Daryl stared into a temporal portal and agonized over his early demise—"I must stop this!"

He saved himself repeatedly because events changed into car accidents, electrocutions, or drownings—always the same day, hour, and precise minute.

Daryl saw his future self again:

Standing on train tracks, looking at his watch and yelling, "It's almost time!" then stepping through a temporal portal, quickly returning, and saying, "Right on schedule!"

Daryl arrived on the tracks before him, but future-Daryl tazed him while holding himself as a newborn.

"This is how we change our fate, Daryl!"

Alas, none of it ever happened.
