《Genesis》Announcement & Poll

Ah-haha. Heh. Hah… :-|
Hello there. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything for Genesis. Some of you may know me as that one guy who pops up around the forums from time to time but never finishes his own stories, or maybe the guy who talks a lot and doesn’t really get any of his stories done, or even just that guy who managed to get a little blue box to talk about him and a certain thread several months back... Well, let me tell you, all of these are correct!
Others may know me as the author of several inactive stories in addition to my most recent works, Noodle Knight [semi-active] and Trending News (According to Narrator), and know that I’ve been writing on a whim the entire time. That, in and of itself, is largely the problem I have.
I could go on and on about that issue, but I’m here for an entirely different reason. I’m asking for your opinions, thoughts, and/or criticisms about me picking this story, Genesis, back up. Hear me out to the end, however, as this is still a tentative subject.
Here’s the gist of things.
Before my next semester starts, I’ll likely have a decent amount of free time so I was planning on writing a bit. Part of the motivation is due to Wing’s Race to One Million Challenge posted over in the WriTE forums. Another part is because I kinda dislike leaving things incomplete.
My tentative plan for writing in the near future is to continue where I left off on Genesis (flaws and all), restart Genesis (longer wait time & completely different spin), revitalize my writing schedule for Noodle Knight, or just follow my whims and continue writing what comes to mind including work on my Terrible Topic Corner, potential new ideas, or doing what I’ve always done- write on a whim. I’ll go into a bit more detail below.

1) Forging on despite flaws and other issues: I will likely NOT go back and edit any of the current chapters and simply pick up from where I left off. Due to the fact that I haven’t written anything for Genesis in the past half year, the style, feel, and presentation of the story may tend to shift from my old style. Benefits of this is having a direct continuation of the story and the only wait time involved is in me writing something that’ll fit in with what I have already established so far in the storyline.
2) Restart Genesis from scratch: I will start from the very beginning and will change things as I see fit. Don’t worry, I’ll leave the current chapters alone as an archive and will likely make a new fiction page for the rewrite. The tone I have in mind for a rewrite is much more serious than this one currently is, has a tentative two arcs sorta planned, and would take some time before I’m ready to post a minimum of three chapters, not counting prologue or anything. Most of the main elements such as Adam, Eve, the human digitization, and virtual reality development will stay the same. The only things that will change are intent, goal/direction, and tone.
3) Let the dead sleep and work on the living: I’ll work on Noodle Knight more frequently and hopefully find a proper direction to take it in with the goal of eventually finding a resolution and end to it. An extension of this is picking up one of my other failed starts (Silicon World/Not Quite An Author) and seeing where they take me.
4) Write on a whim: My default setting. If I’m bored and motivated enough, I’m apt to pick up any of the prior options or turn towards my Terrible Topic Corner and write through the backlog I already have. It’s still a bit messy right now, but I’ll get around to cleaning it up in the relatively near future.

It’d be a great service to me if you took the time to vote in the poll above and/or comment below. Thanks in advance and I hope to see my old readers come back again in the future.
Whatever you choose, in the end, this is how it goes.

Advent of the Mindfire Mage: A Challenger's Return Story
Updates MWF, 6PM EST! Not so long ago, a story was posted on Webnovel, one that fired my imagination unlike almost anything before or since. It was known as The Challenger's Return: Rebirth of the Rainbow Mage. However, 150 chapters in, the author NightWind, who I'd personally interacted with and begun to consider a true friend, vanished from the internet without a trace. And so, I have acted upon my fervent desire to pick up his torch, to refuse to let his world that stirred such passion in me die. Read below about my own take on The Challenger's Return. Was Lheticus summoned to the Tower by chance, or by choice? Either way, with the new power he wins, he won't hesitate to burn anyone who seeks to keep him from his true love to cinders, and with a unique ability of the highest potential, he may just succeed, but he's just as likely to burn himself down. And as it turns out, the latter case may be woven into his very destiny...can that destiny be changed? And if it is, what will be the repercussions for the Tower? (You may want to read a fair amount of the original Challenger's Return before starting this, as, particularly in the early chapters, many things that are laid out in it are glossed over in this story.)
