《Death With Benefits》One Will………..

I was on my balcony admiring the city lights as I reminisced about the time with Stella. I sighed and stopped thinking about it.
'STATUS'
Name: Samsara Yu
Age: 17 years old
Race: ??
Unique ability: Death with benefits
Life span: 20000 years
Willpower: manifestation
'Though I didn't comment on it before this life span is getting out of hand' I thought with a wry smile. I then started wondering how to use my willpower. I sat in meditation searching deep inside my mind. As l entered a perfect state of calm I started feeling a warmth radiating in my mind space. Its glow was soft spreading in the entirety of the space illuminating it. My consciousness neared it and fused with it. Instantly I understood the nature of this glow it was a representation of my WILL. As my consciousness fused with it I felt that I could control it now, I couldn't wait to try.
I exited that mystical mind space and returned to reality. I was still sitting on my balcony, the wind was softly blowing, the moon and stars were illuminating the midnight sky. As I opened my eyes a new glow could now be found in them. I started searching for a target to practice this new ability. My eyes stopped on the chair and table in the corner. I decided to go with them.
Focusing my mind I willed for their destruction. At first, I didn't feel anything and was wondering if I couldn't master it then I felt something. I felt a weird type of power flowing out of me directed at the chair and table, when it reached it, I expected to see the table explode or break but to my astonishment and utter shock the table and the chair just disintegrated.
All this takes a lot of time to describe but from the moment I WILLED it to the disintegration of the furniture, only 0.5s passed.
'This is horrifying, what sort of power can be this monstrous?. Mine apparently and looking at the past trend this power should become more and more frightening with each improvement by death' i thought in awe of myself.

I tried to see what other things I could do with it, I willed to be able to see Chloe as I didn't saw her for a long time now just to see what would happen. Instantly the same phenomenon appeared again, a brilliant light flashed in my eyes, and my gaze passed through space and reached Chloe.
She was in a bathrobe seated in a luxurious room, holding a glass of wine. Her pale skin looked flushed and her dark long hair was dripping water. As if she felt something she turned and looked in my direction, her eyes had already turned crimson and I could see her muscle tensing preparing for an attack. But as she continued to look, a puzzled expression appeared in her eyes, she said tentatively:
''Samsara?''
'I couldn't answer or could I? I exerted my power, willed to transmit my thoughts to her'
« Hey, Chloe how is it going? » I saw her flinch and look around the room.
''Where are you? I can't see you, but weirdly I know it's you because of my signature on your essence.''
Ah so this explained how she noticed me spying on her, I thought it was due to her level but it seemed I was wrong.
« I am testing out my new ability. How did it go with your mission Blood dragon? » I asked mischievously
Her face slackened and her red eyes returned to normal then she sighed
''I can see your date with Stella went well, she must have told you about this unfortunate nickname,'' she said
As she mention Stella I looked at her to see if there was a trace of ill-feeling, even though Stella told me that she endorsed it, I needed to make sure.
'' Oh don't worry Stella is my sister and you're mine so I don't mind much, you're still new in the supernatural or else you would know that for us beings who live for an eternity, conventional relationships are not the norm. If it were not because Stella and I had been isolated from a good part of the supernatural community, me because of my freakish powers and Stella because of her nature and father, Stella would have just used a human for a one night stand despite the possibility of him dying during the act. Most supernatural wouldn't bat an eyelid doing this.'' she spoke after my silence as if sensing my thoughts.

I listened to her and even though I still couldn't understand the way these beings thoughts, I decided to stay open as I was now part of this world.
« When will you be back ?»
''I am not sure even though I am supposed to be on a mission, I keep feeling something is wrong, the group I am here to apprehend is more tricky than I thought.''
« I thought you were there for an issue inside the branch of your clan? » I send puzzled.
''I thought so too but my dear father didn't inform me about this, I think after the party and my massive leap in strength when I drank your blood had him frightened'' she said melancholically
« Don't worry about it. The group you've mentioned what are they? » I comforted then asked her
''Well they are a group composed of numerous individuals there are rogue vampires, mages, some werewolves. They are massively massacring humans in this city. The number of deaths is staggering. Even though normally a few death wouldn't warrant my intervention, these numbers are…, it's getting more difficult to cover their mess under the piercing eyes of the human authority. They even started assigning squad to apprehend the culprits'' she answered feeling tired.
« Did you learn their goal? » I asked solemnly.
''No this is what worries me there are no particular patterns to it. The situation is getting tense a few members of the local branch have disappeared too. I assume the worst.'' she said coldly
I could feel her anger at this situation.
''So I won't be able to come back anytime soon,'' she said regretfully.
''Also I learned about the attempt on your life by these werewolves, I had one of my subordinates looked into it and it seemed they were mercenary for hire. I don't know their employer but I know their actual location I will send you their coordinates via smartphone,'' she said casually.
« Thank you. Don't work too hard,» I said which made her cold face let out a beautiful smile. After our goodbyes, I cut the connection.
I stood up from my seated position and went to the railings. observing the city. I felt something wicked was coming my way soon. With my heightened sense, I noticed that my feelings were usually accurate so this and the news brought by Chloe made me wary.
I shake those thoughts and returned to the now. I was amazed by the power of my WILL. I managed to communicate with Chloe despite the hundreds of kilometers separating us, although I felt exhausted mentally I still felt this would become one of my most powerful weapons as most of the supernaturals were already extremely strong physically. My upgraded body wasn't enough to give me an edge during the fights.
'DING'
I had received a notification, taking my phone I saw that it was a message with some coordinate attached. I looked at it and thought 'GOTCHA'.
Although I looked unbothered by that ambush last time, I did something about it, I told Stella to ask Chloe if she could find the responsible. And now that she came through it was time for payback.
But first I went to sleep. What? you too would be exhausted if you had spent the one night and half a day with Stella.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. The story will continue with Catalyst: Calunoth, just as soon as I am done revising its content for here on Royal Road.

Way of the World
In a world of martial arts and magic, where the strong do as they please, a young swordsman seeks revenge for his school's destruction and mentor's death, while trying to stay true to his own values. Arround him, the era shifts as immense powers struggle and scheme for the world's future. Join our protagonist as he travels through exotic lands, meets strange and funny creatures and learns to remain human amongst the carnage. Author's note: This is the first story I'm writting in a coherent manner (I have written a lot of DnD background stories in the past), so bear with me if I make boring or overdescriptive bits: I'll regularly come back to rewrite whichever parts feel unpolished, especially grammatical errors. I would also appreciate any corrections or suggestions.
