《The Price of Wishing》The Hunt

Prendre walked into the town slowly. He was in no hurry. The scent on the air let him know he was close. He had lost the smell for quite some time. He had started to worry about Davis being killed by something else.
As he entered, a crowd gathered to welcome him. He was well known as a follower, even though it was in name only. He sided with Kain because they shared enemies, but if given a chance he would rip the heart out of the pretend Prince-ling.
The crowd put some gems around his neck, gave him free food (which was neither fresh nor bleeding but he accepted it) and then they began to do something really annoying...talk to him.
They told him about an escaped bird, a living light. Many of them swore that the old man had been busy while it flew off, that he could not have freed it himself. Prendre studied the old man. He was weak and slow looking, he cowed under Prendre's gaze. A coward.
"You are free to go," he told the man. "If I see the bird, I shall eat it."
And so judgement was passed. The man cried and many others pouted, but none of them objected because they knew it was fair. Prendre didn't care an inch about either the man or bird. He only cared about the chase.
Then one of them told him something useful.
Some of them, before arriving, had spotted another of his prey. His true prey.
"Jace," he said, tasting the name of his prey.
It was a soft name for such a monster, such a killer. But then again, that was how the beast killed; softly.
Then he caught a scent.
It was very, very close.

Davis froze behind the wall. His blood ran cold through his racing heart. The quick shallow breaths burned his lungs.

He had known his smell would be somewhat disguised by the mingling scents of the marketplace. He had just wanted to find out if Prendre had known they were there and found out something worse.
He knew where Jace was.
He returned to the others and nearly ran into Anbel as he walked out through the door.
"Careful!" said the boy, lifting a huge stack of balls held together with rope and wire. "This thing could go off at the slightest bump!"
Then the world shifted.

Loose Talk Around Tables
Just outside of Hometown, down the road a ways, a lonely, middle-aged woodworking monster lives alone in an old house. Still moving past his own troubles in life and taking his typical two shots of whiskey a day at his favorite bar and grill, he suddenly notices one late night that someone just across the road has troubles of her own- a rough-looking girl named Susie. Takes place in the world of Toby Fox's Deltarune, the spiritual successor to his game Undertale.

8 96Gods and Men: A litRPG Adventure
Hi, my name's Bart but you can call me whatever you want. Anyway, I don't want you to click away from this. Yeah, that's right, follow the sound of my voice and continue reading. Bet you want to know how I got stuck inside of the internet don't you. Well, it is a long and tragic tale that starts very simply. With the release of a game. Not just any game mind you, it was the release of the first ever full dive VRMMORPG, cliche sounding I know but bear with me as I thought the same thing. Any explanation on how it was released is beside the point just know that it was and I, just as any self-respecting gamer would be was extremely fucking hyped for it. The game was called 'Legend Has It' and the allure was that you would get to play as a god or spirit and interact with a vibrant world of NPC's. So I began to play, eager to experience this for myself, little did I know my life would change forever. So sit back, relax and let me regale you on how I got myself stuck in this predicament, for it starts with a boy, a game and a battle between gods. Ominous I know, let's get started.

My take on the "another world" genre. This is also my first fiction, so expect mistakes... Updates every sunday (at least. I might update more than one time a week if I feel like it). Every update will have around 2.000 words (at least for now).

8 219Life Once Again
Again, he must live life once again. But this time it's different. He had never repeated a life in a world that had housed him prior. With all the knowledge he had accumulated across realities, what would that mean for the world he once again visits? This is the first time I'm writing something. I've always daydreamed scenarios and finally got the courage to put one of them to paper. This will be a way to flex my nonexistent writing muscles, or to try and see if I even have any.
