《Primordial Dimensions》Title [Berserk-Hunter]

Hours passed and it was already afternoon when Shane hunted seven more berserk mountain boars.
In total, Shane killed 8x2nd-Wild adolescent mountain boars and 18x3rd-Wild matured mountain boars, while not a single mid-Wild stage mountain boar had been scouted by him.
Umbra was still looking around interested, but he couldn't really help out, as his strength was way too weak for even the adolescent mountain boars.
There had only been one time Umbra helped out slightly, as it manifested a thin shadow attributed needle to attack a berserk mountain boar, piercing its eyes, saving Shane from sustaining an injury.
Before that, Shane didn't even know that Umbra was able to do that, because his affinity was the lowest-basic and he was only at the peak of the 1st-Wild stage which was almost nothing.
But it was fortunate for him and after this happened, Shane tried to figure out a fighting style that included Umbra's help, even though it would only help by a marginal degree.
He was about to go back to the shelter when he suddenly saw a large group of more than 10 mountain boars with four female mountain boars, five younglings, and two male mountain boars.
Looking at this large group, Shane felt that it would be nice to have four berserk mountain boars, but fighting against ten opponents at the same time seemed unreliable.
Deducting the weak force of the low-2nd Wild youngling boars which he could easily massacre with his physique and combat prowess, the only problem would be fighting four berserk mountain boars at the same time.
Shane also ignored the fact that two male mountain boars were present as the only threat coming from the whole group were berserk beasts.
Still, Shane wanted to give it a try as he had already imprinted the behavior, intelligence and common movement pattern mountain boars normally took once a brethren had been killed.
Furthermore, he roughly knew his surroundings after a few hours and there was a special place he could use and forming a plan in his mind, Shane began to smile widely.

Positioning himself, Shane sneaked closer to the larger group of mountain boars and circulating the mana inside his lower body, he pushed himself from the ground with fast strides, reaching a decent speed.
Appearing in the center of the grazing mountain boars without them noticing, Shane thrusted out with his dagger in a nimble and elegant manner before twisting his body to inflict serious injuries towards the mountain boar younglings that stood in the center to protect them.
Noticing a hostile being appearing amongst them, the matured mountain boars roared out enraged and noticed their offspring's blood splattering through the air which caused their mind to go blank as they heard a painful squeaking in front of them.
The male mountain boars charged at Shane but they had to stop in between, as the sole opponent in front of them was amongst their offsprings which laid on the ground with blood littering the ground.
Smiling lightly, Shane waited for a second, before he took out the prismarine-luminous crystal and injected mana into it caused a bright light to appear, dazzling the mountain boars around him.
Before long, the prismarine-luminous-crystal shattered, while Shane's mana was completely used up, but the bright shining light gave him enough time to escape out of the mountain boars' shallow guarded center.
Once the mountain boars could see again, they noticed Shane's disappearance and the life force in their offspring dissipating, which caused them to cry out in agony.
All four female mountain boars' hair stiffened, while their eyes turned red, causing the male boars to be intimidated.
Looking around in their berserk state, they noticed Shane far away waving at them.
All six mountain boar's were infuriated by him and they mindlessly charged at him.
If they had even the tiniest speck of intelligence in their small brain, they would have noticed that Shane jumped across a four-meter width cliff that was difficult to see without looking carefully around.
The cliff was slightly less than 15 meters deep 50 meters long and only four meters wide and without caring about anything except Shane the murderer of their offsprings, they charged straight at him.

Once they were five meters apart from him, a sane male mountain boar noticed that there was a three-meter width cliff between them but with their speed, they couldn't stop their charge.
As such it tried to jump across the cliff but with its short leg and heavyweight, the male mountain boar was barely able to cross a distance of two-meter before it's smashed into the wall down below, falling down the cliff, breaking its legs and many more bones in its body.
Six loud THUMPS could be heard and Shane had to be fast as the possibility for the mountain boars to die before he arrived was definitely present because bones piercing through internal organs was not something to scoff at.
Descending the cliff, Shane arrived at the ground within a minute, and seeing the berserk mountain boars struggling to stand up, he could only smile apologetically.
Seeing him, they roared in pain and wrath but they knew everything was over when Shane pierced at the nearest male mountain boar that was close to them.
They could never accept this outcome, as such, they still tried everything in their power to injure their opponent even though it was hellish painful.
Unfortunately, most of their bones were shattered and they couldn't even move around freely anymore when Shane ended their life with a clean cut through their neck, dissipating their lifeforce.
KIlling the third berserk mountain boar within this group the long-awaited mechanical voice resounded in his head
[Host killed 10 berserk beasts and is rewarded with the title [Berserk-Hunter(F)
Grants Skill [Berserk(F)] as long as the title is selected.]
But Shane had no time to celebrate, as there was still a berserk mountain boar and another male mountain boar left alive.
Ending their lives, Shane stored them within his store, before he climbed up the small cliff once again to store the youngling mountain boars away.
While climbing up the cliff, Shane looked at the message he received, and before long, he inspected the skill he received through his newly obtained title.
[Berserk(F)]: Strength, mana circulation, and mana-outburst increase by 10%, for 10 seconds.
3 uses/day
Right after reading through the description, Shane was disappointed because he dreamed about an OP skill, but after rereading it multiple times, it could still be considered a decent ability.
Fighting against an opponent with the completely same combat prowess, this skill could immediately change the outcome, as not only his strength but also his mana circulation and mana-outburst increased.
Right now, he could only use the increase in mana circulation and strength thanks to him not owning an affinity or skill which required his mana outburst.
Considering the 10% and 10 seconds, Shane found it sufficient for one of the easiest obtainable titles, and thinking about the things one could do in 10 seconds, he thought it might even be labeled as above average, while the 10% increase in all aspects was at most average.
After he stored the carcasses inside his store and occupied the last spot of his store with the youngling corpses, Shane went back to the shelter, where he arrived an hour later.
Entering the shelter, the first thing Shane did, was searching for a hotel, where he would sleep tonight!
Paying 50 bronze coins, Shane went inside and locked the door to force himself not to go outside, because he had a bad feeling that he would once again sleep somewhere else.
Slithering out of his robe, Umbra hissed, demanding food, which Shane took out of the spatial ring, after washing his dirty hands and the completely brown face, he noticed within the reflection of the water.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

A Forgotten Hero
(author: This is gonna be a long synopsis I apologise. This should be a prolouge but as you will see I have a seperate prolouge, please forgive me. This fiction as a warning beforehand is as basic as it comes, prettymuch following all story conventions of both the mecha and school life genres. I am mostly writing this to figure out my writing style before I begin something truly creative and uique. I dont wanna ruin something I worked hard on by being illiterate. Also illustrations are at a minimum because all I have access to is MS paint.) In the year 2028 humanity (accidentally) created the means to travel great distances through space in a short period of time. This has led humanity down the road of great technological advancement and also led to the spread of humanity across their home system and just begiining first steps upon other solar systems planets. In the year 2033 the human colonies in space broke from the chains of their old countries creating hyper advanced societies disregarding nationality and any other defining factor. Two space societies formed the Solar Empire a monarchic society with its capitol on the moon Titan which controeld the entire human home system aside from Earth which still remained divided into seperate contries. The other was the Extra-solar Leauge. A mysterious society outside of easy contact range with any other humans besides themselves. To help with construction and other work outside of sealed and breatheable atmospheres of their cities and ships the Solar Empire and Extra-Solar Leauge created what became known as Advanced Movement Shells(AMS). These machines are best described as huge exoskeletons or "mechs", and they aided greatly in getting things done by increasing strength, durability, and the amount of tools able to be used. They also aided in quelling rebellions among extremist groups forming in these new societies. Finally in the year 2050 the Solar Empire having divinated their emperor, and now beliving themselves to be their religions chosen people, the Solar Empire declared a holy war of conquest against all the nations of Earth in order to conquer it under the idea that all humanity was required to bend to their divine emperors rule. The first month of the war whent badly for earth as the divided nations fell one by one due to the Empires superior weaponry among other technologies which made their forces nearly invincible. The AMS were used to great effect due to their almost "magical" level of technological advancement. Some nations able to put up some kind of defense created their own versions of these technological terrors. From there the war became a brutal stalemate and suddenly was won by the forces of earth. Why this is still hasn't come to the light of the common man, but one thing is for certain it took a heroic effort from one, or many people to win it for humanity...
