《Aurora's Sky》Chapter 2 : Aurora (2)

Aurora’s parents haven’t removed the child from the hospital quite yet. The bursts of magnetic energy around her was seen as a real threat to the government. Under Galactic Article #6893294 any attack on public technology was seen as a terrorist threat. This rule was made ages ago when cities became almost entirely made of tech.
Everything had tech : from the solar paneled roads to the nano-machines filtering the nearby air, the walls of buildings, and etc. Government officials actually wanted to take the child away from her parents due to her special unidentifiable power.
However, her father was no measly character. He was the president of the Union Institution of Technology and was himself spearheading the tech that would change everyone’s lives, the creation of artificial intelligence. This position was equal on footing to multiple individual planetary governments combined and no one could stop the influence of tech in their own lives.
So instead they let the galactically-proclaimed genius to his own means and let him decide the future of his daughter. The father decided to leave her at her current hospital, as it was nearby work, the tech there was easily modifiable, located on his estate, and was rather large.
Aurora’s powers seem to have a range of about 15 meters around her. The effect also seemed to expand when she was angry and completely dissipated when she was sleeping. Her mother decided to make a garden entirely made just for Aurora to play around in and built a house specifically catered for her aversion to technology.
Aurora started being able to speak her first words after simply 2 months of being born. Evidently, in place of her non-functioning legs and limited stamina, she received a superior intellect. Aurora’s mother realized this potential in her and had books specifically created and shipped to start teaching Aurora.

Aurora by the age of 6 months was able to read and speak Commons. Her mother was astounded and loved talking to her intelligent little baby. Aurora’s mother then focused on bringing books from every planet. Eventually, a large library was built that would house books and be constantly stocked with new books. You would often be able to see little Aurora being pushed around in her wheelchair by her mother to look at books.
At age 1, Aurora began writing her own diary in secret as a pastime. The diaries were often about the material she had learned that day and what she wanted to do in the future.
At age 2, Aurora was reading about the past and about games. She also read about the current affairs with planets revolting against the Union. She didn’t understand how people could fight and kill so meaninglessly for such conflicts. She hoped that maybe she herself could end those conflicts one day.
Aurora was now the age of 3 and ironically enough had a growing interest in technology. She wished to be able to one day come in contact with technology like her father’s and not destroy it. She wished for the technology that would allow her to move and play freely.
Her father occasionally came by the house and realized the interest that had begun to bud in the girl and he didn’t have the heart to tell her it wasn’t possible with her condition. So instead, he came to teach her about his own work and his progress in creating Artificial Intelligence. This also allowed him to vent his frustrations that he couldn’t express to others. He had trouble in creating a logical approach to how the A.I. would respond in contact with human emotions. The preliminary A.I. had failed all basic human personality tests and eventually broke down due to the logic interference it would experience afterwards. This meant the A.I. could not have contact with humans or it will start breaking down.

Aurora at age 3 worried about her father so she began to study greatly in the topic of human emotions and programming. Along with her father’s own private lessons when he had the time, her knowledge grew at an enormous pace and within a year she had the skills of an average team member within her father’s circle of colleagues. Nobody understood how the girl was able to infer and learn information so fast. Aurora herself had no idea as she simply seemed to remember knowledge whenever it was mentioned. It just sort of appeared in her mind if she thought hard enough about the problem. However, what happened next astounded even her own father.
Aurora equipped with a pen and a book began to write out an equation and code with her own little hands. She would often complain about her cramped hands and tireless nights equal to a number of times her own father would complain about work. When she was 4 and half years old she had finally begun to finish the book that she had written. The book was her gift to her father. She handed the book over to her father and the expression on her father’s face was one of amazement. Aurora’s father then decided to immediately have each book page scanned and translated to the computer.
The results were astounding, A.I.s became able to learn at an even more accelerated rate due to the final added code and had no problems with human emotions. The creation of the first A.I. was witnessed by Aurora’s father and his team and dreams of a limitless future came to them. The miracle code was named the Aurora code and labeled as an achievement of the miracle child born to a great fate. The code would then become the basis of many future A.I.s.
However, in a galaxy far away a war was ignited between humans and they heard the news. THEY heard of the wonder child who created the key code and the creation of A.I.s. THEY heard of the miracle child that was the future of mankind. THEY heard of the mysterious powers she had. THEY heard of the tech-less garden she resided in.
