《The Upgrade System》The Ultimate MArtial Arts Technique
Advertisement
The text was describing a martial art technique called [i don't have a name for the skill].
The skill was mainly about luck and everything it had to offer was better if your luck was better. If your luck was dog's shit it wouldn't even work.
The skill used your luck to weaken your enemies.
If you had a normal luck, after fighting the enemy for 5 minutes, you could weaken him by 0-3%, effect will take place again after 25 minutes next.
For the skill to weaken the enemies by 10% that will be the same as using all your luck for the month.
For the skill to weaken the enemies by 20%+
It would take a miracle. Each time your enemies gets weakened the time to reactivate the skill will be multiplied.
The percentage of weakening could differ to what is shown cause of your luck. I didn't had to learn the skill as it was transferred to my skill tab, I was looking forward to try out the skill on my enemies as this could make them weaker by some percentage. I stood up and look around to see if I missed anything in the room.
Looking through every inch of the room to find something that could important or useful, but the room had only the skill imprinted on one of the walls and nothing else.
My stay in the room wasn't long, as the skill was learnt by the system the moment I finished reading it.
I stepped outside of the middle room and started walking towards the last room, which probably held the corpse of the of the immortal cultivator.
I reached the last room and pushed the door open.
The room looked similar to the rest of the rooms, empty and brown but in this room there was another thing that stood out the moment you enter the room, it was that there was a coffin in the middle of the room.

I came closer to the to he coffin and started to moving the the top of the coffin of.
Inside the coffin I saw a young boy that was probably the same age as mine. I looked at his face and was enchanted into it.
Feeling what was happening to me I felt rage and disgusted.
I felt rage cause how fucking handsome this person was and felt disgusted cause I lost my focus cause of his looks.
Throwing both of the feeling at least 1000000km away from myself, I started to look at his body for anything interesting,
Looking around I saw I saw 2 things that stood out on his body.
First one being another spatial ring on his hand and second being a mysterious looking arm ring.
I tried to take out the the spatial ring out of his hands but the moment I tried was sent to another whole different place that had a stair case going up.
I was scared shitless the moment I was transported here and started to think millions upon millions of bad stuff that could happen to me but before I could do anything I heard a voice.
"It seems that somebody has finally found my body?"
"Who are you" I asked with a shaky voice
"I'm the person you just tried to steal from".
The word entered my ears and my body started shaking as I knew I would die if something doesn't happen right now and save me.
Seeing that I was shaking the voice said "Don't worry I won't do anything to you, only if you pass my test".
"What is your?", I said with a trembling voice
The voice came back and said "just try to climb the stair behind me as far as you can".

What freak how is that supposed to even be a test, I can climb thousandths of this stairs in an hour and your calling it a test, I thought to myself.
Walking arrogantly towards the stairs, I stepped on the first the step mockingly and tried to climb the stair but the moment I stepped on the stair I felt my body double my weight. I felt at first and nothing else so I continued with the climbing.
Similar I didn't feel that much except that my weight was now around 600kg.
I counted the steps from the start till now and counted 9 stairs, I didn't care as this weight was nothing for me as I could do the same for at least another 100 step but the moment I stepped on the 10 step, I felt my weight sky rocket from around 600kg to 6000kg.
The weight wasn't a joke as I couldn't walk properly for a bit before I got used to it.
I took another step and it increased by 1000 kg, this time I couldn't handle as I nearly fail backwards, I quickly stabilise my self and stood equally on my front and back of my feet. The weight increase caused my legs to tremble slowly but I tried to get control over my legs and took another step while being ready for the increase in weight that was going to come after I take the step.
"Badamp" the moment I took the next step I fell in the floor and nearly fell back words but luckily the blocks for each stair was big enough to hold three people standing back to back.
I tried to stand up but couldn't even move an inch from where I was sitting. As I was trying to mover one inch towards the 11th step, I felt a sudden increase in my power, I looked at my dantain and tried to see if the strength change was real.
I look at my dantain to see that it was now at 10%/5000%. I felt joy from seeing that 9.1% increase which motivated to move more and try to go at least another step.
I tried to move again but this time I could move an inch or more around.
I continuously tried to move for who know how long and felt at least 5 times but I didn't check my dantain and continued with my slow packed moving and right now I was nearly on the next stage but I couldn't get up and move.
I tried to get up hella lot but I couldn't move my legs at all, without thinking about anything I moved my upper body towards the 11th step but the moment my upper body went on that side, I felt my body going up and my upper body increase 1000kg.
The moment I put my upper body on that side I felt my power increase but this time it felt like a breakthrough.
I look at my dantain see that now it was 120%/5000%

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
