It was finally over. I cried on the way to Toga Town. The years of abuse from Crow have finally ended and his life will become a nightmare. There is no way his older brother King Night would forgive him. He would lose support from the entire nobility of the kingdom. I hope Crow gets sentenced to a lifetime of torture and lives in a desolated cell for the rest of his life.

At the maximum carriage speed, it would take us 1 hour to reach the closest town. I alone can outrun the carriage and get to that town in possibly 20 minutes. However, I still need to hide my true identity, or else the plan will fall apart. And I didn’t want to abandon my other 4 friends. They were my closest friends growing up while under the servitude of the bastard Crow. I want to tell them about my real identity after this ordeal.

I never thought I would ever get my revenge against Crow. The royal castle was too heavily guarded for me to torture him and kill him. It wasn’t until the previous king, King Black announces the war for the throne. All 9 of his children born from 4 different mothers were forced by King Black to fight for the throne. None of the children were able to run away. King Black was a powerful man; there was nobody who dared to stop him. However, Crow was the only exception who didn’t have to fight for the throne. King Black sent Crow away to the outside world. Where he was given a tiny piece of land with 100 serfs in it. King Black hated Crow for being a pedophile and a coward.

The only survivor of the throne wars was Night. He was the 2nd Son. Even King Black mysteriously died in the throne wars. Night became the new King and shared the same mother as Crow. He ended up giving in to Crow’s sick demand of young noble wives. It was so disgusting but it was at that moment, I realized the plan to end Crow.

“ Everyone, we are almost there! I can see the town from here!”

The maids rejoiced in happiness. We were all finally done with Crow. It was still in the middle of the night when we approached the entrance.

“ Guards! Bring out the most important person right now, there is an emergency!”

The 2 guards shrugged their shoulders and look at each other.

“ What is this emergency? We cannot let mere maids see the Earl at this time, “ said guard 1.

“ Prince Crow has gone crazy and killed his 3 noble wives who weren’t young enough for him. He has taken up a blade against the entire nobility of the kingdom!”

The guards were still calm and suspicious of me.

“ There is no time to waste, there is proof!”

“ Slander against the prince is a crime. If what you say is true then follow me, we will let you speak to the captain,” replied guard 1.

They took us into the outpost, and we waited for their captain to show up.

The captain informed, “ I heard the story. Sorry to say but we will not be sending any soldiers to investigate the prince at this moment.”

“ Are you crazy? You are going to let the Prince get away with murdering the nobility of this kingdom?”

“ We will need permission from the Earl to dispatch soldiers to investigate the crimes of the Prince. The Earl does not like being interrupted in his sleep, so we will wait until morning,” responded the captain.

“ But this is an emergency!”

“ We still don’t believe you are telling the truth. Please wait here until the Earl wakes up. If we were to send soldiers to investigate Prince Crow and you were telling a lie. The royals and nobility would have all of us executed for trying to go against the prince,” lectured the captain.

So frustrating. I hate the upper elites of this country. Is there anything we can do? Well even if we did do nothing, they will soon discover the dead girls on Crow’s bed. Wait, what if Crow wakes up again. What will he do? Is he going to cover up the crime scene? It shouldn’t matter because I have the document list of the girls. The names of the ones who were chosen, raped and killed.

“ Captain, I have the names of the girls that were chosen by the Prince and killed”

“ Oh? Please show it to me, I need to verify this,” said the captain.

We were sitting and waiting for the Captain to verify the evidence. 30 minutes later he never came back out of his office. Instead, we were greeted by a group of guards. They quickly surrounded us.

“ What are you doing? We didn’t commit any crimes.”

“ Shut up maid, you are all under arrest for slander against the royalty,” yelled a guard.

Did the plan fail? They shouldn’t have known the real truth. What is happening? This really can’t be… will Crow not face justice for his crimes? Will I not get my revenge?

“ All of you wait here in your cell,” ordered the guard.

“ Wait what will happen to us?”

“ You do not need to know,” said the guard.

The guards brought us into a jail cell. I bit my tongue and apologize profusely to my friends. It was my plan after all that got them into this mess. My friends comforted me saying that they were prepared for it.

I managed to snatch a key from one of the guards before they put us in this dark musty cell. I was debating on what to do. Should we make a run for it and try to tell another town or city? Or should we wait until morning for the Earl to hear our story? I decided on the latter. After all, going to another town or city is too risky now. If we left, they would believe in Crow and blame us for the death of the noble girls. We need to show them that we are innocent and telling the truth by staying here. Crow will surely face retribution for his crimes.

I told my friends not to worry, we will still make Crow suffer for his crime.
