《A king's reincarnation》Chapter 7: The failed heir

"My older sister."
"You have a sister?" I asked him.
And here I thought that Gods were beings that didn't have family. Looks like it was rather rude of me to think so.
"Yeah, but sadly she doesn't exist anymore."
Gabriel replied to me in a somewhat sad tone of voice. I shouldn't delve on this topic anymore. Shall we change the topic then?
"Then wh-"
But just when I was about to steer away from the gloomy topic, Gabriel cut me off.
"My sister is one of the two beings that can use Quasil. So to say, she's second only to the God of creation in terms of power and abilities."
"Don't think about it too much, Lucas-dono. I already accepted my sister's death. Feel free to ask questions." He said to me. If that's the case then I won't hold back.
"When I was on earth, I felt that my abilities are already at the peak. I can defeat every enemy using only 30% of my strength if I wanted to. Even my subordinate which is only second to me in terms of abilities can only draw out 25% of my abilities even if he goes all out."
"I have read about these in the information earlier, so what's the thing that concerns you?"
"Alvion-san, how much stronger are you compared to this subordinate of mine?" I asked the God of war who was sitting beside me as I pointed out a certain person on the paper.
"hmmm, he's pretty strong for a human of earth but... even if you enhance his abilities by 1000%, he still won't be able to land a finger on a single strand of my hair." He said to me while looking at my subordinates information.
"Back on earth, I can only defeat him if I use 25 percent or more of my power, any lower than that will just be futile effort. But when I battled with Alvion-san earlier who is thousands of times stronger than him, I managed to defeat him in one strike by only using around 70 percent of my abilities. How is this possible? I should've been the one who lost." I asked Gabriel in confusion. This question has been bugging my mind for a while now.
Gabriel thought about my question and looked outside the windows. It was a beautiful scenery, all those floating lands on the clouds really makes it look ethereal and divine.
He then redirected his gaze towards a certain paper on the table. He picked it up and gave it to to me.
"Earth restrains the Quasil to prevent it from showing its true powers, because it's a weak world, if it's exposed to this power, it might break." He said to me.
"The moment you were summoned to the realm of the gods, your seal weakened immensely, and the moment when I casted flying magic on you, the mana broke the seal completely, allowing your body to tap into the powers of the multiverse."
"Multiverse? then does that mean..."
"Yeah. Right now, you have the same kind of body as the God of creation and my sister. In other words, you are the third existence capable of handling the first form of power, the Quasil."
Now that's something I didn't expect...What in the f****** hell is this!? I want an opponent that I can fight without holding back! Now that I became much more stronger than before, I won't be able to find an opponent that I can fight anymore!
No wait...there is one!
I recovered from my shock and a kind and beautiful smile appeared on my face.
"Gabriel-san. Can I meet the God of creation?" I asked him with a kind smile that would make it hard for anyone to refuse.
Perhaps sensing my intentions, Gabriel immediately shook and hurriedly convinced me.
"I-I know that you want an opponent that you can fight without holding back, b-but... the G-God of creation is too much, don't you think so?"
When the two people beside me heard our conversation, they immediately joined in and convinced me to think about it carefully.
"H-Hey, Lucas-dono, don't be too rash. If the God of creation kills you, even my powers won't be able to bring you back!"
"T-That's right, you still have me to fight you know? If I use magic, we can fight on equal grounds! So think about this carefully!"
In the end, they managed to convince me and I sat back down. I can still see the fear in their eyes. Not because of me, but because of what the God of creation might do.
"T-Then lets do it this way, the three of us will place a seal on you. This will seal your power to the point where you can only use your abilities from when you were still on earth, that way, you can still find a suitable opponent in Greis, How's that?" Gabriel said to me.
"If you can do that, you should've said so from the start."
"Then shall we proceed to the altar?"
"Altar?" I asked.
"That's what we're going to use to transport you to greis. Now we will fill you up with information you will need.
"Oh yes...there's still that matter." I said, due to the events earlier, I have completely forgotten all about it.
"Don't tell me...you forgot about the main reason why you are here?" asked gabriel while looking at me like an idiot.
"I-I can't help it. There's too many things that happened earlier that surprised me." I replied while getting embarrassed a little.
"𝐼 𝑑𝑖𝑑𝑛'𝑡 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑒 𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠, 𝐼'𝑚 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚."
As these thoughts appeared on ny mind, I looked at the Goddess with peach colored hair beside me and gave her a smile filled with kindness and thankfulness.
"W-What is it?"
Yumi, who saw my stare looked back at me while blushing.
Now that I got to take a good look at her face, she really looks beautiful, much more beautiful than those celebrities back at Earth. Her peach colored hair paired with her black eyes, Her sexy body that puts models to shame, although her chest is a little bit... flat?

Gabriel and Alvion who saw this scene showed a sly and devious grin, looking as if they already know what is happening.
"Oya? Goddess of life and death, don't tell me you've fall-"
"W-W-W-What are you saying!?"
Gabriel who was about to finish his words was quickly cut off by a squirming Yumi-san. When they saw this, Alvion's and Gabriel's grins grew wider.
"Well, if I were a woman, and a man as handsome and powerful as Lucas-dono shows me a smile like that, I would've also fallen in love. Right? Gabriel-san?"
"Yes yes, Alvion is right, anyone would've fallen if Lucas-dono smiled at them like that."
The two continued to tease the Goddess of life and death whose face is already red from blushing. It feels like she's gonna pass out at any moment.
"W-W-What are you two saying!? I-It's not like what you think! Moreover, aren't we gonna tell Lucas-dono everything he has to know before we send him to greis?"
Feeling like Yumi is about to pass out, the two finally stopped their teasing. But for some reason, Alvion moved to the seat beside Gabriel and looked at us with a smile showing satisfaction.
The briefing began shortly after that.
"Lucas-dono, as we said earlier, we are going to place a seal on your Quasil temporarily. Of course, it won't be sealed completely. You can still fully use it when you're in the realm of the gods. However, you can only use 1% of it while in Greis." Gabriel reminded me.
"Now then, once we transport you, you will arrive at the Kingdom of Hillian. A carriage from the Elune Kingdom will be waiting for you there."
"Carriage? Elune kingdom? Why?" I asked.
"The Royal family of Elune, lost a son 16 years ago due to a huge war. Now, they received an information that says that their child is still alive and has been found. You will be that child."
"What happened to the original one?"
"That kid already died 16 years ago, don't expect a new born royalty to survive a day in the hands of the enemy." Replied yumi.
"How will they believe that I'm the long lost son? No matter how you think of it, a supposedly dead person coming back alive from the hands of the enemy kingdom will be utterly suspicious." I told them.
If your supposedly dead son comes back alive, even you wouldn't be able to help but feel suspicious, especially if you lost him to the enemy. He might even be a spy.
"You don't need to worry about that. The moment they see you, they will already believe it."
"Why?"
"Your hair and eye colors."
"What's my hair and eye color got to do with this?" I asked.
"Every 200 years, the royal family of Elune will give birth to a child with silver white hair and red eyes. They call this child, 'The failed heir'."
"Failed heir?"
"Basically, this child is an incompetent existence. I don't know the details, but they say that the child has no aptitude for being a ruler."
"Then I will take over the role of the Failed heir?" I asked them.
"Yes, well with your abilities, you can easily prove them wrong." Replied gabriel.
"Also, you will have 5 siblings. The eldest brother who is the heir to the throne and also the oldest among the siblings, the eldest sister who is a royal knight commander, a little sister who is 2 years younger than you, and two 6 years old twins."
"Aren't the parents a little too...energetic?" I asked with a wry smile on my face.
When Gabriel and the others heard this they laughed out loud.
"HAHAHAHA, what do you mean? 6 children is normal!"
"There is even a family with 11 sons and 12 daughters!"
I really want to punch these 3 idiots right at their face. I came from a world where 2 children is the norm! for f***'s sake!
"Now then, do you still have any questions?" Yumi asked me.
"Actually there are two."
"What is it?"
"How many continents and countries does Greis have?"
"There are currently 6 continents, and each continent has 12 countries, and each country is ruled by a kingdom. The country elune is ruled by your family and is a part of the continent of Rumie."
"So it's smaller than earth huh."
"No, it's 3 times bigger than earth. A single country of Greis is equivalent to 4 countries of earth, that's why it's bigger."
"Now then, what's your second question?"
"Are my parents doing okay?"
"They're a royal family, so of course they're living in best conditions!" Replied Alvion.
However I didn't move my gaze as if I'm still waiting for the answer that I want. I continued to stare at Gabriel with a serious expression.
Seeming as if he already got what I meant, he smiled and answered me truthfully.
"They're doing fine. Although, I heard they're still blaming themselves a bit for dying early and not being able to take care of you."
"Is that so? then can you send a message from me to them for me?"
"I can do that much, what is it?"
I took out a necklace from my pocket and gave it to Gabriel who was wondering what it is.
"Please give it to them for me, and tell them that I said 'Don't blame yourselves too much, I'm doing fine now, take care, Mom and Dad'."
"Sure. Now then, shall we go ahead?"
"Yes."
With that, our conversation ended and we walked out of Gabriel's room and onto the said Altar to proceed with the transferring ritual.

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**
