《Offworld》Worthy Opponent 2

“Bastard!”
The cloaked figure cursed at me but didn't make any other moves and just stared at me in anger.
“What are you looking at? Did my appearance captivate your heart so you now want to swear allegiance at me?”
*silence*
“Then I’ll take that as a no.
Well then I have let you recover long enough so it’s about time to get up.”
Water Art: Water Bullet
*bang*
The attack didn't hit the cloaked man at all and he turned into a black haze and seemed to be trying to escape.
“Hehe, bad move...
*bam*
“Ugh...
The cloaked figure was hit by a rock and couldn’t maintain his technique so he hit the ground and did a few rolls.
“BASTARD....
He shouted at the top of his voice while looking at the person who threw the rock.
“Good job!”
I gave Munnji thumbs up and he just smiled while looking at the cloaked figure on the ground.
“You owe me one.”
“Right, right...
After this battle we will go celebrate with a big feast.”
*whoosh*
The cloaked figure tried to run again but I was tired of his attempts at running so I decided to start the fight.
“Spear Art: Wave Slicer “
*pshhhh*
A long and thin blade of water shoots out of my spearhead and hit the cloaked figure.
*bam*
He hit the ground again.
“FU*CKING PEST...
If you want to die so badly ill grant you your wish.”
*pshhh*
He released his elemental aura without restraint and lounged at me with the same technique he used on the commander.
“Bring it bi*ch.”
The cloaked figures speed was great, greater than mine but that was not his natural speed but the result of an elemental technique.
*whoosh*
He disappeared from my field of vision but that was not a problem. From the fight between the commander and the cloaked figure I had gained some insight on the mechanics of the cloaked figure technique. He used the element of darkness to make himself lighter and by result faster. This was evident if you listened hard enough you would notice that the commanders steps were deafening in comparison to the cloaked figure.

......
This technique raised his speed exponentially but with his decreased weight making his attacks became weaker and that’s why even though the commander couldn’t retaliate he still managed to still be alive until now. His armour almost completely nullified the opponent’s physical attacks and the only substantial injury he received was from the attack at the elbow which had injected dark elemental energy into his body. All in the entire commander was okay.
Another flaw with the technique was that because of the decrease in weight the strength of his attack was weaker so he couldn’t make any real powerful moves. His main mode of attack seemed to be shallow slashes at the opponent, repeatedly. This mode of attack wasn’t very deadly especially for elementalists whose vitality was much higher than that of normal people ,but that weakness was covered by the dark elements power of decay (in humans it was loss of vitality, muscle degeneration and in bad cases aging very rapidly). A successful attack from a dark elementalist was very bad for any living beings (except the ones who cultivated in the element of nature or light).
His lack of strong physical attacks was totally overshadowed by his strong magical attacks.
....
“Die...
The cloaked figure appeared to my side and I had no time to make any defensive moves...*smile* but that didn't mean I couldn’t make any evasive moves.
“Water Art: Geyser Step “
*bang* *whoosh*
I flew backwards by two meters evading the slash without any damage and the cloaked figure having not hit anything, awkwardly continued his forward momentum. My “Water Art: Geyser Step “which I had prepared in advance was the perfect counter for this situation. I evaded the attack and now was at the perfect position for a counterattack.
“Huuuu...
I activated one of my main four spear techniques.

“Spear Art: Drizzling Rain “
This technique released pressurised jets of water from the pip of my spear each time I thrust it forward. It was used for fast or multiple foes and although it wasn’t that strong it gave me the time to activate other techniques that were more powerful. This technique originated from the waster jet technique I used to cut the sword shapes on the steel sheet.
I immediately got into a stance with my spear forward and gathered water elemental energy at its tip until it turned sky blue before I thrust the spear forward repeatedly in quick succession. I wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip by. My slippery opponent was finally where I wanted him to be.
*phew phew phew phew phew phew phew phew phew phew *
“Gah...
*bam*
Several of the water jets hit the cloaked figure but it was a clone. The cloaked figure had used the same trick on me as he used on the commander but that made me happy instead of angry.
“I hope you won’t disappoint me.”
“Dark Art: Dark Edge “
A sharp long blade of darkness came from above and I retaliated with my own attack.
“Spear Art: Wave Cutter “

Follow Max on his journey through space, through time, through space again, meeting people, going places, and doing things. All the nouns. Note About myself: I am only a hobbyest writer. I hope the internet doesn't expect novel level content from me. I have seen what others on the internet, and even more so this website, can produce and aspire to reach their level. I have no Idea what will come of this, but it should at least be a fun experience for all involve. The writing improves gradually as the chapters go on. I invariably learn some stuff after writing a bunch, finding what works and what doesn't. I definately need to work on paceing and dialouge and flow. Those are the three main goals for now. **Chapter lengths float around the 2300 to 2500 word range as of current chapter Thank you and happy reading.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]
