Adam was excited, finally waiting every day for so long was worth it and with joy he shouted to his friend:

—Let's go on an adventure!—

—Let's go!—Franco yelled, shaking the book happily.—The bookshelf is on this floor, in one of the internal hexagons of the main ones. Follow me, lead the way!

Adam nodded and followed his friend's back, on the way they passed many librarians who were trying to discover the new secrets of the shelves or testing their rules. Most of them proceeded with great caution, so they took a long time to make their decisions, so the two children could not see the final results, luckily or unfortunately.

—It's quite close, the shelves are in hexagon 2— Franco added happily, as they headed for the exit of hexagon 3 and the entrance of hexagon 2.

—Do bookshelves have complicated rules?—Adam asked on the way.

The shelves were inside the main hexagon, so you had to go through a few corridors, and they were somewhat hidden.

The two boys entered the interior of hexagon 2, when they were about to enter the internal corridors, two librarians with somewhat torn black robes approached them.

Adam was scared, he remembered what his godfather told him about him, but he was still scared.

—What are two children doing here?— Asked one of the men: he had a big beard and a greedy look on his face—How about you give us that black book, boy?

Adam was about to start crying, according to his godfather only the librarians would ignore them, he never imagined that this could happen to him, he blindly trusted his godfather.

But when they were only a step away from the boys, a head from the shelf next to the boys came out and yelled in a weird pirate accent:

—Touch the pigeon, and I'll kill you, lizard!

Adam looked up at the head that was saving them and thanked him in his heart. The head was made of black wood, it had an eye patch and a captain's hat.

The two men heard the rules and ran away, it seemed that the black book was not worth that much.

—Thank you!—The two boys shouted in unison as they saw the men retreating towards hexagon 3.
