《Phantom Storm》Where Were You?/ Mother's Study

As the man walked through the door, I observed the immediate surroundings behind his large frame. This was a rare opportunity for me, after all. I'd finally gotten an opportunity to witness where I've been residing for the past seven months. About one hundred metres from the front of our house, a gravel path paved onto the dirt-covered floor lead towards a tiny lake. Surrounding this water source was an abundance of trees that formed a miniature forest.
Judging from this, it is very likely that my mother and I lived in an isolated location. When I was ultimately contemptuous with my observation, I decided to finally pay attention to this strange man in front of me. An expression of shock rushed onto my face betraying my usually calm demeanour as I watched my mother and this strange man engaging in a passionate hug. They exchanged a few words before a new possibility gradually dawned on me. This man is most likely my father.
I was wondering why I had never seen him before, but this would explain it perfectly? As I observed him, I noticed his equally intense gaze towards me. We stared each other down for a while until he eventually released his pickax and leaned it in the direction of the floor. Suddenly he rushed towards me in his dirty attire. With great enthusiasm, the dark elven man reached his hands out and tried to pick me up. However, I moved my entire body to the left with haste and utterly dodged him. As a respectable person who values hygiene, there is no way I would let this man touch me with those filthy hands of his!
Motioning my enlarged baby head towards his hands, I make a disgusted face in the hopes of giving him a clue without revealing my sentient intelligence. Seemingly understanding, he lowers his head with embarrassment and rushes to the bathroom. A few minutes later, he returns once more with a smug smile on his face. In the spirit of showing off, he picks me up from the ground and lobs me atop his head. I decide not to resist and instead observe him from a high vantage point. My gut is telling me that we will be at odds in the future, he has no respect for personal space. Oh wait, I forgot I was a baby at the moment.
I internally rejoice as he has smooth dark skin and a slightly above-average face, no homo. This combination of a beautiful mother with a caring aura and a father with an intense gaze matching his handsome tanned face is pure bliss. Ah, it is wonderful as this gives me a very high chance to be attractive when I mature more. Wait, I once heard that beautiful people have ugly babies. The disturbing thought of turning out ugly in a fantasy world sent shivers down my spine. However, I decided to let future me handle it. I suspect that this man with the gold-rimmed iris is a miner judging by the excessive amount of grime on his rugged body. The pickaxe lying at the root of his feet also played a role in this suspicion of mine.
Approximately a whole week has passed since my father showed up in front of the house, I got to admit the place has become livelier, especially during the night! But I don't mind much since I usually read during the night. Today I'm in a great mood because I fell from the counter onto the carpet, well not specifically the fall but the fact that it caused me to have [+1 vitality]. That confirm's my theory that resistance to the body's defence causes [vitality] to increase.

That's not all as I managed to defeat the nine-point roadblock for my three main attributes during this week, 'System'.

Whoa, A lot changed this time around, I feel a headache coming in. First [Abnormal] status just added my three main stats as well, this confirms what I initially thought since all of the ones stated as [Abnormal..] are above ten attribute points. So, ten attribute points are the limit of the average baby body, huh. Why can surpass this limit then?
The second thing that caught my eye is that my health increased... wait, I just noticed something! Previously when my [vitality] was at four points my health was at twelve, and now that it's at five points my health is also at fifth-teen. This is in direct relation to health being three times the amount of vitality for both instances. Doesn't that mean that my health is always gonna be three times the amount of my vitality?
The third thing I noticed is that my intelligence increased for the first time, is this in correlation with the new skills section. Ah, I have too many questions! Well, whatever all I care about is that I finally have the language skill. I expected I would get a skill if I learned the language of this world, after all, I have an ability measuring system. It would only be natural if it showed my skills as well as my physical abilities. Closing my eyes with a contempt smile on my face, I release all my locked-up sleepiness and gradually lose consciousness.
A warm sensation seeps through my whole body as I rise into a new morning. Today I have a new routine, since my recent understanding of how each attribute functions I've been thinking of adopting a more effective training regimen. Currently, I can easily stand up and take a few dozen steps before falling back down. Even though it's a meagre amount it still allows me to go around my room twice, this process can raise my [Strength], [Agility], and [Stamina] by a point or two.
It will also be more effective if I simultaneously carry a few books on my head while doing the laps, If this process of using all my stamina and repeating the laps is carried out multiple times the results will very likely be impressive. Now that my physical abilities are taken care of, I need to think about my mental ones. For wisdom, there isn't much I can do other than continuing to do good decisions. Intelligence has been a pain to figure out but I finally understand how it works. It improves when I comprehend, learn, or practically just challenge my brain. That is most likely why it rose by one when I gained the language skill as well. Not wanting to waste my precious time any more than I already have I rush out of my crib, do a few stretches, implement my plan for raising [Strength], [Agility], and [Stamina], then after that mother comes to feed me, after that I read for a few hours, get fed once more, shower, eat, read and head to bed. My life continues on this path for the next three months. I guess it's time now, time for my first birthday.

_________________________________________________
It's my birthday soon and I'm very excited, there are two reasons why I'm in such a good mood. The first is that I am now capable of speaking and understanding most if not all basic, or intermediate words of this language that I have recently learned is named 'Common'. The second reason is the fact that I can independently read basic words and am fully capable of walking on my own now.
Due to my continuous practice during these three months, my stats have also increased greatly. Unfortunately, I seem to have hit a roadblock again. All of my attributes have stagnated at the nineteen-point mark, if my previous hypotheses prove true then it is very likely that the only way for me to surpass this is by officially reaching the [child] state. The only issue with that is that I have no idea what age this ability measuring system deems worthy of being classified in the [child] state.
The door to my room gently opened and my mother sneaked in through the tiny crack, as soon as she was in the clear she bolted towards me. Ugh, I knew what was gonna happen the moment I heard that door creaking open but there wasn't much I could do to change it.
"Come on Itsuki, say it. I know you know how to, do it for me" She urged me on, at first I was able to resist. But eventually the nagging put me in a sorry state so I decided to comply.
"Mama, ugh... M-mama" I played my role and after repeating this accursed sentence a few more times's my mother finally left.
Also, there was the recent achievement of learning common, so I thought it the perfect way to celebrate. Uttering a simple Mama and Dada made both of them so delighted that they continuously barged into my room and made me say those words over and over. Some time passed and my father came in trying to test his luck out as well, I gave him what he wanted, and he left, then I returned to check my status page. 'System'.

I experienced tremendous improvement in all my stats, especially [vitality]. I am ashamed to say it but the process of improvement for [vitality] was a bit awkward. Bear in mind that I am in no way a masochist and that it was a necessary action for me to improve!! The way I improved [Vitality] was by repeatedly stepping on Lego-like toys, dropping from the counter, and jumping out of my crib onto the durable wooden floor. Anyone would do the same to become stronger, right?
Although I suffered a lot I also gained a new skill that reduced the amount of pain my body felt, one could say the gains were larger than the losses. This skill may sound powerful but it didn't reduce the amount of damage I received or anything, think of it as a cup of water. The damage I receive would be the water and the cup represents the pain I feel, even if the water spill's out of the cup the cup's limit is still a fixed amount. This skill might be quite useful in future fights.
This skill also caused me to realize how skill's themselves are earned. Simply put the process of gaining a skill is by repeating a specific action for a certain amount of time. Doesn't that mean that gaining skills like poison resistance would require me to expose myself to poison multiple times? I stop my train of thought and get up out of my crib, I think it's about time. Currently, it's late in the night, today I didn't practice Instead I chose to sacrifice one day to fully comprehend my environment.
Ever since my reincarnation I've been to every room in the house except for that one, I'm told it's my mother's study and I'm not allowed in. I thought about it multiple times and ultimately decided to ignore that warning, the reason why is because I feel that my father only told me to keep away from the room because my mother once reprimanded him when he went in.
Also during these three months, I've been spying on the room. Luckily, last month I got a tiny peek into the room. The only word I can use to describe it is Books, tons, and tons of books. It's perfect for me since one of my current goals is getting information. The only thing that kept me from rushing into that room was the fact that I wouldn't be able to even get there, but that problem is now solved since I am fully capable of walking on my own.Crouching to the floor, I grab my stuff, put it on my back, and proceed to push a stool next to the door. I climb on top with my superior agility and silently open the door, afterwords I head back down and pass through the tiny crack that I have just made. Then I crouch low to the floor once more and gradually move towards the direction of my mother's study. Everything goes smoothly and I eventually arrive at my desired location.
I head through the door. On the inside of this mysterious and elusive room, I'm surprised to find a relatively large room with bookcases filled to the brim with scrolls and thick books. I stand there salivating with excitement at the mere thought of the amount of knowledge contained in this room alone. This is a small-scale library, I abruptly snap back to reality. I have to move fast or else I'll be caught and won't be allowed to return to this room ever again.
Searching my surroundings, I find an inconspicuous area at the corner of the room. I make up my mind and urgently head there, put down my midnight-coloured blanket, and arrange my body in a position that allows me to sleep comfortably without sacrificing my viewpoint of the environment around me. The reason why I chose to sleep here is that I can't read in the darkness of the night, so I would have to wait until daylight. You may be wondering why I didn't just turn the lights on, well that's obviously because it would awaken my parents.
A little while passes before my consciousness gradually falls into the inevitable clutches of sleep.
