《Sun Collector》Chapter #57 Getting Stronger

"Ill see what i can do when I get back to the outpost," I said. With that, I ate some more of my grey fish. It tasted good the chef had done a good job cooking it. "Do you know if this fish has a special effect?" I asked. It's supposed to strengthen muscles that have to do with swimming. That was useless to me as the only place I had to swim was the ocean. And swimming in the ocean was suicide. It was still one hundred year fish so I continued to eat until my plater was empty. "Was that a good meal?" Clara asked me. "Yes it was very good" I responded.
"Let's go shopping today," Clara asked me. "What did you need to shop for?" I asked her.
"I need some new clothing lets to go see if there are any mana items at the shop."
She stood and wiped her mouth with her napkin."Im ready to go" She said. "Alright lets go" I said while grabbing her hand. She looked like a princess to me. We left the beautiful courtyard behind. We started to walk down the road. Eventually, we found are way to the center of the island wich was where the auction house and the market was located. We went into the auction house first. They were trying to sell a magic sword. It could flame and it came from the item outpost. I wanted to watch but clara said we had to go to the market. We walked from vendor to vendor mostly looking I saw a hairclip that looked like a fish. I bought it for clara as soon as I saw it I gave it to her.
"I didn't ger you anything." She said while being pouty. "Its alright your family has already given me more then enough."

"Okay did you see all the items that are for sale."
"Yes I did there are items and ability rings." Most of the ability ringss were to general to be of any interest to me. In one vendor I saw a shield tat could put up a magic wall when used in front of the user. The man selling it claimed it could even stop an arrow. I didn't want to buy it so I went and found clara she was thinking about getting me something. She bought me a sweet octopus dessert on a stick.
"Thats what I got for you because you got me this hairpin." Thank you I said while munching on the octopus. We went to sit in the auction house after that. They were selling all kinds of magic items. Mostly they were selling weapons. We watched as a spear that did freezing damage was sold off to one of the powerful families on the sandbar. That item must have come from the item crafting outpost.
After we were done at the auction house we walked our way home. I dropped clara off at her house and with a hug we parted ways. It almost felt like the two of us were dating when were not. I walked into my house while the sun went down.I curled up in bed and fell asleep.
The next day when I got up clara was waiting for me. "Lets go have breakfast at my house."
"Yes lets go." I said with the thought of how good last times food was. Whoever cooked it wasn't as good as the chef at the outpost but nearly as good. We held hands all the way to the gates of her courtyard we walked past two sentries and made our way to our normal chairs. With more grey fish on my plate I said "Lets eat". We both ate our food very fast it was delicious. We talked for a little while until I went back to my house and accumulated mana. I spent the whole day doing that and then I went to bed.

The next day when I woke up clara was standing there staring at me. "Why do you do this I asked her" she responded with "I do whatever I want
"Okay that's fine just know you must go to sleep before I do. "I dont actually require a lot of sleep now that my heart is beating stronger."
Of course she had a deep sea kings heart. She was that strong. "Lets go eat breakfast together " she reached out and grabbed my hand and pulled me out of my dirt courtyard. We walked and talked "Deep sea fishing was fun" I said when we got to our table that was partially hidden by bushes. There was swordfish on my plate. It looked tasty I let clara sit first and then I seated myself and started to dig in "Swordfish is even better then the grey fish" I said to clara.
"Yes I like it too its thinner meat that's more filling." We both ate until our plates were empty. "What are we going to do today Im going to the library to study maps. Do you want too come with me?" she made eye contact and said "yes I would like to."
"I stood pushed in my chair. I had come to be very fond of the table and waiting there with clara. We walked out past the gates and towards the library in town. "Why do you want to study maps?" I plan on going to the item outpost next. It seems like the place I want to go.
As we walked into the library clara didn't say anything. We got to the obelisk and I inserted one mana. With that I could see the map that the founder left and tried my best to memorize it. If I could do that it would make my future way easier. Clara stood with me a while before going home. I stood in place continuing to try to memorize the entire map. I knew I needed to have it memorized by the time I left.

Clearly, there must be some dark secret behind the success of these newcomers, and it’s up to the city’s true artists to find out what it is and expose the conspiracy!
