Adam looked dazedly at the two young men, who were staring at him fearfully. After a few seconds of looking at Adam, the look on the boys' faces went from scared to stunned, and they stared at Adam for a long time.

Noticing what was happening, Adam reached into his desk for his glasses and put them on. When Adam looked away, the two boys massaged their foreheads with some pain in their heads.

Over the years, Adam had discovered that the karma he had was what was considered the second phase of positive karma, and your eyes were turning white. With this level of karma one could defend himself by stunning others if he looked into their eyes, in the third phase he would lose the shadow and from then on there are no records of this path and neither of the effects.

The path of negative karma started with black spots around the eyes and in the second phase your eyes turned black, nothing happened when you got them. When you lose the shadow, you get something similar to Adam's effect but causing fear in other people, just by seeing your body. Another effect that arose in the third phase was that your mind would begin to be distorted by your karma, that is: you would seek to be bad, and you would naturally act in a bad way, and you would begin to hate those who act in a good way. The fourth phase was that your shadow turned red and from there was no more information and neither of the effects.

Seeing the children's expressions return to normal, Adam asked:

—Which of you two is Apollo, and which is Hermes? They asked me to take them to the upstairs market to buy sweets.

—I am Hermes—said the boy who had hit Adam in the head with a stick not so long ago.

—Apollo—said the boy with freckles, who ran towards the wall of the cave.

—Shouldn't a mannequin bring us?—Hermes asked suspiciously, watching Adam from a distance.

The eyeless old man came out of the wall again and shouted angrily:

— No, the mannequins cannot go up: they would draw a lot of attention! Upstairs is safer than lower floors, you don't need it! Go away at once!

The eyeless old man disappeared and reappeared at Adam's side and shouted even louder:

— Work and get them out of my cave! The children will help you to go unnoticed and buy sweets for the children; I don't want problems with my new contacts.

Angered by the yelling, Adam led the way up the rotten steps to the top floor, before leaving he handed each boy their ID card and gave them instructions:

—First we go to the 3rd floor and I look for a shelf to which I have to deliver something, then we go for their sweets in the market. Don't look too much at the guards, but if they show up, just give them the card and put your finger on the notebook they give you.

The two children with some mistrust nodded and looked expectantly at the stone wall that was about to open to reveal the wooden floors.
