《The Lost Characters [Vanilla Dark Fantasy]》028

Adam opened his biography, hoping to see what secrets he could read. If the school gave Adam the biography after he managed to read 10 pages, it should be because he can read it. But surprisingly for the boy, the biography was completely empty.
—They scammed me!—Adam yelled, throwing the notebook on the floor in a huff—Even now they're still empty! He thought that after school they could be read!
—Didn't they explain to you at school how they work? You have to write about her and ask her something— Said the eyeless old man— Librarians always take out her biographies to ask her things before touching the shelves.
Adam followed the advice, picked up the notebook from the floor and wrote roughly on the paper: 'Hello I'm Adam, who are you?'
To Adam's surprise, the words he wrote faded from the paper and a message appeared in their place: 'Adam...'
—Did I spell it wrong?—Adam muttered, a little uncomfortable at not being able to communicate with his godfather.
—Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to answer that—The eyeless old man said: the bookshelves could not read the books to help the librarians.
Just in case, Adam took out a notebook and checked the word, then seeing that he hadn't made a mistake, he wrote: 'I am Adam, and who are you? .
The message was diluted on paper and another message appeared in its place: 'We have the same name'
—What a coincidence—said the eyeless old man, who was curious about Adam's conversation with his Godfather.
Adam was thrilled that his writing was working and asked, 'Do you know any secrets?'
The message faded into the paper and another message appeared in its place: 'Too many...'
—Like all librarians, he's not very talkative and very pragmatic with his words—the eyeless old man complained.

Adam changed the question to see if he could get something useful: 'If you were a student, without parents, how would you learn a language faster?'
The message faded on paper and another message appeared in its place: 'Don't Learn: Find Out!'
Adam asked him what he meant, but it seemed that his godfather is one of those who likes riddles. Adam guessed that his godfather didn't expect him to discover a new language, so his godfather must be referring to something else.
Then Adam thought of the mini-word idea; you could say that was his discovery, but someone else had further improved him to the point of being known to everyone as characters.
If Adam could do the same with the rest of the language, then it would be easier for him to learn it, he remembers that the characters he learned in practically a day thanks to discovering the background of the idea.
Adam tried to write his thought to his godfather, but he realized that he didn't quite know how to write such a long paragraph, but luckily his godfather got the idea and a sentence formed in his notebook: 'Rediscover everything because everything is false'
—It seems like another enigmatic message—said the eyeless old man calmly—but be careful, young hero. You don't know if a madman is the one you're talking to, and following wrong advice will only end your adventure.
Adam listened to the old man's warning and closed the notebook, it was better to learn the language calmly and have more criteria to decide, but also an adventurous part of Adam decided to follow the advice of his godfather and seek to discover his own ideas.

The Final Test
Earth was overtaken by the Calumnia ten years ago and if it weren't for the alien Occisio race who saved the remnants of humanity, Indi's race would have gone extinct. Now, at the age of sixteen, Indi and the other surviving children are about to complete their training and return to Earth to kill the monster that destroyed their world and killed their parents. However, the children on the Occisio's spaceship have been dismissed one by one in training tests and only a few of them remain. Will Indi prove himself skilled enough to become a soldier? Or will he fail humanity as his parents did? This short story (in 13 parts) is a love letter to fans of Ender's Game and Maze Runner.
