《Headpat Bot!!!》The Clock is Ticking

We sat on the bed for the longest time, trying to figure out what there was, or if there was anything we could do.
“It's useless, she's got us in her grips” Byte said coldly as he looked at me.
“We can't give up, we will be expelled! Everything that you and I worked so hard for in school will be for nothing!” I ranted.
“There's no other way, I'm going to have to do as she says so that we don't get expelled” Byte explained.
“No you can't!” I exclaimed suddenly. But then I started thinking ‘Why not? If there's no other way out then isn't this the only option available? You can't get expelled. Think about Mom and Dad, how upset they would be. You're not the only one working hard. Are you really prepared to throw that away for the sake of someone else? Who isnt even human for that matter. Why did you interject, or is there some reason why you can't let him do that.’ I forced the thoughts out of my head and finished my sentence, “because I still have one more idea.”
I whipped out my phone and went straight to my contacts and found Yuas name, and pressed the green phone icon. Before long, I heard someone pick up, and wearily whisper into the phone “Erika, what's up homeslice?”
“Hey Yua, I know you must've been sleeping, I'm sorry to wake you up, but Biito and I have a serious issue, and was wondering if you and Reiji would be able to help us” I talked quietly into the phone.
“So you got a hold of him? What's going on?” Yua questioned.
“I explain it all in detail when we meet up, do you mind getting a hold of Reiji? And have him bring his laptop” I responded.

“Yes cap'n!” Yua responded in a goofy way, a tell tale sign that her drowsiness was wearing off.
“Okay, text me when you get Reiji on board, and I'll text you where we are meeting up, mkay, bye” I said as I pressed the end call button and my phone screen went black.
I looked at Byte as I zipped up my jacket and put on my winter hat. “Let's go show this psycho who's boss” I said with a smile and a thumbs up.
Bytes face turned from shock to grin as he looked at me, he then stuck his thumb up and pressed his knuckles against mine before saying “Yeah, lets.”
We made our way through the cold night to a chain restaurant that was open 24 hours a day to meet Reiji and Yua called “Mcee Burgers.” When we arrived, I looked around to see if they had already arrived before trying to find our own seat. Since they were nowhere to be found yet I decided to go order a small meal for Byte and myself before sitting down at one of the booths. The rest of the money that I had on hand with me at the time would need to be used for cab fare to get myself home that night, since there was no way I could risk staying in Byte’s dorm. Before long Yua and Reiji meandered on into the restaurant, Reiji propping his weight up against her, obviously not awake yet. Yua looked around the restaurant, then when she found us, dropped Reiji off at the table. Her blood red hair was a frizzy mess and she didn't have her glasses on, you could tell the both of them had no plans after retiring for the night.

“I'm gonna go get a coffee for me and Rei-Rei” she said as she teetered off.
“Dun call me Rei-Rei” Reiji fired back, while still half asleep.
While they drank their coffee and woke up, Byte and I finished our meals.
“You both got some explaining to do, what's going on?” Yua asked while she played with her empty coffee cup like it was a top.
I then took my time to meticulously explain all that had happened over the course of the night. It seemed that they understood the gravity of the situation due to the look on their faces.
“So what're we gonna do?” Yua asked as she looked at the both of us.
“We aren't sure, we were hoping you both would be able to give us some insight” Byte murmured.
“It's tough, we have virtually nothing to use against her” I added.
“Oh wait, what about the cameras? You guys could tooootally use the camera footage to show that she was there too and get her in trouble!” Yua exclaimed as she celebrated.
“That still wouldn't help the fact that they would end up getting in trouble, possibly even expelled as well. They would just be sinking Mei’s ship while the both of them are still on it” Reiji explained as he scrolled through his laptop.
“Oh, yeah you're right” Yua trailed off.
We all sat in silence for a few moments. ‘Checkmate’ I thought to myself. ‘There's no way we are getting out of this one, she's got us cornered.’ I looked over at Byte, only to notice that all the hope that was written on his face earlier had dissipated. It seemed that the truth was starting to be realized by everyone, including Yua, who was staring down at the table with a blank look on her face. All of a sudden, Reiji popped up from behind his laptop screen and beckoned us over to him, pointing at something on his laptop.
“Come take a look at this guys, I think I have an idea.”
