《Sun Collector》Chapter#32 Pouty

A bar seemed like a nice idea, but it was an idea for tomorrow.
I crawled under my covers and waited for sleeps dark embrace.
I got out of bed the next day and went straight to the bar.
I thought about picking up my food but I didn't want it getting stolen by someone stronger.
Hundred year food was enough to make someone point their dagger at me.
As soon as I got there I scanned the room.
A pair of beauties by the fire a few at the tables and one at the bar.
With one step after the other, I made my way to beside her.
"Bartender could I get some beer."
He turned around looked at me and then filled up a glass before handing it to me.
"So pretty lady, do you come here often?"
She turned and glanced at me with her pool blue eyes.
She was a beauty but not of the peerless sort.
Her jet black her fell on her oval face in a somewhat rugged manner.
Her most stunning feature was the contrast between her hair and her eyes.
"I have to forget about all the dangers while foraging."
I thought about making her a ring for just a second but food came first.
"So you're a forager? How many rings do you have?"
"I have two rings" She said while holding up two fingers
"Then you must be quite strong?"
Of course, she was strong anyone with two rings was strong.
"Ya, there both soulbound so I cant interchange them. But it's not like I want to get rid of them." She said
"Let me guess the first one is an escape technique and the second one is stealth," I said
"That's easy enough to guess," she said while shifting her figure.

There's something beautiful about the way a woman shifts her figure.
I had to leave I thought too myself.
I knew if I stayed any longer I might forget about my quest for revenge.
As I sipped the beer thoughts of staying in the outpost protected bubbled up into my head.
Beautiful women were a man's greatest hope and also his greatest weakness.
I didn't really want to figure out details about her life seeing as how I had to go back to the sandbar.
So I shot my shot.
"Do you wanna get out of here?" I asked
"No I'm alright" She responded curtly
Whatever I was the third most valuable person in the outpost I couldn't let this affect me.
I turned around and walked towards the fire where a bard had started playing. I sat down and started staring into the fire again.
The music seemed to drift over me while the ladies laughs echoed in my year.
With my power only working while I was outside I missed little moments like this.
I spent the rest of the day staring into the fire thinking about how I was going to improve my life.
I went home after the alcohol wore off, I hadn't even drunk that much.
It was easier to fall asleep at least.
The next day when I got up I remembered that I hadn't eaten the food that was cooked for me.
I went to the cafeteria first thing there were two meals waiting for me.
They were both hundred-year oxen, so it's not like I missed out two much.
I picked up the meals and decided to eat at the winery with morgan.
The beautiful part of morgan was nothing about her made me want to settle down with her.
She was like a butterfly that was happy resting on your finger for a short while.

As soon as I got there I walked through the winery and out to the back patio.
I knew she would come and find me if I showed my face and sure enough.
Out came a beautiful girl dressed in a black skirt.
It seemed to hug her figure in a beautiful way as she came towards me with a wine bottle in hand.
"I didn't expect to see you back here so soon"
"Well, I just felt like drinking wine today."
"Hopefully not dragon wine" She teased with a light smile
I didn't even feel like trying to get benefits today.
"I'll trade you some food for some ordinary wine"
"Deal," She said
I passed the food and she poured us both some wine.
She didn't seem startled at the food and didn't mention anything.
That's why I liked her she was smart.
I drank wine and ate my food and stared at the sunset in silence.
"Look at this I learned a new way to use my ring sun collector"
She stood up and did a twirl in front of me.
It reminded me of a beautiful butterfly emerging from a flower.
I clapped "very beautiful indeed," I said
As she came back she said, "Since you gave me a ring that means we're married and you have to bring me presents."
"Sorry ill only be able to bring you very few presents."
She pretended to make a pouty face.

Soldier First
Soldier First will be shifting to a monthly update schedule while I work out some kinks in the plot. BRS Limited is looking for answers after the genius programmer behind a radical new biotechnology goes on the run with their intellectual property. After an awkward period of amnesia during a mission in Africa, Butcher is looking for answers of his own. So he reluctantly agrees to let the enigmatic company use him as a test subject while he tracks down the mind behind the technology. Butcher doesn't really understand this talk of "stats", "skills" and "classes", though, and the deeper her digs, the stranger things become. Because even as Butcher changes, he realizes that the world around him is also changing in ways that only he can see, but which could have terrifying consequences for the whole planet. This story is a work in progress and subject to frequent revisions.

Using her cherrywood Les Paul guitar as a weapon against evil, Gumi also pursues a more pressing agenda -- sending deserving souls to Hell where they belong. Everything starts going wrong when VioLinja -- a violinist with a God Complex -- is allowed to join the band. A very big God Complex. Thanks to VioLinja, Gumi must set Hell loose upon the world she sought to save. Alone and half alive, without her bandmates or her best friend, Gumi struggles to contain the havoc VioLinja wreaks. Things start going right when a mysterious, sea-faring man who goes by the acronym of T.O.P. comes to Gumi's rescue. Aboard his research ship in the Sea of Okhotsk, T.O.P. helps Gumi prepare for her final battle against VioLinja's reign of terror. * * * * * * * * * * * * The VocaLords is written as if it were a series of thirty minutes animes. Each Episode will consist of a sixty second teaser, followed by three to five chapters of about ten minutes reading time apiece. Each Episode will also contain one or two songs I have written personally, with the lyrics incorporated into the storyline. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I have had with writing it.

The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
