The pain and torment of being imprisoned in a state of absolute nothingness only having memories of past woes to look to as the only beacon in the infernal void would drive any good man insane. Though I had come to my senses, with nothing to do, I pondered. My trance of being in an existential crisis had long passed. A question still remained in my head based upon my new found beliefs.
How?
How do I undermine this constant cycle of defeat and rebuilding?
How do I pull apart this predestined end?
How do I win?
Win?
It’s not a matter of winning just to defy the outcome of defeat. Victory is not the only means to obtain my end. I must not let my anger and resentment of the humans who did all of this take control of me or it will only perpetuate the cycle.
When suddenly; a monotone, seemingly artificial, voice resounded in my head. It was a voice I was all too familiar with. The voice of [The System]. [The System] is an entity and/or phenomena that not even the greatest demon sages can explain. There is one trait that is well known about [The System], absolute neutrality, and that is why I don’t lament [The System] itself for pushing forward the tyrannical cycle of death and murder.

Wait what?
A resounding headache struck my entire being as if I was fighting for my very being itself.
It hurts.
It’s painful.
I can feel my conscience being pulled into the ether as if my existence is no longer necessary.
However I MUST NOT FALL HERE.
I CAN’T. Not until I have rectified this loop of never ending sorrow.
The pain slowly subsides.

My conscience fades into the ether.
When I come to, I feel strange. My eyes adjust to the light.
Wait!
Eyes!
Where am I?
A regal voice resounds throughout the room.
“Oh great hero; please, I implore you, help us in our time of greatest need!”
