Chapter 1
A great time ago the Earth was a place ruled by espers. After The Esper War, countless fell and the bloodline thinned out due to mysterious reasons. Now the prestigious families are just a shadow of what they once were, hidden away and forgotten by the world. It is now the age of technology, and we are just remnants of the past. - Mattheus Belam, Elder of Mirage Clan
Countless off thoughts flashed through Solar's head as he panicked. Is this a prank? Is someone from the mirage clan casting an illusion on me? He dismissed both of the explanations. He hadn't noticed anyone following him and he wasn't important anymore since he already left the family. This was also way beyond the capabilities of the current Mirage clan. Maybe only the fabled Illusion Master from hundreds of years ago could come close to cast something this lifelike.
"Okay, first thing first. Analyse your surroundings..." Solar said as he scanned the area. The thick vines that grew alongside the walls even covered the ceiling. They were murky green and had sharp thorns that looked very dangerous. The purple-glowing bulbs attached to the tops of them that illuminated slightly and it even seemed like they pulsated.

"Okay..." Solar was speechless as the screen of words had popped up in front of him. Fuck...
"Okay...this can't be real!? Let's be rational?! Stop the prank alright? " Solar said out loud as he panicked, trying to find that the one that was messing with him "Who's fucking with me?"
Solar strode forward and touched a vine, but instantly took two steps back and fell butt to the floor as it had slightly moved in reaction to his touch.

"This is real...this is real...this is real..." Solar mumbled to himself over and over again, "What if that would have been something dangerous? Fuck I'm stupid... Okay... He distances himself from the walls and sat down in the middle of the cave room.
He took a deep breath and calmed down. Focus... "Gaining skills and screens with texts popping up...has the world been turned to a game?" Solar rubbed his temple as he thought, "Whatever this is, judging by the what that voice said, there are several changes to the world...and I am unable to even have a tutorial?
"Freaking shitty shit..."Solar grumbled to himself. He was terrified. But still, he couldn't help but to slightly smile to himself. Was something wrong with him? No. He knew that feeling that bubbled up inside of him. It was exciting. Curiosity to the unknown.
What was the thing called in games now again? Solar tried to remember. He had never been a fan of games, he didn't like to sit still for so long.
"Wasn't it...status?" Solar said noticing only now that there was a slight echo.

"So my esper powers are deemed as skills?" Solar thought as he moved on to his achievements and were shocked that he had 2 of them.

Solar read through his stats, "So all my attributes are raised by 10%, even the ones that I get from the so-called Body of Stone skill..and since I didn't have a tutorial I don't really know if it is good.."
"3 free skill points?" The young man decided against using them just yet,"They might become useful if they are what I think they are.."
Just finished reading all the things that could be read on his status when he was interrupted by a sound. It was similar to wood bending and snapping. Creek...Creek...Creek...The foreboding feeling that Solar had was confirmed as what-ever was making the sound came closer and closer.
Solar tried to stay calm. His mind had been all over the place, and his actions hadn't been rational. But right now, he had somehow accepted the situation. I need to hide. Where?
He looked around the place. Hide between the vines?
Creeeek...Creeeek..Creeeek...
He found a large stone structure similar to an altar furthest into the cave room. He pushed himself off from the ground and curling up just enough so that he was completely hidden.
The creeks could be heard loudly now. Someone or something had entered the room. Minutes later he could hear two voices. They were quite beautiful, very calming to his eyes.
Solar couldn't contain his curiosity, also partly because he had to know what was happening. He peeked from behind the structure.
There was a giant monster, something at least two meters tall consisting of thick branches of wood intertwined with each other. It held one large bucket in one hand, filled with what looked like blood.
On the groud stood two tiny beings. The looked like small girls, but just fifth of their size. They were replicas of each other: both had green hair, and a similar look to the elves from fantasy movies.
Solar used his newly gained skill.
Blood Fairy

"€("!)#!")34#!"=)#!"€?" One of the fairies said to the other.
"!)#234!"#I"€)" The other one replied and pointed at the corrupted ent, then to the living vines and said, "3#"#"
With very crude movement the Ent poured the blood on the vines. It took a few minutes before the blood was gone, absorbed by the vines. The fairies looked contented. They said something and the Ent picked them up and put them on its shoulders, before making its way out from the room.
Creek...Creek...Creek...
Solar waited minutes before releasing his breath. "Not going to touch those blood-drinking vines again..." Solar muttered to as he glanced at the vines...he once again took a deep breath, ignoring the hunger and tried to formulate a plan...

Sustaining the King's Life
On a secluded mountain situated upon a kingdom known as Feuersturm, resides a seemingly trifling cabin with an unlikely duo as its inhabitant—a witch, and her apprentice who presumably comes from a clan sought after by slave traders. Faustina is a sixteen-year-old girl who fled the slave market with the help of a sickly witch named Eula, who later on trained her as an apprentice for the span of seven years. Plagued with a mysterious disease for several years, Eula died despite the efforts Faustina had exerted to cure her; in her last breath, she left an odd request behind. "Sustain the king's life. This is your duty. Do not adhere to the prophecy." To which the odd plea shadowed a bizarre series of events, a consequential sentence, similar to that of a premonition. The same night the phrase was muttered, the chain of events followed: A warlock's intrusion to their home, with a peculiar yearning to resurrect Eula from the dead... and the king himself, asking for Faustina’s aid. ** 1-2 chapters a day (GMT+8) ** (The artwork belongs to me.
