Throw down everything on the table I get in the capsule without a second thought. The first thing I say to Sandy is tell her to get me connect to Eternal Glory. She make a pouting face but then she let me connect anyway.

Actually my plan is quite simple. We are making 15 big scarecrows and pour some oil over it with a few wooden spear stick out of those. Under each scarecrow is a barrow wheel so we can move those easily. With me arrive, Bato and the elders let me know that they have done the preparing, thus we start the plan.

With me in the center, Bato on the left and a guy name Gus who is the best swordman in the village taken command the right flank. It seem they have a tradition that the best fighter always deploy on the right flank as it is honor to be there.

Each group having about 3 archers and 7 spearman/swordman. I tasked 3 archer and 2 swordman in each group to carry the scarecrows as we approach the wolf pack. Once we see them we can hear their howling and the wolf pack also prepare to engage. They starting to spread out try to en-circle us.

- Right now. Do it.

Under my command everyone charge and a torch lit up all 15 scarecrows at the same time. The blazing fire appear so sudden make the wolves unable to move. some of them scare of fire were taken a back and with that we able to divide them into 3 groups. The biggest one have a wolf with silver color hide while the rest are black or blood wolves. I take a guess that the silver one are their leader, trapping by the surrounding fire the main group unable to move while the 2 smaller group having 5 and 7 black wolves. We switch all 9 archers and 4 spearman to cover the biggest group. Archers rain arrows over them while the spearman station in the space that don't have fire to prevent any wolf jump out of the circle.

The rest of us gang up on the 2 smaller group outside the fire and make a quick work out of it. Wolf can be nimble and dangerous but once they are surrounded, panicked and heavily outnumber by us there isn't much they can do.

One of the last black wolf which already heavily wounded run straight toward me as a last ditch attack. Not even sure how did I do it as I was also scared at the same time I was excited. Look like somehow by reflex I able to thrust my spear right at the black wolf opening mouth as it charge toward me and end it's painful life.

Ignore those windows, I and the others keep up our assault on the few survired wolves.

Once we done with 12 wolves outside our encirclement of flame we start to surround the biggest group. Each one of us also bring along a few throwing spears so we start to throw them at the wolves. By the end of our raining attack with spear and arrow at least another 10 wolves died and the rest seem heavily wounded. Even the Silver wolf took one spear in it's back leg so it's movement seem not as good as before. The fire start to die down so we charge inside to kill the rest of them.

After the last minion wolf died and we surround the Silver one. Gus shout toward us:

- Leave him to me, it's too dangerous for you amateurs to attack it. Even wounded it can kill you guys with a single strike.

Hearing that we start to backing off and forming a bigger circle around Gus and the silver wolf. Some of us start to cheer for him but only by then I am able to take a good look at Gus. Before the fight I spend most the time with Bato on the farm and I not really speak with any villager so I don't really know much about them even after 1 week living among them.

Gus is a young guy about 25. He don't really have big muscle but they look refined and well distributed. He don't wear any armor, and the fact is none of us having any armor at all so it's a miracle that we able to handle the wolf pack without any big injury. His left hand holding a shield made from 2 big cardboard folding in a V shape with the V point out and a handle in middle of it. On his left is a long sword, which is at least 90cm. He taken a low stance while waiting for the Silver wolf to make it's first move.

The wolf was growling at him. But it seem it's eyes moving toward the circling men. Notice it's intention Gus yell out while using the sword side to hit the shield to make noise at the same time.

-That's will do you no good. We won't let you go and right now your opponent is ME.

Hearing that taunt the wolf switch it's attention back to Gus then leapt off the ground, straight at Gus.

Gus rolled to one side swiftly, and swung the sword. It's as if he already know what will happen and the sword hit the wounded leg in mid air. Once the silver wolf land on the ground it show obvious painful expression but immediately turn to Gus to attack again. This time again Gus avoid that attack and slash at the wolf.

After a while Gus stop hit the Silver wolf just let it attack until it's completely exhausted and he end it with a single stab.

As the fight end everyone of us start to cheer with real joy on our face. Even those being wounded make a smile as big as they can. We gather all the dead wolves body and return back to the village together with a winning cheer so big that the villagers can hear us from afar.

The next day, the wounded being treated inside the village hall while those can do work help out farmers to harvest the field since they are 2 days behind the schedule. We are no longer stranger since the last night battle make all of us become closer. Everyone smile at me when they see me.

- Great job, Eumenes.

- Your plan is so perfect, Eumenes.

- I heard that you even kill one of them? You are not only smart but also can become a warrior. Maybe I will introduce my daughter to you?

I can only smile back at them as this happen since we return to the village yesterday. Found out that only a few of us suffer minor injuries and no one die the mother or wife of those who go let out a happy cry while hugging their family. After that everyone start to behave like this toward me. At first i do refuse.

- No it's not. It's everyone hard fight and everyone try their best to be able to comeback. I didn't do anything.

But then Gus step out and said.

- Even if we can handle them. To fight 30 wolves with 30 man normally I would expect at least 10 of us suffer heavy injuries or died. No death and no big injury is something out of ordinary which shouldn't happen no matter how much we try ourselves. You should be proud of it as we are proud of having you with us.

With that the elder decide that we will go all out at the farm work today and having a winning party at night.

That night we had a big feast, everyone have their share. In the beginning of the party the elder called everyone to gather at the village hall to give a speech.

- It's the biggest victory ever that we able to gain. And that victory is all thank to our little hero "Stranger" Eumenes. From now on I officially recognized you as: "Eumenes of Pimado the little hero". You are no longer a stranger here, everyone here is your family. We know that one day you may go out of this small village to adventure like any "stranger" but you are always welcomed here.

Great '+5 all stats' is amazing consider how hard it is to grind them. But it seem that's not all, Gus step up next and begin his speech.

- Eumenes, you have proven that you only only smart but also a capable man by kill one of the wolf and save the lives of many in this village. I hereby award you the Silver wolf pelt and a Kopis sword.

It look like Gus did a good job at skinning the wolf and he able to keep most the hide intact by only attack the wounded leg back in the fight. I hold him in higher regard now as I know that he fought while trying to keep the valuable hide of the wolf from being damaged. Hell he even keep the wolf skull along with the pelt so I can use it like a helmet

The sword has a single-edged blade that angles forward slightly towards the point. It look like it's about 50cm length which it noticeable shorter than the villager's one.

- Why not? It's easy so come to my house tomorrow. I still have a few black wolf left that I didn't skin them since the hide was too damaged to use but it can be use as practice target.

It seem I didn't notice but during the wolf pack event no player able to come to the village nor they can start here. And from what i've learned most player move right away to big city after start the game to be able to access to jobs and skills that village don't have. Now that I think about it this village is a farming one and the only different job available here is being a hunter which at best only offer me to learn archery skill.

Then we move on with the feast, drinking, dancing, singing all night long. It's so much fun that I have never been able to feel like that in my entire life. As the feast go on I start to doze off so I log out to sleep.
