《The Putrid Assassin (Complete)》Chapter #13

When I went back to the graveyard for guard duty I made sure to go early so I could get there before noona. I deployed the mirror cube and walked in and out of it so figure out its effective range and it was about 6 feet. Any closer and your eyes would catch the empty space. I stayed there and watched noona walk up the path. It was odd because this time she was wearing a skirt this time. She walked up and stopped pretty close to where I was standing. I decided to surprise her but first I laid on the ground and looked up her skirt. The curve of her butt was like a gentle slope and I could see green fabric underwear. I stood up, patted myself off, and unactivated the cube. She heard the noise and turned around faster then I have ever seen her move.
"What a nice night it is noona" I spoke
"Hey brat where did you get a cloaking item you need a specialist to get that type of item?" She replied quite flustered
Ignoring her I asked " you look even prettier in a skirt its a shame you always hide beneath a robe all the time"
She twisted her body so slightly and raised her hand to comb her hair out from beneath her hood.
"It's not my body I hide it's my eye. But regardless we need to give you a real name. I think I will call you dax."
She was being different today but I decided not to mention it as I bid her farewell and walked down the path to my post.
I pulled out my map and compass and plunged into the forest for another night my goal this time was the paralysis flower they grew a little deeper in the forest then the tart flower in a hidden meadow. I followed the map through the forest.

There were a few spring snakes and demonic boars I had to run away from but they hadn't developed intelligence yet so they weren't that to hard to run away from or avoid.
I arrived at the hidden valley it was sunk into the ground with a lake in the middle and surrounded by dense forest. I was so glad I had gotten info or I could have easily lost my life stumbling around in this forest.
I deployed the cube around me and started to scan the valley for the paralysis flower and hidden dangers.
There was a faint rumble on the ground. What kind of huge beast is coming I thought as a shadow of fear crept over my heart.
From a crevice that entered the forest a pack of demonic boars charged into the valley and made their way towards the lake in the middle. They all started to drink from the lake. It was sparkling clear and had a small amount of diluted liquid quix in it.
Everything was peaceful until suddenly one of the pigs started squealing and was dragged toward the water by some invisible force.
The other boars started to try and help it. This was my moment I stepped out of the cube dashed down the side of cliff and grabbed two paralysis flowers and ran back up and stepped into the cube again.
While I was stashing away the herbs I glanced back at the pond and saw two boars struggling at the edge of the lake and the water was dyed red from the first boar.
I grabbed the cube and dashed through the forest I didn't bother to avoid the snake area as it now seemed like the safest area in the forest.
How were those creatures getting dragged toward the water I couldn't understand. There was a thump and I looked down and a snake had bitten into my boot in my lapse of attention.
It didn't penetrate luckily so I kicked it off and sprinted out of the forest.
The rest of my guard shift went by uneventfully.
I walked down the path to the entrance of the graveyard.
She was there waiting for me at the entrance. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the flower and said
"This is for you noona"

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.

Point of View
Adrian Shepherd is alive in Santa Monica. Successfully fleeing from the target zone of a nation-wide terroristic threat was not easy, nor did it come free. Adrian had to abandon parents who turned deaf ears, but even more heart-crushing was leaving behind someone who meant the world to Adrian, someone who he had shared his whole life with. Now, he survives with broken memories chasing him. Confliction turns him from wanting to live and wanting to die. Guilt wretches him as he craves the forgiveness he can never have. Maybe tomorrow will bring a brighter day, or maybe more problems. **Cover Photo is Temporary** **I would say the story has light gore and traumatizing events, to the point that I originally didn't check the content warnings. Be advised.**
