Adam walked through the corridors until he approached the door, but at the door he paused for a few seconds because the bear was not moving and instead was looking in one direction of the corridor.

The bear made him go all the way around the hexagon, and they didn't come back down the same corridor as before. But when he saw where the bear was looking, he noticed that the entrance through which they left was covered by a wooden carriage, it looked like a merchant who was selling things.

The carriage was full of strange objects that decorated its doors in a very colorful way: from very strange books, to objects that Adam had never seen, because of the large number of different things that were on the carriage, it seemed that the owner was a seller of curiosities.

The bear stared at the float for a while with Adam, it was then that the door of the float opened and a man came out of it. The man was bearded and had long hair that reached his shoulder. He wore a very colorful but patchy suit and appeared to be barefoot. The man was very, very tall and almost reached the ceiling. His arms and legs seemed to have a few extra joints.

Seeing him leave, the bear asked Adam, in a somewhat hurried voice:

—What floor and hex are we on, kid?

Automatically, Adam answered:

—Lower floor 3, hex 8.

—That's good—answered the bear, turning around, ignoring the look of the bearded man who was looking at the two from a distance—Run, Adam, run!

Adam heard the command and saw the bear swim full force toward the exit door. Adam followed, fear on his tear-stained face.

The bear was going faster and faster and Adam was running with all his soul, it seemed that he would never stop. Adam saw that the bear stopped in one of the corridors of the main hexagon and trying to take a breath and controlling his rapid breathing, he asked:

—What are we running from?!

But the bear didn't answer, he just turned around and took a drink from the bottle that he never put down. Adam followed the bear's gaze, and cold sweat began to fall on his back. The same tall man was standing in the distance, but this time a little closer.

—Don't move, just look at it—the bear replied calmly as he gulped down his bottle.

Adam took notice and stared at the tall man, he seemed not to move as the two of them watched him.

—Throw away the tunic—the bear replied as he tossed his bottle and another appeared in his hand.

Adam complied and tossed the robe away. Still staring at the tall, bearded man staring at him from a distance without eyelashes.

—Get ready to run again until I stop—the bear replied as he watched the tall man.

Adam adjusted his breathing and tried to calm down like the bear did, but it was impossible for him to understand what was happening, he only understood that he had to run.

—Runs!—The bear yelled as he began to run through the corridors.

Adam and the bear ran until Adam started to get tired, then the bear stopped and turned around and yelled at Adam:

—Turn around and look at his eyes!

Adam turned around and tried to look into his eyes, but only met the body of the tall man, who was getting closer. Adam looked up quickly and looked into the eyes of the tall man and the man stopped.

Tears began to flow from the tired Adam who forced himself not to look away from that bearded face, the man was a few steps away from him, and he could already smell a nauseating smell coming from the man.

—Well, just follow my instructions, and you'll get out alive, boy!—The bear yelled at him as he drank again from his bottle—Whatever happens, don't back down when you're looking at it!

Adam slowly adjusted his breath and rested as the tall man watched him from an unblinking distance. When the bear noticed that Adam was better, he yelled once more:

—¡Run, boy!

Adam ran as hard as he could through the halls of hell, but it seemed the tall man was getting closer, but he forced himself not to turn around and kept running. The bear swimming through the corridors started shouting instructions at him as Adam ran:

—Now boy, when I count to 3 you have to look up to the height of the lamp, you understand!

Adam slowly began to tire, and that's when the bear began to count:

—One, two, Three!

Adam turned around immediately and aimed his gaze at the ceiling. The tall man tried to reach out his arms to grab him, but when he noticed Adam's gaze he stopped and lowered his arms.

Adam started to cry as he looked into the tall man's black eyes. They looked like normal black eyes, but to Adam they were the eyes of a demon: The man was practically on his back! If he stretched out his arms, he could take Adam!

—Very well, boy—said the bear with concern—I just need to run one last time. If you can be quick, you'll make it out alive!

Adam just cried, he knew he couldn't outrun the tall man, this was the end. But the bear reminded him of the harsh reality:

—Don't cry, it's no use anymore. Just take a deep breath and get ready to run with all your might, kid!
