Lich Raid | part 3
Elizabeth and Balrus fought the Tyrant together, the soldiers and adventurers got as far away as they could.
*BOOMM!* *BOOMM!*
Elizabeth moved at hypersonic speed as she attacked the Tyrant from all sides. She was impressed with the speed of this monster, which was very close to hers, being able to surpass her in a few moments.
The Tyrant's claws emit a greenish glow. Elizabeth noticed the change.
The Tyrant attacked Elizabeth with its claws, but she blocked the attack with her sword.
'Tsk! I need to eliminate this monster soon.'
*Roar!*
The monster opened its mouth and fired a sphere of greenish energy at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth retaliated with a massive ice stake.
*BOOMM!*
When the green sphere exploded, green liquids began to spread in all directions.
'Is that… acid?' Elizabeth already suspected that this monster had some special ability. It looks like it could produce acid.
'Now-'
She thought the monster had finished its attack, but she was wrong.
The Tyrant charged more energy spheres and began to shoot wildly in all directions.
*BOOMM!* BOOMM!*...
Elizabeth made an ice shield to protect her. The acid was potent enough to melt the ice shield.
Balrus also made a magic shield to protect himself from attacks.
The adventurers and soldiers that were far away ended up being hit by the acid residue and had to remove their equipment immediately. Some even ended up with some part of the body injured.
*Roar!!*
The monster stopped spitting acid and returned to a melee attack.
*Ding!*
The sword and the claw clashed. Elizabeth this time counterattacked differently. She used her wind element as it was faster than ice.
*Slash!*
The air blades sliced through the monster's body, causing injuries despite being superficial.
'Ice clones.'
Elizabeth made 2 ice clones. The 2 ice clones attacked the Tyrant.
The Tyrant tried to destroy the clones with its claws, but that was exactly what Elizabeth wanted.
The ice clones exploded and froze the Tyrant's paws. The Tyrant was surprised and ended up having no chance to fight back. He activated his acid to melt the ice.
"Balrus!"

Balrus created chains that held the Tyrant to the ground.
*Roar!*
The tyrant began to squirm, trying to break the chains.
"Elizabeth-Sama, I won't be able to hold him for long!" Balrus exclaimed.
Now was his chance.
Elizabeth charged all her energy. She would use her strongest attack and kill this monster.
The area around Elizabeth began to freeze. The ambient temperature was already below 0 degrees. The icy mana commented to permeate through the air, causing the adventurers and soldiers to shiver.
Elizabeth focused her mana on her sword. Her sword could empower spells. In addition to being a very good mana conductor.
When the blade was covered in a blue glow, Elizabeth buried it in the ground.
...
"Ice age!!"
*BOOOMMM!*
An icy iceberg stretched into the sky, completely freezing the Tyrant.
The adventurers and soldiers turned pale as they saw the 500-meter iceberg stretching towards the sky. They had never seen anything so grand. They didn't expect the difference between them and Elizabeth to be so huge.
*Heavy breathing!*
"So it's over?" She didn't expect to have to use her strongest spell, but that monster wouldn't be defeated without it. She also had to end the fight quickly, because that monster might end up using some weird ability.
'Are these monsters of any race?' She had never seen such a monster.
…
"Elizabeth-Sama, you did very well." Balrus praised her.
"Thanks, I think we better leave." She didn't have much energy left, and it would be dangerous to stay here.
"...Elizabeth-Sama, why the hurry?"
"Can't you see that-"
*SLASH!*
"Arrgh!" Elizabeth looked down at the knife stuck in her stomach with an expression of pain and confusion.
"You… what do you think… what are you doing?!" She tried to get away from Balrus, but dark chains pinned her body to the ground.
*Bam!*
Elizabeth tried to free herself from the chains releasing energy from her, but it was useless. She was almost exhausted.
"Why the hurry, Elizabeth-Sama?" Balrus took the mask off his face. Her skin started to peel. Not just her face, her entire body felt like it was rotting away.

"You will be here forever. All of you will." Now skeletal in appearance and a dark cloak, Balrus flashed a smile.

"Balrus… you- no, you're not the Balrus! what did you do with balrus?!" Elizabeth exclaimed.
"Hahahaha. Silly child, Balrus hasn't been alive very long." The Lich had stolen this body even before Elizabeth started this mission, it turns out that when the duke sent experts to kill the Lich, he also sent Balrus. The problem was that Balrus wasn't very strong when compared to the other members of his group. The lich took this opportunity to steal Balrus' body. However, he paid a heavy price for it. His soul was badly damaged and lost a lot of power.
The Lich's purpose in doing so was to escape. His location was constantly being discovered by the temple of light. With a human body, he would have a good chance of getting through the barrier of light that covered the city of Stormwind. After entering Stormwind city, he would use the city's portals to escape. However, he abandoned this plan the moment he received a call from the Duke saying that Elizabeth would go after the Lich (him). Upon learning that Elizabeth would come after him, he came to this town and let her location be discovered. Facilitating everything for the temple of light.
"Your soul is so tasty, I can't wait to have it to me." The Lich said. He abandoned everything just to have Elizabeth's soul, that's because her soul seemed to have a special energy.
'How fascinating!' He had never seen anything like it.
'This isn't just royal blood. What the hell is this girl?'
The Lich had an item that allowed him to see people's souls. Elizabeth's soul emitted such a grand glow.
"I'll kill you!" Elizabeth tried to release more energy to break out of the chains.
"Just be quiet and accept your fate. In the meantime…" The lich looked at the soldiers and adventurers in the distance.
The soldiers and adventurers began to tremble. They wanted to run away, but the Lich was giving off the pressure that left their bodies paralyzed.
"Don't worry, I won't kill you with my bare hands." Several magic circles began to appear on the ground. The circles covered the entire city. The town was small, so the Lich had no problem setting up these magic circles. Of course, he'd done that in advance.
"Not just you, the souls trapped in this place. I'll get them all for myself."
*Screams of agony!*
The remaining souls in the city began to scream as the magic circles were created.
"Stop!" Elizabeth looked around for a certain person.
'Did he… run away?…' Elizabeth didn't even notice that Aizen wasn't among the adventurers. She was so focused on finishing this mission…
'Not afraid of death, huh.' She cursed Aizen mentally. She wasn't mad that he had run away, she was mad that he had lied to her. Even though they had only recently met, she enjoyed talking to him. But now, he had run away and left everyone behind, and he claimed not to be afraid of death. She found this attitude extremely cowardly.
'Should I wear this?' The duke would not let Elizabeth come here unprepared. She had a teleportation item that could get her out of here.
"Do not even think about it." The Lich looked at Elizabeth with a smile. He took an item out of his sleeves and threw it on the floor.
A dark dome was formed around the city.
"W-What?!" Elizabeth was shocked to see that the Lich had a space interference item.
"I know very well how rich that duke is. I hope your soul is good, this space interference item was the only one I had…"
*Screams of agony!*
"Now… all die!" The Lich decided to activate the spell.
"Stop!!"
…
…
"Uh?!" The Lich looked around confused. Why hadn't the spell activated?
"I imagine you're looking for this." Aizen said while holding a green crystal in his hand.
"You should be more careful with your things."
