Discussing the plan to deal with NEST, Naruto spent time interacting with Kyo and listened to music as he was a sucker for love songs and songs that just touched the soul.

As a young child he had loved the song Blue bird as he yearned for freedom and once he attained it, he was touched by the song called fighting dreamer.

Songs at different stages of life had defined him and this song reminded him of Shion. Her words and her presence came to mind when he heard the lyrics.

It really hurt him in the heart as the emotions he had been holding back came out. He had been holding back all the emotions deep inside as he knew that thinking about it would never solve the problem and only bring him heartache.

But at this moment, he couldn't stop the thoughts from moving to Shion and others. He didn't like showing his emotions to others so he sat alone at the back and entered the mental world to satisfy his heart.

He enjoyed the new world but it was not his choice. It was forced upon him. The only reason he didn't work hard returning back was the warning the girl had given him.

Never try to return unless you are confident in your power. I will test you. You are mine never forget that and I don't like seeing you weak. Attain your peak and punish me.

He could never remember her looks but he knew she was someone that he should know. She knew everything about him, from his birth to his current self. She even spoke of his future, an alternative future.

Like what his choices would have led to.

For the last moments of the flight he spent them in silence as he went through his memories with his family back home. To remind himself of what was at stake. It was not just his life or the world. His family needed him to reach the peak.

The group arrived at their destination successfully, just outside the air space of China where they jumped of the plane. They couldn't trust any government since NEST was a powerful group that had its hands in all jars.

They weren't going to act stupid by letting the enemy know of their arrival. They needed to act fast and hit them hard without them getting wind of it.

It wasn't anything new for Naruto as he could easily fly so he helped all of them fly down to their destination.

It was a Yacht under the name of one of the informants of the Ikari warriors. There Leona and her team were waiting for them along with Vanessa and Mai Shiranui.

Leona was leading the group of twelve men that radiated a professional aura of killers. They reminded him of the ANBU and he wasn't far off as they did similar types of missions.

Assassination, sabotage, torture and such were their specialties.

They landed and entered the place where they could finalize the steps to be taken.

From one look at Leona, the only thing people would think was that she was a cool beauty with an emotionless face. She was the strongest female fighter in the world at the moment and she might even reach high ranks of the warrior ranking.

Naruto could feel the dangerous aura from her that she held back behind her cold mask.

Leona was a tall woman, 180 cm, with long light blue hair and eyes. She wore yellow tank top with military pants where she had specialized mini bombs.

She also carried daggers behind her back. She was master of the assassination style.

Leona was born in a village, residing with her family. When she was a child, Goeintz arrived at her home and demanded to talk with Gaidel, the leader of the village. He requested that Gaidel join him in their duties to serve Orochi, as everyone in the village was Orochi bloodline members.

However, Gaidel refused as he and his family liked peace and not the violent tendencies created by the Orochi blood. Enraged, Goeintz leaves; the same night, Leona underwent the Riot of Blood and slaughtered everyone in the village. Goeintz, pleased by the results, puts her blood lust to rest for another time "when he needs her again". Dazed and shocked, she loses her memories and wandered aimlessly until she was found and later adopted by Heidern. Surprised by her natural fighting ability, he decided to raise her as an Ikari warrior under his command.

Later she received her first big mission to enter the King of Fighters tournament with Ralf and Clark. Their mission was to investigate Geese Howard, who had entered the tournament in search of an unknown goal. During the events of the finals, Goeintz confronts her and reminds her of her Orochi lineage, causing her to worry about the future.

Her troubled state carried over to the battlefield which eventually leads to her entering the riot of blood when her Clark hurt during a mission because of her mistake. She slaughtered every living thing in the base and almost killed her partners. This led to her attempted suicide as she was afraid of killing her family but Ralf and Clark saved her.

She found about her heritage as a descendent of Orochi as this stage was similar to Iori Yagami's riot of blood.

But the memories of her past still hadn't returned yet. She had kept watch over herself to avoid getting into a berserk state again and used the resources of the Ikari warriors to find information about her state.

There was no cure for the berserk transformation and none had overcome it.

It was a tragic state of things but Leona was diligent and kept focus on her work with her partners that cheered her on.

With them by her side she strived to make the world a better place and fight against the evil while working hard to conquer the darkness deep within.

She had achieved a lot for a young woman who had just turned 20.

Aside from Ralf, Whip, Clark and Commander Heidern, Leona did not talk to anyone. She often felt lonely, but was comforted with the new family she had found with the Ikari mercenaries.

Her official nickname was The Silent Soldier.

Ralf Jones was a member of the Ikari Warriors, an elite mercenary-for-hire agency. He had proven himself to be a powerful soldier who was known for his natural leadership abilities and courage on the battlefield. He currently held his rank as a colonel. He befriended Clark when they were in their twenties and they have stayed good friends with one another since then.

They both were under Commander Heidern's command and often follow his orders to enter the King of Fighters tournaments. Ralf and Clark were introduced to the squad's newest recruit, Leona Heidern. Ralf was initially skeptic due to her young age, but he eventually accepted her as one of his comrades. He seemed to like her very much as soon as he met her, and shook her hand but doesn't want it to be revealed.

Ralf was a hot-blooded guy that only cared for action, being the counterpart of Clark in many ways. Although he didn't always show it, he experienced his share of losses from war and will drown his sorrows away with a drink. He was especially protective of any new recruits that come under his command, and will try his best to care for them, especially Leona, whom he saw as a little sister. He also cared for Whip, more than a friend but had yet to earn her heart.

His official nickname was The One-man Army.

Clark was part of the Ikari Warriors mercenary agency that was currently under the orders of Commander Heidern and Colonel Ralf Jones. He was formerly a spy before he entered their service. Clark was known for being a focused and loyal soldier who specialized in gathering information for their missions. He wore his sunglasses to hide a scar in the middle of his forehead; it was caused by Ralf who was carelessly playing with his knives at the time.

Like the other Ikari Warriors, Clark was usually ordered to enter each tournament by Heidern. He continued to play a supporting role in Ralf's decisions and often accepts his superior's views

In contrast to the rowdy and outgoing Ralf, Clark is taciturn and rarely displays much emotion. However, he was melancholic some times, and his loyalty towards his comrades was never questioned. He was known to sometimes make fun of Ralf's stubbornness and serious nature.

His official nickname is Tough & Cool.

It was the trio that appeared in the KOF and a made name for themselves in the public eye. There powers were exceptional and even without fighting them Naruto could tell all of them were very experienced.

Stronger than almost all the warriors he had met till now except a few while Leona gave the feeling that she was stronger than everyone except Eliza and Kyo.

Taking her berserk state into consideration she could probably force him to use his sage mode.

Just like Naruto was analyzing them, the group also had their eye on him. They already knew the public information about him and what Mary had sent them.

Mai Shiranui was the granddaughter of Hanzo Shiranui, master of ninjitsu and Koppo-ken. Mai learned from her father the secrets of Ninjitsu. She had met Andy Bogard, during this time, who had come to train under her grandfather. Mai then had to take alternate courses from her grandfather's friend, Jubei Yamada in ninjitsu. At first, Mai was uninterested in Andy and only thought of him as another callous man only interested in his training. It wasn't until he gave her a present on her birthday that she saw him in another light and eventually fell in love with him. Though, this confuses him greatly.

She spent much of the time endlessly pursuing Andy and fantasizing about various daydreams about their wedding.

During King of Fighters tournament, Mai pestered Andy to enter and form a team with her. Upset at his refusals and choice to join a separate team, she formed an all-women team with the help of Yuri and King to prove to Andy the error of his ways.

Mai was a very cheerful and temperamental girl. She tended to also be somewhat of an airhead and admired any kind of beauty or attractiveness, which sometimes comes across as being vain. She also at times compared attractive boys who flirt with her or acknowledge her beauty to Andy, acknowledging their attractiveness but ending with a comment saying they're 'not as cute as Andy'.

Like many girls, she had dreams of getting married to her Prince Charming. She found that same Prince Charming in Andy and self-proclaimed herself his fiancé, which at times, has creeped out Andy himself. He mostly tries to ignore her advances as he views her like a younger sister but has a hard time adequately returning platonic affections due to her persistence.

Although her peppy fighting persona suggests otherwise, Mai was actually a traditional and ideal Japanese beauty. However, her pride as a Shiranui ninja and infatuation with Andy usually kept her from fitting the mold 100% of the time.

She was 22 years old now and had been in love with Andy for a decade. She had waited for him and continued to pursue him but her heart had finally given up.

Andy never reacted to her at all. She would always be the sister in his eyes. She had finally accepted defeat and decided to move on. She had started taking her ninja missions seriously and started working with Mary and the Ikari warriors to use her powers for a good cause.

Maybe even find her new prince charming.

Her official nickname was The Alluring Ninja Girl.

Finally there was Vanessa, who was the weakest of the group but not the weakest he had seen since she was strong as Laura. She was a normal housewife who discreetly served as a mercenary agent under the Ikari Warriors. Vanessa was a woman who enjoyed the flavor of life and good jaunts to the bar for a drink. It's a mystery how she was able to keep her job a secret from family but she treasured them a lot. She had a normal husband with a normal job at a company and a little child of four years.

She was beautiful tall women of 182 cm with short red hair and banging body that attracted the attention males where ever she went. It was a surprise how she fell for a normal man but she really treasured everything from him and always kept the ring safe.

Although often teasing in return, she will sometimes discourage flirtations as she was married.

Her official nickname was The Boxing Queen.

"I didn't expect you would bring us such a surprise, Mary. How did you get him to join?" Ralph greeted Mary in a friendly manner while his team mates were silent.

Leona couldn't keep her eyes from Naruto. She didn't know why she felt something familiar from him, something primal.

"Tsk tsk, how can you doubt this beautiful detective? Have I ever failed in a task, these looks don't just exist for nothing." Mary replied as she slapped his back and entered the room while Mai and Vanessa greeted King and the others.

"How can I doubt it, you have even charmed this heart of mine…But…are you sure?" Ralph said playfully before turning serious as he didn't want someone backstabbing them. He wouldn't let the incident go even if it as a friend.

"She is sure. I am not your enemy and would have attacked NEST regardless of your offer. I only need the information of the base, the rest I can handle alone." Naruto spoke up to make them understand his stance.

"Are you sure you can spout such things? Do you even know how dangerous this mission is?" Ralph felt annoyed at his words. He didn't want to see his people suffer because of some careless actions. NEST wasn't some child's play and the things he had seen from Naruto didn't mean he was invincible.

NEST had high tech weapons so they would murder him if he was careless.

"Relax my man, I am not running ahead blindly. I am just telling if I was serious than I could go in alone. My powers are similar level to Akuma when I am serious. For now I will operate in your team since this is your mission. I am informing you of my level so you can use me in an efficient manner." Naruto extended his hand and Ralph shook it as the conversation saved from going in the wrong direction, though he put Naruto as a braggart.

Akuma wasn't someone that easy to beat and what Naruto had shown was not even 10% of Akuma.

"He will join me." Leona spoke up, surprising Clark and Ralph as they couldn't understand why she would choose to go with him.

Ryo and Mai along with Naruto and Leona were going to start the assault while the others will follow from two different directions.

Their goal was to get information about other bases so they were not supposed to cause collateral damage until the goal was done.

"Well, I look forward to working with you partner." Naruto said as he put his hand forward but Leona didn't respond and just gave him a nod.

It was his first time working with such a person. It was something unique.

Letting the others plan out other things, Naruto sat beside Mai as both of their roles were to cause distractions and hold back the enemies. While they held back the enemy, Mary and Leona were supposed to enter the base to get the info while the others gave them support.

Naruto didn't know much about these high tech stuff so he was unusable and the same went for Mai, she wasn't used to such high tech stuff either.

"Hey chum, why so glum?"

"Chum seriously?" Mai looked at him as she looked up from her magazine. She was used to guys looking at her and approaching her so it wouldn't be a surprise if he was hitting on her.

"What's the problem with that, it's my choice. Now I can see that you are running your beauty by surrounding it with gloominess."

"Gloom, I am feeling chirpy as usual." Mai looked at him carefully. She already knew he was a powerful fighter, maybe even close to Terry's level. Even without being told she knew he was a murderer and from the feeling she got, he had dipped his hands too deep into the river of blood.

He was covered in it and she could feel the predator like aura from him.

He was totes dangerous to anyone that went against him. Many people couldn't read his aura but she was a Shiranui Ninja and reading people was their specialty.

Just from meeting him, she could assume that he had tortured people and killed countless. But, he wasn't tainted by it. He was dangerous but he also gave a peaceful aura, meaning he had done all of it for a good cause.

She didn't know what to feel about him at this time. He wasn't very good looking but he had good looks. His style wasn't bad, better than most.

He knew how to talk and avoid pointless conflicts like now.

He was resourceful.

"I can read people's emotion my beautiful comrade, your heart isn't happy like it is used to. Did you experience heartbreak or has life lost its meaning? If you want, I will give you an ear?"

"Now that's an ability I wish I had. You don't have to worry about people lying to your about their feelings and you could even tell if a person likes you. It's heartbreak." Mai felt jealous of his ability as it could have come in handy for Andy.
