Chapter 79. The purple robed individual
The purple robed individual instantly rushed into the five of them and threw out a vicious punch straight at them.
Michael quickly intervened to block it, however the impact from the strike shattered the bones in his arm creating a cracking sound.
“Gah!” Michael screamed as it shattered.
“Michael!” Everyone exclaimed, they didn’t expect the purple robed figure to be so vicious.
The purple robed individual grabbed onto Michael’s collar and tossed him into the other four trainees.
“You really think you could block me? A mere normie thinks they can block my attack! AHAHAHA” The purple robed individual laughed maniacally as Seth helped Michael up.
Julie quickly hurried over to Michael to check on his condition, however, the limp right arm hanging on Michael’s side showed how brutal that punch was.
“Michael…” Tears streamed down Julie’s eyes as she couldn’t believe what just happened.
“Now…” The purple robed individual disappeared and reappeared back to where he once was. He took another step forward. “Can you still see me?”
The five trainees angrily glared at the purple robed individual standing before them.
“Oh? You still can? Then it’s not that guy…you perhaps?” He pointed at Julie.
“P6, teleport me” The purple robed individual spoke up and quickly vanished from his spot. He appeared directly beside Julie who was completely caught off guard.
“Is it you…?”
Bam!
The purple robed individual threw a punch directly at Julie’s face, causing her to spin midair before crashing on the ground.
“It’s not you either.” He turned to Seth and quickly kicked out. The body of the young man flew directly into Michael and Julie creating a pile of unconscious bodies on the ground. “You’re just a normie.”
“P6, teleport them.” The three bodies of Julie, Michael, and Seth, along with Arthur vanished reappeared before the five robed individuals.
“Shel—”
Arthur was instantly knocked unconscious and thrown alongside the rest.
“P5, burn them.” One of the green robed individuals spoke up and commanded. Immediately a ball of flame formed in one of the purple robed individual’s hands and tossed it onto the four of them.
“Ahhhhh” Their loud screaming echoed in the air as they cried awake, they were being burned alive before Shelly’s very eyes.
“Can you still see me, girl?” The purple robed individual stepped in front of Shelly, blocking her line of sight and spoke up.
“Can you still see me? Can you still see me? CAN YOU STILL SEE ME!?” The purple robed individual slowly grew larger and taller tearing away the robes within it’s body as it begun to sprout bat-like wings transforming into a giant bat.
However, before the enormous bat completed its transformation the little girl spoke up “Yes.”
“So… it is you…! AHAHAHA! DIE!!!!—”
“Boss, what’re you doing?” Shelly quickly interrupted the bat who was flying straight at her.
“Boss, who is Boss? I’m…P8.” The large bat creature sputtered to a halt and asked.
“Boss, P5 was the one who knew how to teleport. You said P6.” Shelly rolled her eyes. “What’re you doing? Where’s young master?”
“Tch, you’ve got me.”
Boss calmly walked out as the illusions around him started to change. The trainees who were once burned quickly stood back up and blew out the flames on their body before coughing in embarrassment for their behavior. They quickly waved at her before vanishing with smiles on their face.

“Are you alright?” Boss asked.
“I’m okay.” Shelly answered as she turned to look at the brown wigged sunglasses wearing immortal before her.
Boss quietly nodded his head and spoke up, “I’m here for the training, did you forget?” Boss waved his hand in the air and four more portals appeared in front of Shelly. “I swapped them after you inspected and sensed nothing, once you opened your eyes again the people besides you were my illusions. The real four are each in here.”
Within the portals was similar scenario that Shelly had faced. Hooded figures who are completely obvious illusions of various shapes and sizes were faced off against them.
“Tell me, what should I do with Arthur?” Boss asked as he looked in the portal. “Do you want to die?”
Shelly looked inside Arthur’s portal and shook her head. “I don’t want young master to get hurt, can you let him do well?” She asks.
“Hmm…a long arduous fight or a speedy finish?” Boss asked in reply.
“Arduous.” Shelly answered instantly.
“Ohoho, alright. But, it’s up to you guys whether or not he can complete it. Would you like to watch?”
Shelly shook her head. “I’m going back to the Inn.” Shelly calmly walked further away before suddenly stopping in place.
“Is there anything else, Shelly?” Boss asked as he noticed the girl not moving.
Shelly didn’t answer and continued to walk further away.
Boss shook his head at seeing the departing figure of the girl walk away and returned to look through the remaining four portals, each one the size of an average adult. “Calm even when the four of them were being burned, I know she knew they were illusions, but still, no reactions at all? What’s up with you Shelly?” Boss muttered quietly to himself as he thought about the ever calm white haired girl with sapphire eyes. He then turned to look at the remaining four portals “Hm, without her, I guess it’ll be tougher for you four then.”
…
“Guys, where are you?” Seth shouted as he looked around. The landscape was forested area covered by trees back in Rouge. He had speculated that it was Boss’ doing, however five robed individuals quickly appeared before his very eyes causing him to quickly change his mind as he hid behind a tree.
“Spread out, look for him.” One of the purple robed individuals spoke up. “Teleport him to us immediately, P6 when you spot him.” The purple robed individual pointed at his green robed companion and commanded.
“Yes, sir.” The green robed individual nodded and slowly started to move, the pathway he took was directly straight to Seth.
Seeing the green robed individual walk towards him, Seth couldn’t help but feel panicked, his eyes darted around towards a denser area as he quietly snuck away.
…
“Michael! Michael!” Julie cried as she held up the bloodied lifeless body within her arms.
The five of them were teleported to the grassy fields on the way to Asmar, with beautiful flowers all around them. However, before they even had time to enjoy the scenery, five robed individuals appeared before them.
“P6, teleport Michael to us.” One of the green robed individuals spoke up causing Michael to instantly disappear from her grasp.
Five violent strikes straight to the body of the young man caused him to collapse completely on the ground, blood flowing from every orifice before being teleported right back into her arms.

“Boss! Dr. Galil! Gran! Anyone! Save Michael! Save…Michael…” Julie shouted in despair as the blood of the young man she loved dyed her robe a dark shade of red. She looked at trainees around her, however, their expression was somber as they shook their head.
“It’s too late.” The green robed individual spoke up. “If only he wasn’t such a pathetic normie…maybe he could’ve defended our attacks.”
“You!” Julie shouted at the five of them. “I’ll kill you!”
“Fool.”
…
“No! STOP ITTTT” Michael shouted as a ball of flame crashed into the piles of unconscious bodies before him burning them up completely. He tried desperately to put it out, but all that’s left was his nearly destroyed hands.
“Good job, K2.” A green robed individual walked over and patted a purple robed individual on the shoulder.
“It’s your fault, you are the one that can nullify P5’s cloaking abilities, you must die for us to complete our missions.”
“Powers? How many times do I have to say it? I don’t have any, I don’t have any, I DON’T HAVE ANY.” Michael wailed as he knelt before the charred corpses of the trainees before him. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect everyone around him to die today. Wasn’t he the one that was supposed to die…? “Why? Why couldn’t it be me…?” Michael crumpled his hand into a ball of fist as he got up.
“Hehe looks like he’s lost it K4.” A green robed individual remarked “Oooh, look at him so scary, right? P42” The robed individual continued to tease.
“Right.” An enormous purple robed individual replied as he stepped out from the opening.
…
“You’re fighting with me, boy.” A tiny green robed individual with a childish voice stood directly before Arthur who tried to escape. However, before he could even run the person stood in his way.
“You friends? They’re preoccupied right now.” The four other trainees were also against tiny green robed individuals the same height as them. “If you don’t defeat us, you’ll never be able to make it back to them. Muahaha! The green robed individual laughed maniacally as he rushed directly at Arthur.
“You better block it.” The person said as he threw out a punch.
Bam!
Arthur was blown back from the punch in his attempt to block.
“Maybe you should’ve dodged it.” The green robed individual remarked as he walked up to the silver haired boy and pulled him back up on two feet. “Dodge it this time.”
Bam!
…
In less than five minutes an enraged voice could be heard coming from one of the portals.
“Boss! Enough!” Michael shouted. “I don’t want to see this anymore!”
“You’ve figured it out quite fast... I honestly thought you were done for after I burned them.” Boss calmly walked up to Michael who was struggling on his feet. The rage in the young man’s eyes was apparent as he glared back at Boss.
“What kind of training is this!?” Michael shouted. “What were we supposed to learn from this!?"
“How’d you figure it out?” Boss paid no mind to how angry Michael was and asked.
“What do you mean!? It was obvious!” Michael exclaimed. “K4!? P42!? Did you think I was stupid!? Did you think anyone is that stupid!?”
“Mhm, I did, that’s why I added those two.” Boss smirked. “If you think everyone figured it out, it’s been five minutes and only you and Shelly have called me out for this.” Boss pointed at the other three portals.
“Arthur is fighting children versions of the green robes, and they’re all green. Seth is running away from a green guy who I called P6 and Julie…she’s recklessly charging at the robed individuals even when everyone else is trying to calm her down because you died.”
Michael walked over and gazed into each one of them, the scenes were ridiculous the names were mismatched, the appearance of the robes were completely different, and just like his, it was easy for them to spot what was wrong.
“Tell me, do you think people are smart when thrown into a stressful situation? Do think they know clearly what’s real or fake?” Boss rolled his eyes at Michael. “This training is for them to get a glimpse of it.”
“But, do you have to do it like this!? To be that cruel to her!? You killed me off in front of Julie! You know what happens to us, why would you do that!?” Michael asked through gritted teeth, the anger within him started to boil.
“It’s all illusions anyways, are you that bothered by it?” Boss asked.
“YES! How can you even think of such a thing, is this what an immortal is!? Is this what being extremely old is like!? You’re playing with our humanity, you’re playing with our lives, did you not get that!?” Michael exclaimed.
“Yeah so what?” If you got a problem, then do something about it.” Boss sat back down and watched the portals. He picked up a tiny rock and tossed it inside Seth’s portal causing the young man to escape from where he was hiding. “He’s over there P6!”
Michael angrily glared at Boss who had completely ignored his presence afterwards. He really wanted to give this boy in front of him a piece of his mind, but he knew he was helpless.
Boss casually lifted up another rock from the pile besides him and tossed it inside the portal, landing again besides Seth who had to run again from his pursuers. “He sure knows how to run and hide.” Boss muttered.
Another rock appeared in Boss’ hand as he tossed it up and down. He was waiting for Seth to hide again before throwing it in.
Michael couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “This freaking asshole!!” Michael inwardly exclaimed; he was seething with rage as he glared at Boss who was waiting for Seth to hide again. Michael’s eyes darted back and forth between the rock in Boss’ hand and the portal.
“Ah, hiding again? Not for long.” Boss quickly caught the rock in his hand and motioned to throw it at the portal.
Michael quickly caught Boss’ hand, pulling the rock out and tossing it away.
“What’re you doing Michael!?” Boss angrily yelled at the young man in front of him.
“I’m going to do something about it.” Michael turned to Seth’s portal and rushed inside, his legs landing on the forested environment within.
“Heh, guess I don’t need to continue with these. Boss picked up the remaining rocks from the pile and scattered them across the ground.
“Training. Start.”

Supreme Formation Immortal Sovereign
Falling under the Heavenly Tribulation, Ascending Celestial Oalur Kang finds that he's back in the past. Watch him pursue the Heavenly Path of Formations and rise to the peak of the Immortal Path! . . . . . . . . . Hello, this is F-Rank! This is my take on writing cultivation stories. Though I'm sure nobody cares, the intent behind this story was focused on creating a more or less logical cultivation system. I read several stories where the mc transmigrated to a cultivation world (not calling names to avoid unnecessary angst) and was able to completely break the cultivation system and the logic of the world because they had the power of science on their side and were able to think more logically than everybody else. Despite the fact that some characters in those stories were older than the scientific method of thinking and even the human civilization as we know it and the whole society was older than our human race. So I decided to write a story where things about cultivation make sense (as far as a magical world full of super magical people can make sense), so here we are. I don't know if I will be able to fulfil this purpose but I hope that the story will end up enjoyable. Can also be considered a prequel for my other story "Wasn’t my new life in a magical world supposed to be easy?" but has very little overlapping content and can be read as a stand alone story.
