—That's 200 steps!—Adam shouted, almost dying of disgust at knowing the information.
—And a few corridors—added the bear with a smile— You can, hero!
—It could take me a few hours, do you think we didn't run into anyone?—Adam asked, his fear of lunatics making him lose his temper.
—I hope they attack you inside the stairs—answered the bear, but he didn't talk about it anymore, he just ran towards the stairs and Adam followed him, dragging the suitcase through the corridors.
On the way, which lasted for hours, several people passed Adam, but they all ignored him, layers if they were normal people would spend helping the boy carrying a heavy thing up the stairs, but these lunatics just ignored him and continued on their way.
With a lot of effort and cramped hands, the boy managed to reach the fourth floor, but according to the bear it was better to wait on the stairs for a long time before moving between the corridors.
—Are the stairs safe?—Adam asked, coming to that idea after coming across so many lunatics who ignored him in such a cramped environment.
—Yes, fighting is not allowed on the stairs—the bear replied—but at the entrance to the stairs, that's why the guards are there on the middle floors.
—I know that, that's why I used to go up the stairs of the old man without eyes—Adam replied, not wanting to seem so ignorant, he still had some hatred towards the bear, this mission was horrible for him.
—You do that because you're an idiot, boy—the bear replied quite calmly—You have a mid-floor license, you could walk in the door like any normal person.
—Liar! Also, how do you know about my license?! —Shouted Adam, getting even with the hard mission.
—You're Adam, and I'm Mr. Bear from the loving bear family—the bear replied seriously and taking a sip of the drink that never escaped from his hand—I told you the secret of the cave, boy. The eyeless old man does not know that we knew each other in the previous life.

—Impossible! Now, what else is there to do?!—Adam yelled even more angrily—Why do you tell me so many lies! What are you trying to achieve!
—Your plan went well, Adam—the bear answered without paying attention to the boy's anger—The librarians spent millennia looking for it and you, without knowing how to read a miserable language, did it... you're right, it's impossible, boy.
—Why would you tell me about the cave?—Adam asked, a little uncomfortable at the seriousness in the bear's voice.
—We only exchanged favors, just like now—answered the bear without much thought—but you were insane enough to achieve the impossible with those exchanges."
Adam didn't want to ask anymore. This bear had lied to him on more than one occasion and to top it off he had morals too opposed to his to interest you in his lies or truths. So the boy got up and began to finish taking the suitcase from the stairs.
The bear looked at the boy's back for a few minutes as he came out of the ladder and then said:
—Heading to Hexagon 9 of 18, there are our booklets.
Adam paid attention, began to move, they passed through many corridors, but fortunately nothing very strange happened. Hex 9 looked like a bank, very similar to the one on the middle floors... In fact: it was identical.
It had the same stone shelves and the same one-color books, all the same and identical. Adam was puzzled by the similarity, again he wanted to ask, but now he is infatuated with not doing it and in his young mind his whims were absolute rules.

The Dungeon Calls for a Sage
Archimedes was the ego behind one of the most powerful dungeons ever created. He grew and developed his halls, filling them with powerful monsters and beasts, over the course of thousands of years. He was a grand structure of ten thousand floors which even heroes had failed to defeat. However, an Evil God had come from another world, calling himself the Demon King, and a party of heroes were sent to do battle with it. Through their victory, they obtained enough strength to breeze through Archimedes' dungeon like it was nothing. Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name. Just what was the meaning of this?! Archimedes couldn't figure out what the voice of the world was thinking. Somehow, he would have to draw a sage into his dungeon to figure it out for him. _______________________ DCS is now a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying end.

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”

Bear trap (statehumans CalTex)
(This book has nothing to do with furries, otherkins, or irl therianthropes. Both by their own definitions and my own, we have nothing to do with each other. Keep being your weird selves just don't pretend I'm a part of those groups because I wrote this book with animal/human hybrids in it. Any comments trying to talk about furries or otherkins will be deleted because it makes me physically uncomfortable. Therians are ok tho because it's basically the fancy way to say people who have spirit animals)There are two races in this world, humans and therianthropes, which are humans with animal qualities, that can shapeshift into their animal counterpart. The therianthropes, once divided by predator and prey, joined together in hiding after the humans began to hunt therianthropes for sport. California, a young grizzly bear therianthrope, was always curious to see the world beyond the forest he and his people lived within. Texas, a young farmhand, always wanted to catch a therianthrope, believing it would make him the hero of his village after violent massacres and thefts had been performed on it, supposedly by therianthropes. But when these two young men's paths collide, secrets, strange new feelings, and a magical adventure turns everything they thought they knew about the others race upside down.Warnings:- statehumans- countryhumans - the country and statehumans are all kinda just mixed together. There is no obvious separation between state and country, they're all just people - guns- and ships- hunting - idk, vegans?- gay stuff- not super gory, but people do get hurt - maybe death
