《Slime of Gluttony》-Chapter 6- Mistakes Were Made

Uughh...
Remind me to never sleep on hard ground again.
Ouch, anyway. Turns out slimes can indeed sleep. I didn't really think I wouldn't be able to, but I sure was surprised when I fell asleep the moment I wanted to! Going to sleep whenever I want to without having to wait with only my thoughts? Sheesh, I wish I had that ability back on Earth!
... back on Earth. You know, it's starting to really sink in. How I'm really not on Earth anymore. How this is actually life now. Everything is so much like a game that it's hard to face it as reality. Makes me wonder what sorta cruel yet sort of relatable God created this world... or gods, or maybe no god. I don't really wanna get into religion this early in the morning! Or, I'm guessing it's morning. For all I know, it could be the middle of the night. Not like it really matters, I've always had a terrible sleeping schedule. Let's just say it's very early morning and get on with it!
Oh yeah, I almost completely forgot what the point of that dangerous rest was. If I didn't sleep for like 6 minutes instead of 6 hours, I should be able to use It...
Look at that! Just like before, I'm a lizard guy now! Or, am I? I mean, I'm just using its body if we're looking into the technicalities... I'd rather not get into philosophy right now. In case you were for some reason wondering, the transformation and all that was exactly the same. And, pretty quick, too. Oh, and the whole notification telling me my time limit did too, so I guess that's something that I'll have to get used to.
I've gotta say, though, it's nice to have senses. It's totally disorienting not being able to know where I am, or where anything else is. I'm not saying I have a bad memory or anything, I just can't remember all that information!

[Scans conclude that you, contrary to your beliefs, have below-average memory.]
Hey! I totally have a great memory! What would you know anyway, huh?
[Everything.]
... Let's ignore how ominous that is.
I've been completely sidetracked! Even if I just woke up, I need to get to work! Or, get to escaping.. not exactly work, is it? I mean, unless I'm an escape artist.... That's beside the point! It's time to move!
And move I do!
You know, this hall is really long. Maybe it's just because my sight isn't that good, but I can't even see to the end of it! Looks like there'll be a lot of walking for me... that's not terrible, though. Four-legged movement really is convenient! I'm much less likely to trip than with two legs even if I'm new to walking like this! Even if it's a bit slower, it's a lot more consistent than as a slime...
In a boring moment like this, I really wish I had something interesting to do rather than talk to myself. Maybe some music? Oh... right, there's no way to have portable music here, probably. Hey, that makes me think, maybe this world is super high-tech or something! Maybe it's like that just with some fantasy elements! I assumed it was all medieval and stuff because of the fact that's pretty much synonymous with fantasy and reincarnation on earth. You never really know, right? Hmm, but which one would I really rather be in? Definitely a futuristic world, no question about it. Oh, sure, the culture and stuff of the older times is cool and all, but, it really doesn't have the conveniences of modern times! So... let's hope it's the latter? Who am I kidding, that's probably not likely at all!
No way... I'm not even close to getting to the end of this strangely very ominous hall. Can we jump forward in time a bit? This is gonna be a pain... but not as much pain as dying!

And like, I dunno, thirty or so minutes passed in quite a while, actually.
Now, what do you think is at the end? Perhaps some sorta of killer looking boss monster? Judging by the long and arduous corridor, the damn afterlife? Well, you're both wrong and stupid. What would you know, it's a door. A big door. A big ol' door right in front of my face.
Yeah! A door! Hooray! This could be the exit! I've finally made it! The only question is, how do I get it open?
First idea, I walk into it.
... okay, that didn't work. I just sorta hurt myself, actually. I mean, not that I didn't expect that. It's a huge stone door...
Maybe I should just... add a little oomph. You got it, instead of walking, running! I'm sure this'll end up great!
First, I back up a bit, just so I can build up a little speed! Then, after I'm at the appropriate distance, time to go MACH SPEED! Or, uh, run kinda fast.
Let's go!
Almost there, almost there... Ow! I slam my head directly into the door, and... oh, man! It flew open super fast!
... and below me is stairs. Which, since I'm also going fast, am about to roll down.
Ow!
You have taken 1 damage.
Ow! Ow! Ouch!
You have taken 1 damage.
Gah! Damn it! Ugh... at least I'm at the bottom now.
Okay... what? Wait, hold up a minute, why was their stairs going down here? I thought this was the entrance!
You have entered floor two of dungeon: Dungeon of the Abomination. Good luck.
Huh...? You mind repeating that? There's a floor two? And I just entered it? Come on! This is not okay! This is biased against my very existence! I'm not trying to get deeper into the dungeon, I'm trying to leave! How is it fair that everything bad is happening to me? It's not! It's not fair!
Okay, I should probably calm down. Nothing good is going to come from me freaking out, not to mention whining. Even if I'm in pain right now, I should probably climb back up...
Some time passed, and I reached the top of these stairs. Sure, it took a while to fall down, but I didn't think there was really this many... I'm already having trouble walking, stairs are like walking but actually jumping! Not only was it a long way up, each stair was super high up and big! Sure, these things probably weren't made for someone like me, but it's still a pain to have to deal with it.
That reminds me... I'll have to go through his huge corridor again... and then get over the hole... for god's sake, who would design a dungeon like this?
...
I made it past the huge hall. I mean, at least the other parts of the dungeon have like shifting ways to go which makes it somewhat fun. It was like a corn maze! Not that I've ever actually been in one, but, let's ignore that fact.
Hm... okay, well, here's a weird thing. Remember that huge hole from earlier? You know, the thing that almost cost me my life? It's gone. Yeah, just totally gone. There's not even a bit of evidence of it ever being here! Like, that's pretty creepy, right? I'm not complaining or anything, I'm completely glad it's not here! But, it's still weird.
Alright, moving on, my prime directive at this moment is to get back to where I came from and retry from there! Or, maybe try some other paths, I dunno.
