Arc 2 Azure Black

“ Azure, never forget that you’re a Royal.”

She was my mother. I still remembered those early first 5 years of my life with being with her. It was the happiest time of my life. 

On the day of the selection process, Crow was completely different. Before that day, he was telling us, 5 maids, that the new King has finally sent him what he wanted. A group of 5-year-old noble girls from all over the kingdom to his manor. He wanted to have all of them. He said it will be the first time he will get to experience real girls since the previous King always forbids him. When I found out that the new king didn’t do that, instead sent him girls that were at least 10 years old. I laughed so hard in my room when Crow wasn’t around. The king probably didn’t want to be seen as a pedophile by the people either. That bastard Crow will be enraged on that day. But that never happened. He calmly rejected all of them. My plan to frame him as a rotten pedophile killer was falling apart until those 3 girls begged him to stay. 

Those 3 girls were of lower nobility, the other maids worried that we won’t be able to cause enough damage to Crow and ruin his life for good. The other maids were my allies, they knew of the corruption of the royals and nobles. I reassure them that we can always spread the news to every noble family that their daughters would have been raped and killed off, the next time Crow demanded wives. It will enrage the nobles of the entire kingdom. Those rotten nobles are only sending their rotten daughters just so they can marry into rotten royalty. I didn’t want to abandon the plan, not after so long I have waited for a perfect chance for my revenge against Crow.

Why… Why did Crow change into a completely different person? After the selection process. Crow ended up giving his collected food tax back to the poor serfs. Did he found out about the plan? No that should be impossible. He started to treat everyone with kindness. It was disgusting when he tried to be kind to me. My stomach was turning when Crow sat beside me on the carriage instead of inside. 

On the carriage ride, I thought about my past. The day that I turned 5 years old, I was taken away from my Mother. They never let me see my mother ever again. I was immediately put into maid training. Additionally, I was the only maid given secret combat training as well. When I turned 10 years old, I was put under the servitude of one of the king’s children Crow. He was one of the 9 children to the king and heir to the throne. We were both the same age. I thought Crow would at least be a decent Royal but he was easily the worst of them.

Hearing the villagers bad-mouthing Crow was music to my ears. Usually, Crow couldn’t care less about what random serfs have to say about him. As long as the serfs provided high taxes for Crow, he wouldn’t go around killing them. I caught a single tear that fell on Crow’s face when he ran off into the forest. He was acting differently than usual. That scumbag finally realized how much of a scumbag he truly was.

So annoying waiting outside of the forest for Crow.

It was so boring that I ended recalling my past again. I had to bleach my hair blonde once every month to make sure nobody ever find out I had black hair. I knew I was an illegitimate child. If they found out that I was born from a commoner mother, I would be executed. Only King Black knew of my secret and none of the other elites knew. He was a powerful man who has always hidden my true identity within the capital. I wonder if he was the person responsible for getting my mother pregnant. He was also the one who trained me. To this day, I still don’t what is King Black’s purpose for doing this.

Crow was trying to shoot some fireball out of his hands. He must have lost his mind. No doubt about it. Looks like that idiot is finally coming out of the forest.

“ Azure you waited for me?” asked Crow.

This idiot, I am his servant. He did order me to accompany him after all. Does he lack common sense?

“ Of course, I am your maid.”

“ It’s alright, I wouldn’t have minded if you wanted to head back to the manor without me though,” said Crow.

“ Tell me that first before you run off Lord Crow.”

He irritates me so much, but no matters. Everything will end tonight.

“ Sorry that was my bad. Azure please take the carriage back to the manor. I will be running back myself,” apologized Crow.

“ As you wish.”

Good, I don’t have to hang around him anymore. Crow has always ignored all of us maids. He doesn’t even like having us around him. So Crow being nice and wanting me to be with him was too different from how he usually is. He is a sick person who likes little girls but only wants them with a noble background. Back in the manor, he asked me something stupid.

“ Lord Crow there is no such thing as the magic you’re talking about.”

Was it the retarded things he was trying to do in the forest earlier. Wow, he has lost it. He probably felt so much shock that the new king betrayed his promise of giving him 5-years-old girls.

“ Ahh sorry, I must be um… sleepy?” said Crow.

“ Perhaps you should sleep with your new wives.”

I better hurry up the plan so I don’t have to deal with this idiot anymore.

“ Once again Azure, they are not my wives. They are little sisters that must be protected! If I did like a woman in that kind of way. I liked you the most Azure!” replied Crow.

WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT! Did this pedophile seriously lost his goddam mind? This is the first time he expressed interest in a proper adult woman. He has to be deceiving me.
