《A king's reincarnation》Chapter 6: Quasil

"A-And the winnder of this b-battle is...K-King of humanity, Lucas!"
The announcer, Lena, announced the battle result in a flabbergasted tone of voice. The Humans shouted from delight, while the gods hung down their head with a gloomy atmosphere.
"W-What just happened?"
"O-Oi, are my e-eyes playing tricks on me?"
"This i I-Impossible. G-God Alvion, was d-defeated!?"
The spectators in the east side were shocked down to their cores. What they expected was a one-sided victory from the God of war, but I, the King of humanity broke those expectations and gave them the shock of their life.
Who would've expected that the God of War that they loved so much to get knocked out by one punch from a human. It's as if their pride in battle has been shattered.
"W-We can't do anything about it, the truth is right in front of us."
"Yeah, if the human cheated, the orb would've gone off. It's our defeat this time."
"But still, did you see that speed? even my eyes failed to catch up to it."
"Yeah, it's like a teleportation, was he traveling at the speed of light?"
"I think so too, it's just too fast to be true."
"And also the power of that attack, it's undoubtedly stronger than the God of war's attacks."
"J-Just what kind of monster is he, to be able to defeat God alvion in one strike."
Some of the gods accepted their loss without making any fuss, while some still can't accept the truth.
The Goddess of life and death who was sitting quietly stood up and walked to the place where the bettings took place.
"Money." She said as she held out her palm asking for her reward.
"ughhh..." the gods who betted on Alvion looked like they were about to cry as they handed over the money to Yumi.
"Now, shall we patch up our fallen comrade."
"WOOOOOOO!!"
"His majesty won!! HAHAHA!"
"Of course! that's our king who you're talking about, of course he wouldn't let us down!"
"Hahahaha! I didn't expect this at all. Our king really is the greatest!"
Once again the humans paid their respects to me sincerely.
"Congratulations on your victory your highness, Long live the King of humanity, Long live King Lucas!"
Their voices resounded throughout the entire arena. The Gods were embarrassed to hear these cheers and shouts as this also meant their defeat. Almost no one can hold their heads high.

"D-Dear, our son won! hahaha I knew it! there's no way our son would be defeated!"
"Look at you, you were the one who's most worried about him earlier. Now look at you, acting all smug."
"W-well that's...hahaha"
"Well it doesn't matter, as long as he won. But still, this is really a shocking result. If I get the chance to talk to him again, I would like to ask how he did it."
Gabriel who I saw at the seats was holding his popcorns and was staring at me with wide eyes and his jaw was dropped onto the ground.
"𝐻𝑒ℎ, 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐺𝑜𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑤𝑖𝑠𝑑𝑜𝑚 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑐𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑠...𝐵𝑢𝑡, ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝐼 𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑓𝑒𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑖𝑚 𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑦? 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑓 ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑝𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑘𝑖, ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑑𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑔𝑜𝑑'𝑠. I started to wonder how was I able to defeat the God of war easily. "It shouldn't be possible, unless..."
As I was talking to myself, I saw a figure appeared beside the still pinned God of war, the goddess of life and death.
Yumi removed Alvion from the wall and laid him on the ground and started to use a healing spell of some sorts.
I walked towards the two to watch it as these kinds of things are still new to me. Alvion's deformed face was instantly fixed as the light from Yumi's hands shone upon him. Seeing this scene makes me feel something strange... It feels..divine.
"Ughhh, how long was I out for?" Asked alvion as he scratches his head.
"12 minutes, how is your head?" I replied to him as I asked about his condition.
Feels new, but bitter..." He replied in an aggrieved manner.
"I should've taken your advice, I didn't expect a human like you to have abilities of this level. Wait, are you even a human?" He asks me.
"I sure am not a god like you." I replied as I stretched out my hands to help him get back up.
"If I really took you seriously, I might have... No, even if I was on full alert, I wouldn't have stood a chance, that speed and power far exceeds mine. You really are one hell of a monster."

He accepted it and stood up. I let go of his hand when he finally stabilized and Yumi who was beside us this whole time spoke.
"Don't worry Alvion-san, I won millions from the bet earlier, I'll treat you to a drink later."
"I really feel like I could use a drink right now...wait you placed your bets on him!?" He asked Yumi.
"Yes, I just knew the result of this match ever since the banquet."
"Eh? How?"
"Lucas-dono? Follow me, I have something to tell you. You too Alvion-san, this has got something to do about why Lucas-dono was able to KNOCK YOU OUT WITH ONE PUNCH." She said to both of us while emphasizing the latter part.
"Please don't rub salt on my wounds, it makes me wanna die you know?" replied Alvion in an embarrassed tone.
"Hahahaha" the three of us laughed as we walked towards the exit.
...
After walking for more than 10 minutes, we finally arrived in front of a door that leads to a room.
"We're here, come in." Said yumi as she pushed open the door.
"Gabriel-dono's home? why are we here?" asked Alvion in confusion.
"You'll know once we get inside."
The moment I walked in, I saw a pretty normal room of a royalty, a brown sofa, paintings hung on the white walls, a coffee table, a wooden desk with gold edges.
Behind that desk sat a man in white. Gabriel. He looked serious as he looked at the papers he is holding.
Upon noticing our arrival he told us to sit down.
"Please sit anywhere you like."
The three of us sat down at the sofa and Gabriel also sat down in the seat in front of us.
"Now let's get to the point. Lucas, you said that you're using an internal energy known as Ki to make yourself more powerful, right?" He asks me in a serious tone.
"Yes, why?"I replied.
"I researched about the martial artists from your world, it took some time since there is no god who is overseeing Earth. And here's what I found."
He handed over a paper to me and I looked at the contents. I was surprised to see the contents as I didn't expect this at all.
"Martial artists from your world uses a form of energy called 'Inner force' not 'Ki'. For sure, you haven't heard of any fighters from your world uttering the term 'Ki' when describing their powers, right?"
"Now that you say it, yes. But I think it's just a mistake on their part and 'Ki' is the original term" I replied, this conversation seems to lead to something interesting.
"No, you're wrong."
"What?"
"They are indeed using inner force. But the Ki that you're using is entirely different, you just thought that they were the same because they indeed, felt the same."
"what do you mean?"
"While inner force only uses the energy generated in your body, this thing that you call Ki doesn't only limit its source from your body, it also draws powers from...The universe."
"W-What!?" I replied, this is just too shocking for me. To think that the power that I was using comes from the entire universe. This is something that I didn't really expect.
"I know that you're the God of wisdom, but how were you able to know all this?" I asked.
"Hold out your palm and concentrate your Ki onto it."
I did as I was told and started concentrating large amounts of Ki to my right palm.
"*whistles* if that were to slap my face, my head would've flew away." Said Alvion from the side as he stared at my palm.
"You can sense it?" I asked.
"If it's that dense, even an average human would've sensed it." He replied.
Gabriel touched my palm and a light smile appeared on his face.
"Yes, this is it. The power that I haven't felt for more than a millennia."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Suddenly, yumi who was sitting beside me spoke up.
"Quasil, the most superior form of power. There are three forms of power, the 3rd and weakest, which is, the inner force, the 2nd and most common which is Mana, and the 1st and strongest which is the Quasil. It's so strong that let alone a human, even a God won't be able to control it and eventually, it will annihilate their body and soul. In the entire multiverse, only two existence are capable of using it. First is the God of creation, our master. Second is..."
"My older sister." Gabriel added.

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!

Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
