—Okay, you don't have to get impatient—Cesar said with a confident grandfather's smile—Come into my office, the corridors are not a good place to argue.
Sofia and Cesar entered the office. Adam, half-stunned by the situation, saw that the other two entered and accompanied by inertia; so as not to be left alone in the hallway.
The director's office was not very big, but it had luxurious wooden furniture, very finely decorated, there was no bookshelf, but there was a mountain of books piled on top of the desk; it would seem that the headmaster spent more time reading than paying attention to school.
There were also two fairly comfortable chairs in front of the desk; where Sofia and Adam sat. The director for his part sat on the other side of the desk and with his hand, he moved all the books on the desk; throwing the books on the floor so they wouldn't interrupt his vision.
Adam was a bit dazed looking at the books on the floor, not knowing if he should go pick them up or not, but he saw that Sofia didn't do anything, so he went along with it.
—Well—Cesar said quietly—what happened this time?
—Achilles, that's the problem!—Sofia yelled, quite angry from the chair several times her size. How are we supposed to learn to read without a teacher!
—Well—Cesar said in a very relaxed manner as he wrote on a red piece of paper—if that's what's bothering you, Sofia, we'll fix it. And what's bothering you, Adam?
—Me? .. eh — said Adam, somewhat stunned by the situation — I... I want to get my black tunic.
—Well— Cesar said again as if saying 'good' was his relaxation mantra— Just give him this letter Achilles, he should be in the staff room and solve the problem, next time try not to kick the door; could draw the attention of...

—I'm going to kick anything you sing to me, dying old man—Sofia interrupted, violently taking the red card from the professor and getting down from the chair to look for Achilles.
*Puff* Sofia violently closed the office door.
Adam stared at the scene, somewhat dazed.
—Well—Cesar said, taking his head in his hand and massaging his forehead, trying to stay calm—Do you have any other matter you want to discuss, Adam?
—Eh… no, no— Adam said coming out of his daze, while he got down from the chair to look for Sofía.
Adam walked out the door and ran to Sofia, who was kicking another school door hard, it seemed that this was the staff room.
When Adam arrived, Achilles had already opened the door and was arguing with Sofia.
—I can not believe it! A ghost appeared!—Achilles said with irony when he saw Sofia at school—Did you get bored with trying your luck looking to swindle the poor shelves?

Alex was dying, and all the millions his father had left him meant nothing. The life he had been so eager to embrace, to do the memory of his father proud, would soon come to an end. Cancer. That ugly, terrible word. He had tried to be strong for his mother, even when the treatments left him violently ill, his body wracked with pain, his friends and even his girlfriend leaving him almost as fast as his once impressive physique wasted to nothing under the ravages of his illness. And just when he thought all hope was dead, a couple discrete referals placed by high-powered friends of his family got him an exclusive spot at the most sophisticated cryonic facility in the world. He didn't know if there was such a thing as an afterlife, but part of the package included uploading a copy of his cortex into a digital universe filled countless worlds to explore, where he could embrace whatever class or profession he could dream of. All of which sounded hell of a lot better than the miserable death waiting for him in the real world. In the end, he signed the paperwork, putting his pathetic flickering life in the hands of potential quacks and charlatans. After all, with death just days away, what did he have to lose? Even if he could never be successfully revived, he could at least adventure his heart out. (Authors Note: Books 1-6 are now live on Amazon and here is a link if you wanted to check it out! And I will continue to post chapters to Book 6 here first, until that tale is told! I hope you enjoy! A Dark Connection
Darian is a boy growing up in a world that is conspiring against him. He was born in a simple town, but because of the powers he inherited, he would never keep his simple life; not that he cared. Darian has always enjoyed fighting and looked forward to his future since the moment he discovered his inherited abilities. He looked forward to becoming an adventurer or a warrior. Darian never expected the pain his powers would bring him and everyone around him. It's too late to turn back now, he must become stronger; he has no choice. He will become stronger or he will die. The story will take place over several years of Darian's life. During that time, Darian will grow as a character and as a fighter, but it will take some time before Darian comes into his own in both respects. While he is strong when compared to his peers, it will take time for him to face the challenges presented to him properly. It will be a little slow, but I hope you enjoy reading along as Darian struggles and grows.

Life in the New World
On the Hiatus: I began writing this novel when I was, in all honesty, very bad at writing. I hope to revisit creative writing in the near future and I plan to, at some point in time, revisit this. I am flattered that many people have taken the time to read this story, but it is not what I intend to start with, as it will likely need a hard rewrite in order to correct many of the more glaring issues it has. Join our hero and follow his exciting adventure through a newly changed world! WARNING their will be violence, profanity,, and gore in this fiction. if any of these make you uncomfortable this is not a story for you turn around and walk away now!!!
