The three boys looked at their teacher in a somewhat dazed way and nodded again, Achilles just continued explaining how to feed them and prayed that they had understood the most important lesson.
Adam happily began to feed the booklets. It was really nice to see how the stickers were taking shape in three dimensions and feeding on the dust on the ground, after a while everyone was able to return to their homes.
Today's class had lasted less, so Adam took advantage of what was left of the day to follow the instructions of his godfather and the old man without eyes, luckily or unfortunately for him, they both wanted him to participate in the war.
Although Adam didn't quite know what this was called participating: his task was to stand near the ladder and wait, so far nothing had ever happened. But his godfather always asked him to do this every morning from the first day he told her about the ascension.
Adam waited a long time, but like every day, after waiting an hour and seeing people come and go, not much else happened. So Adam decided to go back to the cave, he wanted to ask the eyeless old man if he knew of any booklets he could play with.
With constant steps, Adam reached the cave, as usual the old man made him go in, but before he asked him anything, the old man without eyes asked first:
—Any news boy? You have to get those magic books so that this adorable old man can be happy.
—No, still nothing happens— Adam answered with many doubts about the method— I don't understand why waiting near the stairs is going to give me a magic book.
—You have to listen to your godfather, young hero—Said the eyeless old man seriously— Those magical books are rare and important for your future. If you stay waiting on the stairs one day a shelf will ask you for a favor and there you get your book.

—But it's dangerous to stay too long on the 4th floor—Adam said worriedly.
—Heroes aren't afraid of danger—Answered the eyeless old man without hesitation—your godfather will help you when you have to do a favor, he wouldn't send you to wait if it was too dangerous.
—Well, I'm going to keep waiting—Adam replied with annoyance, for him waiting an hour every day was super boring—Do you know any booklets, old man?
—A few trustworthy ones—said the old man, some eyes reemerged from his face and looked at the boy with suspicion, while he asked with many doubts—Who sent you to ask me that, Adam?
—I just want to play, they're cute—Adam answered as he looked for his yellow book to ask his godfather how to find a booklet.
The eyeless old man stared at Adam for a few minutes, he knew well who Adam was, and that childish appearance did not deceive him, but when he noticed that the boy was noticing something unusual in his eyes, he said in a hurry, hiding his eyes:
—If you get me another magical book, I'll present you with some booklets. I have known them for many years, and they are super cute; they resemble a family of care bears.
Adam happily nodded and prepared to speak to his godfather.

Lethal Combo (Weapon-Based Martial Arts Adventure)
Quang is a slacker that doesn't have much going for him except for his skills in Chinese kickboxing and his proficiency with a pair of nunchucks. Selene is broke but still manages to overestimate herself. The fact that she's knows Hapkido and how to handle a set of tonfas doesn't help either. Together, they're going to get into a lot of trouble. Just like everyone else in the sweltering West Coast city of Isla Lucrecia, Quang Nghiem is struggling to get by. His family’s business can’t make ends meet, his childhood friend has vanished without a trace and the self-imposed local “Union” threatens to tear down the family restaurant if they can’t pay their dues. Fortunately for him, part-time lifeguard and fellow out-of-practice martial artist Selene Olwagen has nothing better to do and is more than willing to help Quang track down his missing friend. However, there’s more lurking in the shadows of Isla Lucrecia than typical street gangs and criminals. Almost every chapter will have illustrations to accompany it. Heavily inspired by fighting games and classic martial arts films. Expect that kind of tone of going in. Updates twice a week, (mostly) on Wednesday and Saturday. Illustrations and covers were done by Ati: www.instagram.com/serious_ati/ Check out more art of Lethal Combo and my other projects here: www.instagram.com/fgc_checkmate/

Fermboi was a man of one ideal: make the weak strong. When his rebellion against the king proved futile, he was given another chance at life. This time, he sought to do nothing after realizing the hopelessness of it all. Aventina wanted to do nothing more than to follow her father’s footsteps. On a retaliation raid against her tribe’s enemies, her brothers perished. Spared by a leader of her enemies, she returned home to find herself the chief of her tribe. Bolahulag, half-civilized and half-barbarian, half-lowborn and half-royal. Raised in his mother’s civilized tent in a sea of barbaric shelters, Bolahulag was hesitant to follow his paternal way of life. After a battle between a civilized king and his father, Bolahulag was sent as hostage to learn the economy and military of the nation his father defeated. Derai knew nothing more than being an orphan, but when a merchant took her in, the world she thought impossible soon became a reality. Monghe, stuck in a school exemplifying strength for most of his life, began to understand what he needed to do in order to be strong instead of weak. Story is mostly about nothing. Fermboi does most of the nothing. Aventina does most of the military things. Bolahulag does a balance of economy and military. Derai focuses on economy. Monghe spitfires what it means to be a typical hero. Hopefully this is enough to give a general idea to people who don’t like going blind aside from the work being purportedly “good.” Who am I kidding, my writing is terrible. I hope it improves though.
