《World of Elestia: Seasons of War》(Spring) Chapter 13: Boosting

Yesterday both Oliver and Clara had to digest a lot of information. Oliver realised for the first time that the world of a Chosen was much more complicated than he first thought. He used to think that Chosen barely did anything and let the Elestia do everything but clearly that's false. A Chosen in battle is in just as much in danger as the Elestia themselves and they need to work together if they want to remain victorious.
For Clara however her mind was occupied with another subject. Celeste, the original world of the Elestia. What was it like? It was said that when you put your mind inside a gem containing an Elestia you could see the place where they grew up. But since Marie used to be human, her gem created a replication of her home in Ringabell City before the Invasion instead. The city in it's prime had bought a few tears to the girl eyes as she remembered how carefree her life used to be in the Old World. Her biggest worry in those days was how other girls would judge her for the clothes she wore, it seemed like such a petty thing to worry about now.
Maybe she could ask Oliver what he had seen. Unlike her his Elestia had always been as such. She felt something grabbing her followed by a loud snore in her ear. She turned around and blushed when she saw that Oliver had snuck up on her in his sleep and was now holding onto her.
''Mmph...Fluffy pillow.'' He said with a smile tugging at his lips before he resumed his snoring. The comment had made her blush even more. Since the secret had been out for a while Clara figured she could sleep in her hybrid form. She used to sleep with her disguise before but it had been a horrible experience. The strain it had on her made her feel like she hadn't slept at all most days.
But during the day she still donned her human form. She was okay with Xofamai and Oliver seeing her like this. But she was still not comfortable enough to walk around like this inside the Ding Dong Community.
On the other side of the tent, she heard someone clearing his throat before a familiar emotionless voice spoke up. ''Are you kids up yet? If not wake up right now, it's time for our training session.''
Clara groaned before she lift herself up which also disturbed Oliver from his sleep. ''Huh? What's happening?'' Oliver asked in a tired voice.
''Xofamai is there to train us you need to wake up.'' Clara said simply. Oliver groaned and tried to go back to sleep. Clara rolled her eyes and used her power to levitate him in the air.
''Ahh! Okay! Okay! I'm getting up just put me down!'' He said while flailing his arms and legs wildly in the air.
''With pleasure.'' She said before cutting off her power entirely. Which resulted in the boy landing back on the ground with a thud.
''Ow! You could have putted me down gently.'' Oliver complained.
Clara rolled her eyes and smirked at him. ''Stop acting like a baby and come on, Xofamai is waiting for us.'' Oliver scoffed before he went to grab his backpack and the two Draconid Gems containing Sandy and Bolt. Oliver remembered what Professor Dogwood had said yesterday. That time would slow down if he was inside the gem. He was way too tired to go train right now, so with a smirk his mind slipped inside the brown Draconid Gem...

Oliver would never get use to the strange forest surrounding him. He always knew that Elestia were aliens creatures but seeing it from himself was another thing entirely. His thought was interupted by a long grunt coming from further away and he saw Sandy come rushing at him her eyes wide with excitement as she saw him.
Oliver laughed as she tackled him on the ground and began to rub her face on his cheek. He petted her for a few minutes before lifitng himself from the ground. ''I'm happy to see you too Sandy. I hope it's not too boring being in there.''
''No everything is fine. We Elestia were made to live in the wild like this and it is a lot more safer than in the real world. Here I don't run the risk to be attacked by predators. The only problem is that the grass in this world is not really nourishing so you better not forget to feed me!'' She stomped on the ground with her hoof to emphasis her words.
Oliver chuckled and shook his head. ''Of course I wouldn't forget that. Beside food for Elestia is free for every members of the Resistance. So I would be dumb not to take some for you and Bolt.''
''How is Bolt by the way? Have you visit him in his gem lately?'' Sandy asked curiously.
Oliver sighed and looked away with a frown on his face. ''He still doesn't talk to me. What am I doing wrong with him? You talked to me the first time we met in this place but he still hasn't said a word.''
Sandy nudge his arm with her nose in a reassuring manner. ''There's nothing wrong with you, in fact I am the one that's weird. Elestia don't tend to talk so easily to humans even if it's their master. Talking to a human is like accepting him or her as part of our family. I have accepted you as a fellow brother but it might take time for Bolt to do the same.''
Oliver seemed deep in thought at that revelation. ''So why did you accept me as a member of your family so quickly? We barely knew each other the first time you talked to me.''
The Fawna looked down with a thoughtful frown on her face. ''I cannot explain it. But the instant I saw you I felt a overwhelming sense of familiarity as if I was tied to you by fate. That's why I threw myself in front of that huge monster to save you.'' She said to the boy.
''...I see, I don't know if I really believe in fate, but I'm glad I met you Sandy. If I didn't met you and Clara I would have probably stayed as the coward as I was. I would have lived an empty life devoid of meaning until history completely forgot my existence. But now I aim to change this world. I want to get rid of the Dragons are you willing to follow me until the end?''
Sandy looked at him with concern in her eyes. ''You're really planning to slay the Dragons? You know that some Elestia might have a issue with that. On our home planet they were considered gods you know.''
Oliver look at her with an almost betrayed look. ''Are you saying you're still loyal to the Dragons?''
At that Sandy shook her head vigorously. ''No, of course not. I'm just worried about you. The Dragons are powerful beings, way more powerful than me or you. If you face them... You will probably not come out of the battle alive.''

Oliver slammed his fist on one of the spongy tree the lack of an impact sound coming from the tree did nothing to calm his anger. ''I don't care about my safety! Someone need to stand up to them! They killed my father, they killed billions of people and destroyed families all over the world! I can't forgive them, we need to kill them once and for all! Humanity have stopped fighting them a long time ago but I can't accept that! Not anymore! If I don't fight them I will hate myself and my cowardice for the rest of my life!''
''Calm yourself Oliver, if you rush into this you will surely die... But fine I will help you fight the Dragons but you should be warned if you plan to add more Elestia to our team. Not every Elestia will be so willing to go against their old masters.'' She explained with a concerned look.
''So most Elestia are completely loyal to the eight Dragons?'' Oliver said with trepidation in his voice.
The Fawna shook her head. ''Not entirely, we Elestia are not loyal to all the Dragons in fact a lot of Elestia hate other Dragons. Wild Elestia as you call them are only loyal to the Dragon that gave them their power. So let's say you catch an Elestia with a Water Nature. You won't have a problem making it fight the Fire Dragon but you might have trouble making it fight Amphirite.''
Oliver seemed a bit relieved at the news. ''Okay that's not perfect but that's way better than the alternative. So as long as I don't make them fight the Dragons of their Nature I should be alright.'' He said but then he sighed. ''I suppose I have been in here long enough, I will see you soon Sandy alright? It seem like Xofamai want to train us to use our Elestia today.''
The deer-like Elestia nodded with a smile on her face. ''I will look foward to that. Maybe you should try to talk to Bolt too before the fight begin.'' Oliver reluctantly nodded before the world around him faded to white.

The world inside the Draconid Gem of Bolt was vastly different. He was standing in what he assumed was the Celeste version of a tropical jungle. Except that the jungle looked like it was made by a mad scientist. The trees were extremely jagged so much so that it looked like he would cut his hand upon them if he so much as tried to touch them. As if that wasn't strange enough the trees had yellow stripes of lights growing out of them and the branches were made out of a metal-like substance.
The world he lived was in a constant state of thunderstorm. The trees acted as a lightning rods and everytime a bolt of lightning hit them the strip of light that grew inside of them would glow more brightly. From what Oliver had gathered these strange trees fed off from electricity instead of sunlight.
The world of Celeste was really weird. He wondered what other strange things he would see if they could visit the real life version of it. Bolt had made himself a comfortable little hole inside of one of the jagged trees the lightning strikes didn't seem to bother him in fact the last time he saw him being struck by lighting the squirrel-like Elestia had acted like he had drank three cups of coffee.
''Bolt! Are you there?!'' Oliver called loudly so that his voice wouldn't be drowned out by the raging storm. The Shockrirrel head popped out of the tree and he looked at Oliver with a curious expression.
''Hello Bolt! I just wanted to tell you that we're all going to train together today.'' Oliver waited with expectancy for the Elestia to responded but when seconds turned into a minute and there was no response Oliver sighed in defeat. ''Fine I just wanted you to know, so see you a bit later Bolt.''
This time he didn't wait for a response because he knew he wouldn't get it. The world around him once again faded to white...

Oliver's vision cleared and he was back into the tent with Clara. He smiled at her and crawled toward the exit. Clara looked at him confused.
''You look a lot more energetic than a few second ago.'' Then her eyes widened and narrowed. ''Don't tell me you used the Draconid Gem just so you could chill for a few minutes without anyone noticing!''
Oliver looked at her with his best innocent expression. ''I have no idea what you're talking about.'' he said before unziping the exit and stepping outside. Xofamai was standing on the other side silently taking a puff of his cigarette. When he saw the two of them emerge from their tent he put it down and squished it with his shoe.
''About time the two of you showed up. Let's go.'' The two teens followed the man but they quickly noticed they were taking a new route.
''Where are we going? The gymnasium is not in this direction.'' Clara said with a confused look.
''Fighting with Elestia in the gymnasium is against the rules. Do you know how much time it took to build it? We don't want to destroy it everytime we train with Elestia.'' He responded to them as if it was obvious.
''Okay then where are we going?'' Clara asked with a cocked head.
Xofamai turned toward the girl and then he looked toward her pouch where Marie wa pocking out her head looking around the metro. ''The old Mayor of Ringabell City was a really paranoid man so he build multiple bunkers throughout the city in case a war ever broke out against Orchestralia. These shelters were made to protect people against nuclear bombs. But I guess no one could have predicted they would be used for an alien invasion.''
''How many shelters did he built?'' Oliver asked curiously.
''Three, one of them he built just outside the city, I believe Clara and Marie are familiar with it.'' Clara looked away as she remembered memories she would rather forget. ''Another was made in the Ringabell City's Stadium but it has been frozen beyond recognition by Boreas and no one inside survived. And the last one is here in this metro.''
Oliver looked up at Xofamai with a bemused expression once he was done with his explication. ''Why did the Mayor built three of them if he only used one of them?''
Xofamai shook his head. ''Actually all three of them were used by different groups of people. The one outside town was for VIP like politicians and scientists. The one in the stadium were for high ranking members of the military. And this one here was made for rich people who could afford to pay for the fee of entrance. Many of the people who live in the Community were resident of that bunker. They might not look like rich people now since money has lost a lot of it's value after the Invasion.''
Oliver nodded. ''I was surprised when I saw that musica were still used here. Most settlement use other types of currency nowaday. Like cans or knackles.''
Clara look at Oliver in confusion. ''Knackles, what are those? I never heard of them in any books I read.''
Oliver smirked amused that the bookworm of the group wouldn't know this. ''Well you arleady know what cans are since you used them to buy stuff back in Melody Town. Empty cans are worth one, dogs or cats cans of food is worth five and human cans of food is worth ten.''
Clara's face contorted in disgust. ''Wait do the people really eat can of food for dogs and cats?''
Oliver nodded. ''Of course, food don't grow on trees you know even I had to eat some a few times. It's really not that good but you get used to the taste after a while.'' Clara made a gagging noise. Oliver rolled his eyes at her. ''You're being overdramatic now.''
Clara shook her head trying to get the image out of her head. ''What about knackles? What are they?''
Oliver face became somber at the question. ''Knackles... Is the currency created by the Knights of Humanity most settlements who use it are under their control. So I wouldn't worry too much about it I doubt we will be sent to those settlements. After all the Resistance and the Knights are mortal enemies.''
Clara looked at Xofamai for confirmation who proceeded to nod in confirmation. ''Yeah we try to avoid contact with the Knights as much as possible. They hate Chosens with a burning passion and the Resistance is the most powerful group of Chosens in the entire world. They would want nothing more than destroy our entire community.''
Clara looked troubled at that new. ''Have they tried to attack you in the past?''
Xofamai frowned. ''Well yes when they meet us in the wild it often lead to battle between both sides. But if you meant if they tried to attack us here in our Community then the answer is no.''
Clara looked confused at that revelation. ''Why's that? After everything you said I would think they would want to come here and attack us at the first chance they got.''
Xofamai chuckled mirthlessly at that. ''It's simple really. The Knights claim they fight fearlessly for humanity and that they are the only ones that can save the world. But just like everyone else they're scared shitless of the Dragons and our community is smack dab in the middle of Boreas territory. They would never dare come inside Ringabell City not with those bulky armors that almost guarantee they wouldn't be able to retreat quickly if the Winter Dragon ever showed up.''
Clara looked at Xofamai in awe. ''So that's why the Resistance is here. You shield yourself from an enemy by hiding behind a much more dangerous enemy. That's the most insane plan I have ever heard!''
''Maybe but it worked.'' Xofamai said with one of his rare smirk.
''But... why hasn't the Winter Dragon attacked you after all this time?'' She asked to the man.
Xofamai scratched his chin with a frown on his face. ''As frustrating as that might sound to both of you. The reason why we never got attack is because Boreas does not see us as a threat. We're nothing more than ants living in his shadow. Most people wouldn't bother attacking an anthill unless it caused problems to them.''
Oliver gritted his teeth and clenched his fist around his brown Draconid Gem until his knuckled turned white. ''They destroyed everything we had and they act as if they arleady won. I'll show these monsters we still have a fight in us!'' Xofamai sighed and shook his head. He really hoped this kid wouldn't get himself killed in his quest for revenge, he really didn't want to have another death on his conscience...
''We're here.'' He said as they arrived in front of a small metalic door in the middle of the tracks. As they entered inside both Oliver and Clara gasped at the sheer size of the bunker it was almost as big as a football field and it look like the Resistance had placed some fake grass on the ground. The grass however looked like it had seen better days. They were many burned spots all over the field and they also saw that some spots looked frozen. ''People must have train here not long ago.'' Xofamai said. ''Luckily they left so we have the entire field to ourselves.''
''So what do we need to do?'' Oliver asked eager to get some action.
''Well, before we start properly training, I need to assess your skill level. To do this we will have match. Both of you will use an Elestia at the same time against one of my own.''
Clara cocked her head at this. ''Two against one isn't that a little unfair?''
The man dressed in black chuckled at that. ''Don't worry about me, my Elestia are more than strong enough to beat two Elestia owned by a bunch of Rookies.'' Oliver growled at him before grabbing his yellow Draconid Gem.
''Bolt come out!'' The Shockrrirel came out of the gem in a flash of yellow and stood ready for action. Clara walked onto the field beside Bolt. Xofamai raised an eyebrow.
''Clara what are you doing?'' He asked the girl impatiently.
''We're fightning are we not?'' The girl responded while taking a defensive stance.
Xofamai sighed and shook his head. ''Yes but this is a battle for our Elestia so get out of the field and call your Rodair.''
Clara walked back toward Oliver with a huff. ''She has a name you know! Stop calling her a Rodair, would you like it if I called you Kitsubi?!''
Xofamia made a tsk sound before carrying on. ''Just call your Elestia on the field.'' Clara huffed but did as commanded and asked Marie to come out. The small winged mouse fluttered into the field with a determined expression. ''Alright then, Misty come out,'' A light blue beam exploded into the field. Both teens held their breath when the Elestia came into view.
It was another Kitsubi but this one had an almost angelic air about it. The kitsubi did not have a solid form instead it was made out of a soft white mist that constantly shifted around with a invisible wind. It's five tails gracefully moved in the air in an almost hypnotic fashion.
''A-another Kitsubi?! Just how many of them do you have?'' Clara asked incrediously.
''And where is Aqua? I though she was the one we were going to fight.'' Oliver said with a frown plastered on his face.
''I said the other day that I have a special connection with Kitsubi, now you know why. Because of my connection with them I have a much easier time to train time than most people. And to answer your question Oliver I thought it would be too easy to use an Elestia you're arleady familiar with. Also with Aqua you would have a nature advantage and that wouldn't do for my test. You won't always have the advanatage in a mission. So it's better you get use to fight an opponent that has no disadvantage toward your team.''
Oliver grumbled something under his breath. Clara on the other hand looked at Marie worriedly, she would have a disadvantage of Nature during this fight and their opponent look pretty strong too. She didn't know how she could realistically win this.
''Alright then the match begin in three... two... one. Go!'' Xofamai exclaimed. Immediatly the graceful Kitsubi disapeared in a blur. The Kitsubi appeared behind Bolt. The squirrel-like Elestia cried out in alarm before he was hit by the tails of the Kitsubi sending him skidding on the ground.
''Bolt keep that Elestia away from you with your lightning!'' Oliver yelled in the distance. The Shockrirrel chittered at the boy and the yellow strip on his back lit up like a light bulb. Misty jumped back as a bolt of electricity hit the ground where she used to stand. Then she rushed toward Bolt, the small Shockrirrel tried to stop her with multiple bolts of lightning aimed toward her but the Kitsubi gracefully dodged every attacks that came her way. From where Oliver was standing it almost looked like the Elestia was dancing between the lightnings strikes.
Then when she got close enough Xofamai snap his finger to grab the attention of his Elestia. ''Misty! Use number four!'' Oliver was confused about what that meant but he got his answer pretty quickly. The mist surrounding the Kitsubi got brighter and dozens of ice spikes appeared out of thin air and were sent toward the defenseless Bolt.
''Marie help him! knock away those spike with your wind!'' Clara yelled seeing that the small squirrel was going to get hurt. The Rodair squeaked and did as ordered creating a large gust of wind that sent the spikes out of their courses.
Bolt squeaked out in fear when he realised that Misty was still standing there and stood in front of him in an aggressive pose. The Shockrirrel put his tail between his legs and ran away toward Oliver before hiding behind the boy's legs. ''Bolt?! What are you doing?! The fight is back there!''
Xofamai shook his head with a disaproving frown. ''This is the second time your Shockrirrel has done this. He also hid when he faced the Death Dragonling. If he's going to run away everytime he meet a threathening foe you won't be able to rely on him on missions at all.''
Oliver looked at Bolt with a worried expression. ''What can I do to make him less afraid?'' Xofamai smirked something that sent shiver down the boy's spine. ''Xofamai what are you planning?'' He asked arleady feeling like something horrible was about to happen.
''Misty attack Oliver.'' Xofamai said without any hesitation in his voice.
''W-what?!'' Both Oliver and Clara yelled at the same time. The Kitsubi opened her mouth wide and let out a beam of ice cold energy toward the boy. Oliver instinctively lifted his arms in a defensive position and closed his eyes awaiting his demise.
What he didn't see was that his body was starting to glow in a bright yellow color. At the same time Bolt cried out in alarm before putting himself between the beam of ice and Oliver. The Shockrirrel's body was engulfed into a yellow light and the beam of ice uselessly bouced against it. Realizing that he wasn't dead Oliver opened his eyes and gasped when he saw Bolt in the process of transforming before his very eyes.
''What's happening?!'' He asked in shock. Xofamai showed one of his rare grin and chuckled.
''This is even better than I anticipated, your Elestia is Boosting.'' The yellow light dissapeared just as suddenly as it had appeared and a new being stood where the small Shockrirrel used to be. The Elestia had not grown by much however he appeared much taller now since his transformation had turned him bipedal.
But that wasn't the only change to him since he was bipedal he had also earned human-like hands. Or rather one human-like hand. His other arm was still completely made of metal. Also one of his eyes had been covered by a black scooter lens that lit up with unknown symbols.
''This is impressive Oliver but it will take more than this to beat us. Misty use number one!'' The Kitsubi stomped on the ground and spikes of ice started appeearing on the floor in a straight line toward Bolt.
Shocking everyone present the bipedal squirrel lifted his metal arm and it started to shapeshift into something that could only be described as a cannon. The cannon lit up with a hiss and a huge beam of electricity was shot out of it obliterating all the ice spikes in it's path. Misty wasn't quick enough to get out of the way and howled in pain as jolt of electricity coursed through her.
''Alright Bolt you got this! Finish her with another attack like that!'' Oliver yelled excitedly.
Xofamai scoffed at the boy before smirking. ''I don't think so, Misty use number two.'' The Kitsubi shook herself out of her dazed state and her body began to expand before thick layer of fog covered everything around the Kitsubi in a large radius. Bolt tried to fire another beam of electricity but he only managed to hit empty air and he didn't know where the enemy Elestia was anymore.
''Let me clear that up for you, Marie use your wind to clear away that nasty fog!'' Marie squeaked with a determined smile on her face and she was about to do just that. But just before she could create a gust of wind she was struck by a ice cold beam of energy.
Marie cried out in pain before dropping down on the floor shivering. ''Marie!'' Clara yelled in concern before running to the side of her friend. ''Marie are you okay?!'' The small Rodair only managed a small pained squeaked in response.
Xofamai frowned before addressing Clara. ''She's not in a state to continue to fight. You should put her in her Draconid Gem so she can heal.'' Clara gulped she really didn't like to put her best friend in one of those things. But as she looked as Marie was shaking violently and was looking at her with a pitiful expression Clara sighed in resignation.
''Maria return.'' Clara said before a green beam of light engulfed the winged mouse and transported her to safety.
Xofamai nodded at her in approval. ''Now please get out of the battlefield. Me and Oliver still have a match to end.'' Clara nodded before walking away with defeat clear on her face.
Oliver and Xofamai looked at each other tensely waiting for the other to make a move. Then Xofamai broke the silence. ''Misty charge at the Cyberell!"
''Cyberell?'' Oliver asked in confusion but his question would have to wait another time because the Kitsubi emerged from the fog like a jet and headed straight at Bolt. ''Keep it away from you at all cost!'' Oliver yelled.
The bipedal squirrel slammed his metallic fist on the ground and created a shockwave of electricity all around him. ''Whoa!'' Oliver yelped and jumped back as the wave almost caught him. The Kitsubi did not slow down at all at seeing the shockwave instead she jumped in the air.
The Kitsubi glided in the air in an almost angelic gracefulness. She landed back on the ground long after the attack had dissapeared and was now just a meter away from her target. Bolt braced himself for an attack but instead Xofamai issued anoither order.
''Misty use number two again!'' Oliver eyes widened in horror as his Elestia became completely hidden from his vision by a new thick layer of fog.
''Bolt get out of there quickly!'' The bipedal rodent chittered before running as fast as he could but he was immediatly stopped when Misty appeared in front of him and blocked his path. Before he could do anything else the Kitsubi shot a beam of ice at him. Bolt squeaked in pain as the ice covered almost half of his body.
Then Misty ran up to him and slapped him hard with her five tails. The impact was strong enough to send the Elestia flying in the air. He flew out of the mist like a bullet and slammed into the wall a few centimeters away from Oliver.
''Bolt! Are you okay?!'' The bipedal rodent squeaked in a dazed manner and his eyes were completely unfocused. Then he was engulfed into a yellow light and turned back into his original form. ''Huh? You turned back into a Shockrirrel?'' He asked in confusion.
''It look like your Elestia can't fight anymore'' Xofamai said from behind him. Oliver sighed disapointedly before retrieving the yellow Draconid Gem from his pocket. Oliver looked up at Xofamai in shock when the man grabbed his arm and stopped him from recalling Bolt. ''I need to talk to Bolt for a moment alright?'' Oliver seemed hesitant at this but seeing the insistant expression of the man he sighed and back away.
Bolt looked up at the looming form of Xofamai and squeaked in fear. ''Don't worry I'm not here to hurt you. I just wanted to talk to you.'' The Elestia looked at him cautiously but waited for him to continue. ''Today you ran away from the fight and Oliver almost paid the price. Misty's attack wouldn't have put him in serious danger since she knew I didn't really want to kill him, but it still would have hurted like hell. But out there in the wild Oliver won't have the luxury of being in a safe environment if you run away in the middle of a battle he could easily die and you would be left without a master. You know what that mean don't you?''
Bolt shivered but nodded nonetheless. ''From now on you should trust Oliver. He still has much to learn but so do you. You need to learn to trust him in battle. A good master will always know when his Elestia is overhwelmed and will put them out of danger before anything serious happen. The Elestia protect his master and the master protect the Elestia that's the way of the Chosen.'' Xofamai looked back toward the two teens as he said this to make sure they were listening too. ''Alright I'm done with my speech.'' He said before backing away from the Elestia.
Oliver nodded and grabbed the Lightning Draconid Gem. ''Bolt return!'' He yelled. The Shockrirrel was safely put inside his gem where he could heal and relax for a while. Then Clara ran up to him and squealed in excitement.
''Oliver that was amazing! What happened to Bolt how did you make him change form like this?'' Oliver looked at Clara with a baffled look. The girl was very excited about learning anything new about Elestia, unfortunately he didn't have any response.
''That was Boosting. When a Chosen is put in a situation of danger their life force fluctuate and that can cause their Elestia to transform into a more powerful form temporarily. I believe Professor Dogwood talked about it yesterday.'' Xofamai explained to both of them.
''Right he explained so much stuff yesterday I almost forgot about that.'' Clara explained sheepishly.
Then something unexpected happened Oliver's vision became blurry and before he could understand what was happening he fell on the fake grass before falling unconscious.
Clara gasped in horror when she saw Oliver falling on the ground and laid there unmoving. ''Oliver! Oliver! Wake up Oliver!'' She yelled in a panic but Xofamai put a hand on her shoulder.
''Don't worry about him he's fine. But this is the downfall of Boosting. It can take up a lot of energy out of a Chosen especially one as inexperienced as him. He'll probably sleep like a log for the rest of the day but he'll be alright.'' Clara sighed in relief but still looked at him in concern.
She lifted her arm and used her telekinesis to lift his unconscious form in the air. ''The ground is no place to sleep I'll bring him to his tent.'' Xofamai looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
''Are you sure you can reach your tent like this without being seen in your hybrid form?'' Clara eyes widened as she realised she was still in her real form and she wouldn't be able to lift Oliver if she used her disguise.
She sighed in irritation. ''To hell with it I'm way too exhausted to worry about it. I'll just deal with the consequences tomorrow.'' Xofamai shrugged, he didn't really care whether or not she kept her real form a secret, it was none of his business. It wasn't like his real form was a secret to most of the base either the only reason why he hid his appearance his because people were annoying and would try to treat him like a pet always asking if they could pet his tails or ears. He got so annoyed that he just covered them constantly. As for the eyes well they tended to freak out the civilians as he passed throught the Community. So he decided to cover them too.
After too long most people had stopped harassing him about his Elestia traits because they were too afraid of his cold demeanor. Clara didn't really have something that would push the civilians away from her. In fact they would probably treat her like an animal at the petting zoo. He chuckled at the image before walking away.
- - - - -
Clara was now regreting her decision to walked throught the Ding Dong Community in her hybrid form. Everyone she passed across gawked at the half Elestia transporting an unconscious boy with her mind. But the worse were the children when she had to passed through one of the civilians station. They had all ran up to her and started petting her all over her body from her head and even her tail. The most annoying one had even yanked on one of her horns. Thankfully an apolegetic mother had ran up to the boy and dragged him away.
The Resistance section was a little less chaotic. But everyone still looked at her as if she was an alien... Now that she thought about it she technically was half alien, which was a weird thought. Before anyone could start asking too much questions she went inside her tent with Oliver and closed it. It was only around noon presently but she was drained after that battle with Xofamai. Not only that but she really didn't want to have to deal with everyone who would undoubtedly pester her with questions she would leave that problem to future Clara...

8 100Chronicles of Sora: Ruler of Rules
Some find him an idiot, some find him a genius, some find him weak and others strong. This is the story of Sora and his adventurers in the game that no one knows about Ruler of Rules. Author's note:1. Don't kill me for the typos etc - I know there are mistakes just comment and let me make the corrections.2. Don't kill me for other reasons - Comment and explain to me where I go wrong. I too want this to be an awesome story.3. Chances are either you will dislike this FF or love it. Very few will find the middle ground. Either ways, do read till chapter 17 and let me know if you are enjoying the journey!4. I hope you laugh lots and enjoy the story!
