate a bat's ultrasonic waves by sending them out and then receiving them back the moment they hit obstacles.
It may be a replica but it's much more effective than the bat's, which makes me fight in the dark without restricting my abilities, actually, it even makes me fight much more efficiently as my other senses skyrockets the moment I close my eyes.
At that moment, Gabriel, Alvion, and Yumi stretched out their hands as they began to chant something.
[INVOKE, LORD OF RESTRAINTS, BIND THE ENERGIES OF THIS PERSON, BACK TO HIS FORMER STRENGTH]
After the chant, I could feel something like chains wrapping around a certain area in my body. No, to be precise, I could feel it in my spirit. The chains completely locked away a certain source within me.
However, I didn't feel anything change in my body. Just like the moment when the original seal broke, I didn't feel anything. I tried gathering Quasil in my hands and I could feel that it really became less powerful.
"And with that, the seal is now placed. Lucas-dono, keep your emotions in check. What we just sealed is the Highest form of power, if you lose control of yourself, the seal will break and your powers will return to you, which you wouldn't want to happen. Well, with your level of self control, I think the chances of that happening is lower than Alvion's chance of getting a wife."
"Oii" said Alvion in an annoyed tone of voice.
The Gods around us laughed at the sudden banter.
"Anyways, be careful not to break the seal, it would be hard for us to conjure another one."
"I understand." I replied to Gabriel.
"Now then, the time that the four of us spent together might be short, but we had fun." said Alvion as we shaked hands.
"Now then, Yumi? aren't you gonna say goodbye to your first cru- bfuaahh!!"
Before alvion could finish his sentence, he was smacked away and flew to a pillar by Yumi with a smile on her face. That smile was a little scary to be honest, I thought to myself.
"Take care." She said to me with a light but pretty smile while blushing a little.
"Yeah, you too." I offered her my hand in an attempt to shake hands but...
"E-Eh? I-I-I'm sorry, I-I want to go with you to Greis b-but, I'm a G-Goddess and I have my own duties s-so umm..." She said to me agitatedly while squirming with a reddened face.
"Y-Yumi? He just wants to shake hands with you, not t-t-take you away with him." Gabriel clarified while holding back his laughter.
...
Amidst the silence, Yumi's reddened face turned redder she stammered at her words.
"I-I-I-I'm so s-s-sorry!!" She shouted as she ran off due to embarrassment.
"𝑁𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑚𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡" I thought to myself as I chuckled.
"Well then, that was quite the show, Shall we teleport you now?"
"Yes" I replied.
[RELOCATION MAGIC, GREIS]
As he chanted the words, blue light from the altar shone brightly. And before I disappeared, Gabriel told me this.
"Lucas, you only have one objective there in Greis."
"?"
"Fulfill what you couldn't fulfill on earth, do what you weren't able to, and live your life without regrets."
"Yeah"
And with that, I disappeared from the Realm of the Gods.
