《The Lost Characters [Vanilla Dark Fantasy]》068-The 100 pages.

Time passed slowly, too slowly, but it passed. Adam was 17 years old, and today he had finished reading all 100 pages. His companions had only reached 90. These last pages are very complicated for everyone. It is normal for a student to obtain his black robe between the ages of 25-30, so Adam's pace was abnormally fast.
But it was also no surprise to Adam that he made it so quickly to 100 pages. In short, he did nothing but study the language: he was stoning his entire fortune on private tutors. It would seem that he didn't care about the characters anymore: his only goal was to obtain the black robe right now.
In these two years or so, Adam had not lived another adventure and the sheep had not yet appeared. But according to the old man with no eyes, the sheep would take 5 years to check the contents of the suitcase so that Adam could complete the favor.
As Adam guessed: the bomb didn't exist and his godfather had lied to him. However, Adam did not feel upset about that, in these two years he learned that his godfather only wanted him to survive everything and the others did not matter to him.
But surviving was not living well, and Adam knew that more than anyone. These two years of studying like a madman had cost him all of his youth. But his godfather had been clear: from Adam's 20 years any day after those dates he would have to leave without or with a black robe.
That was Adam's 16th birthday gift from his godfather: learning that the upper, middle, and lower denizens would be displaced from their homes by other librarians.
Therefore, a war was approaching in order to avoid being displaced. Studying now was much easier than in the war, so Adam had to take advantage of this opportunity in exchange for sacrificing his youth.

Once he had the black robe, Adam would look for his father and they would go together to other safer floors. Adam prayed that seeing him in the black robe would have a positive enough effect on his father to bring some of his sanity back. According to his godfather, a librarian war was much more violent and chaotic than a shelf war, so it was a very bad idea to get caught in the middle.
Right now, Adam was celebrating his 100th page, he still hadn't gone to school for the official ceremony and had decided to skip today's class. His godfather had told him that he had to talk to a specific bookshelf on this day, and he could only do it on that day.
Apparently the shelf conditions were to reach 100 pages with this language on the middle floor. With such specific conditions, the reward should be very good, especially considering that one had to sacrifice more than 7 years of his life to learn a language up to this point.
Adam was quite excited, it was the first time in so many years that his godfather told him a secret, so he was very excited to know what he would receive in exchange for achieving the riddle on this shelf.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)

Star Ocean
A space cadet crash lands onto a world unknown to him. Join his struggles as he tries to find a way home------------------------------------------------------------------------------Authors note: I decided to continue this concept. I'm not really good at writing. I just have some few ideas that I want to bring to life. Also, patience is not my virtue so I tend to overpower my characters too quickly. Please feel free to leave comments of your thoughts so that i may avoid this.
