I stopped thinking about how many monsters I had to kill and started to think about if I should kill rank 1 or 2 muscle refinement stage. While thinking about it non-stop I came up with a solution which was to at first kill rank 1 monsters to get used to them after getting used to them I'll fight rank 2 monsters, to temper my body.

I walked for a couple of minutes before I reached my house and I entered the small house. I entered the room to only be exposed to the aroma of food coming from the table, in the middle of the house.

I said "hi" to Lucy and went and sat on the chair to eat my lunch and get ready to start the mission the second I finished eating my food. As I was eating the food delightfully Lucy came to the table and sat on the opposite side of me while eating her food.

She looked at me then asked "What mission did you pick?" I took out the mission paper and gave it to her.She took a few second to read the whole thing, after she finished, she looked at me and said, "We are not doing this mission, you're not even rank 1 muscle refinement stage". I look at her than I say to the system "release my aura". As I released my aura the whole room started shining red as the grey and violet aura was released.

Lucy looks at me dumbfounded and starts to ask me, "When I did your bro Broke through and became a cultivator".

"It happened like 1 month ago, after I was injured by the bear".

She then looks at the violet, grey aura and asks, "what's up with your aura, don't you get an aura when you break through qi refinement stage".

I started to get nervous and try to come up with an excuse that I could tell her and get out of this situation.

I was trying to pick one of the answers but none of them were believers, it's the same as saying I threw a bait in the river to catch a fish but I caught a Phoenix.

I couldn't choose any of the answers before I heard Lucy say "it's okay if you don't want to say it now but you can tell me later".

I felt a bit relief hearing her word cause now I had a bit of time in coming up with an answer.

After I finished eating I told her that I will be starting to do the mission, she insisted on coming along with me to do the mission but I didn't want her to get hurt and that would make me lose a chance of getting an upgrade card when she kills a monster. I picked everything that I needed and went outside and started to walk towards the outer part of the forest where most rank 1, 2, and 3 muscle refinement monster live. I walked for 2 hours before I reached the outer region of the forest. I started to look for any kind of rank 1 monsters, I didn't have to look for long before I found 2 monsters at rank 1 and 2 muscle refinement, breeding in the open air in front of me. I took out my sword that I packed as I was coming here and filled it with the bit of Qi I had and struck their head.

The sword had a bit of difficulty going through the rank 2 muscle refinement monster, but it cuts the rank 1 one like a butter.

I was ready to see two numbers of upgrade cards go up but to no avail nothing happened and nothing went up except that I felt something going up by a bit. As the that bit went up I felt a bit more power in my body, I felt very shocked from this development and so I asked the system.
