《The Infinite Item box IS the best thing someone can have on an adventure》Chapter 42 - Take Over

Harrian closed his eyes; his two bat wings disappeared, but yet he was still flying. His hair began to float around in the air, as his clothes began to rip themselves apart, revealing what was happening underneath.
From his core, stretching out, Harrians skin began to turn a dark black, his hair did the same, and so did his nails, Harrian had become completely dark. A simple array of lines began to appear, appearing over every bone in his body, making the skin not so dark, they were simple tattoos like Enar's.
Parts of Harrian’s hair and nails also bloomed a red crimson, before Harrian finally opened his eyes, revealing something that his teammates had only seen once before. His two eyes were the [Eye of Elements], similar to when he fought Marchosias, but not with the body change.
“So, did you think a little transformation could surprise, me…” Asger looked to his right side to already see Harrian there, with a fist that was covered in fire.
“[Inferno Affinity: Black Magic: Inferno Fist]” Harrian said in a robotic tone.
His fist made contact, which caused Asger to collide with a nearby building, making him go through twenty more walls before he stopped. He turned towards the still flying Harrian and scoffed, before talking again.
“Asger was unique of the Yggdrasil guards, and he was a guinea pig, I drained his blood and pumped him full of [Spirit Sap], anyone else would’ve been disintegrated by that, but not me,”
Harrian put his left hand forwards and opened it. “[Atmosphere Affinity: Black Magic: Dark Tornado Spear: X 10]”
Ten cones appeared behind Harrian, all of which looked like small tornadoes each with a long handle behind them. As soon as they were created, the spears hurled themselves towards Asger, dodging them and catching the third spear and throwing back at Harrian.
Putting his left arm a bit back, Harrian pushed it forward, making the single spear disappear. Asgers face turned to regret, as he was hit with a spear, this time, taking it and not budging, negating the spear of wind, causing an uproar in a room, civilians around him cowering.
“No need for hostages, after all, the [Dark Magician] has no humanity left for now anyway, now. [Elven Magic: Yggdrasil Magic: Jotunheim: Frozen Giants Breath],”
A beam of bright white light came from Asger, Harrian counteracting by dodging the attack. Still, the cold from the beam reached him. Asger smiled as he realised something, that Harrian could not, Harrian could not repel every attack.
“[Hydro Affinity: Black Magic: Sweat of Attack], [Absolute Zero Affinity: Black Magic: Bullets of Absolute Zero],”
Everyone around Asger began to weaken, as they began to sweat, which then built up, turned to ice and very quickly detaching and flinging towards Asger. Barely able to dodge all of them, Asger heated the area, jumping through the roof and running at Harrian.
Jumping from the roof, above Harrians view, Asger used the same [Spell] again in point-blank range. Harrian appeared behind Asger and kicked him with a leg made of lightning. Asger turned his head towards Harrian, the [Dark Magician] tilting his head to dodge the attack again.
Asger pushed off with his legs and made a spear of out his blood before he hit the floor, throwing it at Harrian, leaving a clean hole right through his forehead.
Harrian again appeared in front of Asger, with a lighting afterimage his wound already having healed. Harrian opened his mouth, repeating a similar attack Asger did twenty seconds ago.

The beam hit Asger and caused him to be frozen into the floor. An eruption of cold mist also came from the attack and was only focused on Asger. The floor around the attack grew colder, freezing over, civilians fleeing from the scene.
Atogin came down from the treetops and seeing the bright beam of light coming from Harrian. Allanae and Enar were also fleeing the scene, feeling a cold aura, coming from Harrian, reuniting with Nicko, Atogin dropping down onto the [Dragon-kin's] shoulders.
“What's happening with Harrian?” Enar asked, as her tattoos returned to normal.
“From what I guess,” Nicko scared. “It’s similar to when he gets taken over by [Primal], but this time he is consumed by the [Eye of Elements], I can feel it, the feeling of being bonded together with Harrian felt similar to this,”
“What do we do?” Atogin asked.
“The only thing we can do,” Allanae answered. “Making sure no one gets harmed… Other than who Harrian is fighting,”
The group began to run over to where Harrian was, as the [Dark Magician] finished his ice attack, finally touching the floor covered in metres of ice. Quickly melting due to Harrian body heat, he walked over to the place which was the worst, the place he was aiming.
Putting his right hand into the air, a massive sword made of light hovered over the place he was aiming, before Harrian began to speak again.
“[Radiant Affinity: Black Magic: Void Affinity:]” The sword was swallowed in pitch-black darkness. “[Celestial Affinity:]”. Twenty more large swords appeared around the area, pointing all to the same spot. “[Ancient Affinity:]”, each of the swords grew five times larger. “[Swords of Divine and Unsacred Judgement from Hell and Heaven]”
Harrian clenched his fists, and all of the blades at lightspeed hit the same spot simultaneously. Causing a massive eruption of dust, reaching hundreds of metres high, destroying the canopy and leaving a few hundred metres of rubble around him.
“You missed it!!” Asger said whilst throwing a spear made of earth towards Harrian.
He caught the spear which was aimed for his back, making it break, again speaking.
“[Gained new Affinity: Elven Magic]” Harrians entire body moulded so it would face Asger.
“Th-that's not an [Affinity], so how can you control it now!”
“[Radiant Affinity: Void Affinity: Black Magic: Elven Magic: Celestial Affinity: Ancient Affinity: Spirit Swords of Divine and Unsacred Judgment from Hell, Heaven and History]”
Hundreds of swords, with large white swords irradiating a black light and vice versa one by one appeared around Harrian. They were all much smaller than his last attack, looking like a regular broadsword, pointed to Asger.
Again at blinding speed, they all attacked at once, Asger dodging each of them effortlessly, at the end grabbing two different swords and twirling them in his hands. He had a white sword, and a black sword before Asger decided to use his own power-up.
Like Muspel, his hair changed to a mouldy green, his eyes changed the same green, still glazed over. Veins began to pulse; some dark green blood began to spill from his veins; the two swords also began to irradiate an emerald light.
Harrian began to speak, his calm eyes became angered, as small stakes from all the elements began to appear around him. From the air, the ground, the trees, all the [Affinites], which resembled the basic elements began to appear in the thousands.
“[Affinity Affinity: Black Magic: Stakes of the basic elements]”

“Pathetic,” Asger sharpened his swords on each other, ready for the onslaught of attacks.
Begging to run at speeds which made him bound over countless houses, anything behind Asger was laid waste due to Harrians barrage of attacks. People screamed, injuries that could kill, Harrian didn’t care, he wasn’t himself, he was just a beast of destruction.
“So this is the power of [Take Over] when one of the [Eleven Eyes of the World] is allowed to get loose,” Asger said in a soft tone.
The [Eleven Eyes] of the world, eleven [Magic Eyes] that makes up the system of [Players] in [Afterdeath System Online]. The [Eye of Elements] allows all the [Affinities] to be raised, the lowest being [Fire, Water, Pebble, Air, Lightning, Cold, Mineral, Seed, Celestial, and Ancient Affinity], the basics of all [Magic] derived from natural elements.
This allows the user to be connected with nature more than any other person. Not only does the [Eye of Elements] make [Affinities level up] four times faster, but also in the state of [Takeover] allows no [Magic or Stamina] to be used whatsoever in any attack committed by the user.
It also boosts the [Affinites] to a certain limit depending on how strong the user is. Since the [Affinites] is connected by nature, any attacks that are closely related to elements can be taken over during the duration of [Takeover], and since [Elven Magic] is highly connected to the world tree, Harrian was able to gain control quite easily. Still, not the [Spell] Asger put on himself.
Turning back around, Asgers swords became larger as he put them into a cross. A barrage of attacks directed themselves into the middle of the swords where they connected, forming into a purple ball.
“[Soul Magic: Rebound]”
All the attacks repelled towards Harrian, his black form even flinching knowing what it was. Harrian braced himself and took all the attacks, and he blacked out for a moment, causing all of the remaining attacks to disappear, as well as the swords Asger was holding.
“That is the power of [Chaos North], but I’m not going to tell you exactly how it works,”
Harrian fell halfway towards the ground in the air, before opening his eyes again.
“[Void Affinity: Void Mould]”
Harrian fell closer to the floor, landing in a shadow and was absorbed into it. Not even a second later, he appeared above the trees and put both his hands forward. A large red orb appeared in Harrians hands before he began to say a [Spell].
“[Inferno Affinity: Black Magic: Dark Solar Slash]”
The large orb turned to black before a large crescent came out of Harrian hands, and before Asger could react, sliced him perfectly in half. The attack left his wounds sealed with heat, as Harrian closed both his hands and said ‘[Detonate]’.
The hot crescent then exploded, and with a final scream from Asger, the Heroes party had defeated five of the Yggdrasil guards, each on their own. But it was not over yet, as Harrians [Take Over] wasn’t finished.
With no task left to do left by Harrian subconscious, his [Skill: Lightning Rod] began to be used. Lightning began to flow through Harrian, appearing around him in an aura, floating in midair, and causing lightning strikes.
The [Heroes Party] saw this and began to discuss, fearful of what might happen if they are hit with power like that.
“Harrian doesn’t seem to show any sign of stopping,” Enar said.
“Yes he does, he told me that he took a pill whenever his eye would act up, it’s why we drank before the [Dungeon Boss],” Atogin explained.
“I guess that Harrian could just create the pill in his body and absorb it, but look at him, that can't do anything,”
Atogin then goat a [Status Board] in front of him, as he looked down onto it, his eyes widened.
“Perfect timing,” Atogin smiled. “And the requirements, use [Limit Break] 1,000 times in a span of a week,”
“What?” Nicko asked, tilting his head.
“I know what to do, but I need to focus, so back away, and Allanae, give me your spear,”
She nodded and gave Atogin her weapon. Very carefully, Atogin scanned the weapon over and over again, closing his eyes and creating a mental image in his head. When Harrian and Atogin had a drinking contest, Atogin, when Harrian wasn’t looking, took one of his pills and used [Analyze] on it, knowing just enough to get the chemical formula.
Atogin closed his eyes and knelt, putting his right hand on the ground, as the dust began to form in a pile around it. After enough dust was created to look like an average anthill, Atogin began to use [Alchemy].
“[Alchemy: All Transmutate to: Anti Magic Affinity Dust ]!” The dust grew smaller and turned to a smaller pile, also becoming white.
He got up, and put both his fists to the side of his rib cages, breathing in heavily. The pile of dust began to slowly lift off, becoming a skinny cylinder, hovering above Atogin. Ice began to form around the cylinder, and when it was completely covered.
Grabbing the cylinder, Atogin's veins in his right hand began to pulse a bright red.
“[Alchemy: Compress: Nitrogen], [Alchemy: Temperature Change: -210.15°C/-346.27°F: Nitrogen]!”
An identical spear to Allanae’s began to form in Atogins right hand; it was completely made of what they suspected to be a liquid, keeping form by Atogins will. Atogin concentrated even more so that the coldness that the spear was emitting was concentrated even more before the [Demihuman] opened his eyes.
Like a javelin, Atogin pulled his right hand back until it was at his ear. With a running start, Atogin eyed Harrian, before his right hand began to show cracks appearing over his skin, all of the cracks seeming to glow red. As Atogin began to throw the javelin, he uttered a [Spell], one that surprised everyone.
“[Limit Break: Change]! [Limit Shatter: Strength]!!!” Like a window breaking, Atogins skin shattered, revealing a glowing red arm, almost reaching his right elbow. Releasing the spear, Atogin smiled as he saw the lightning Harrian stare in his direction.
Seeing the spear, the [Dark Magician] shot a ray of concentrated fire, not even muttering a spell, but the real reason that Atogin had created the spear wasn’t to injure Harrian but to deliver something. Atogin had covered the dust in liquid nitrogen, a common element found in the air and since Harrian would’ve used an attack based off heat, it would become a gas very quickly, also releasing the dust into the surrounding environment.
A few metres away from Harrian, the spear had evaporated, and the dust was in the air. Since Harrian still breathed in the state he was in, just a whiff of the powder made him calm down in a matter of moments. Harrian’s hair and body returned to normal, plummeting to the ground.
Everything that had disappeared from Harrian reappeared his clothes, tools, and tophat. Nicko was the first to reach Harrian, seeing the state he was in, and pulling him into the [Infinite Item Box]. Everyone also jumped in other than Nicko, as he fled in the direction of the capital.
The fight was won and lost by Harrian, sacrificing his being so that everyone else wouldn’t have been killed. By the time Harrian had saved his teammates, most of them were already running out of steam, Nicko suffering the least.
Everyone was exhausted, but all of them were happy that they still had a chance, a gleam of hope, to defeat the caster of what was happening.
