《Archangel》CHAPTER OF THE PAGES - XIII - Wrong side of Heaven, righteous side of Hell (Six)

“The war ended with Lucifer’s side being absolutely defeated. Their comrades, and brothers and sisters in arms were locked in the deepest part of Eden, and judged by the greatest archangel of all, Michael.
There was a place in God’s creation, forgotten by all living things. This place was only fire, depth, heat, and damnation. There was no possible chance that the defeated side could ever survive in that hole.
And yet, Lucifer and his underlings were all cast out from Eden, tossed right into that fiery pit, and that was the first dark dawn of Sheol.
The problem was that this war was caused by a renegade cherubin, whose name is long forgotten by history. He called upon a conjuration to fight against Michael and Metatron, whom he found out to be plotting against humankind, by using the forces of nature, ruled by the Ishins, and even by influencing human’s choices.
They tested them with nonsensical tasks, sent plagues, and all sorts of calamities over the Haled.
And after the war, not only Lucifer’s army was cast out to the Sheol, but the rebel cherubim and his fellow soldiers were exiled from Eden, being tossed down to the Haled, to spend the rest of their existences down here, until Armageddon is called upon us all.
But then you might ask But what about our Father? Wasn’t he around to stop this nonsense?
The answer was found at the top of the highest fortress in eden, at its seventh layer. However, all those who dared to peek at this secret ended up having a horrible ending to their existence.
That secret led Metatron to elaborate a collusion involving the most sacred item of Eden.
The Book of Life.
Aeons passed while the scribe of God cooked his plan, and when it was ready for the execution, he sent some of his most trusted angels to the Haled, with the excuse of an incursion to hunt and judge the exiled warriors from that long past war.
However, the true objective behind this so-called incursion, beyond hunting and killing the remnants of the rebels, was to meet some demons of Sheol.
His intent in doing so, was to get the higher demons to betray Lucifer, allying themselves with Eden, and make them teach the ancient high demonic language to his trusted pieces.
And by doing so, he would finally be able to defile the Book of Life. Granting him complete powers over the innate aspects of humankind, and basically making him into the new Father.

Of course, Lucifer killed every lasting piece of Metatron’s plan that belonged to his side.
But the great fallen one discovered the scribe’s plan too late for it to be stopped, and Metatron’s trusted angels learned the language, went back to Eden, and started rewriting some pages from the sacred book. Which meant the beginning of a whole new era for humankind, consisting in wars, corruption, greed, and all the sins we’re all very familiar with.
I was too, as you well know, one of those who stained the book with my filthy blood and the abominable language of the old, forgotten ones.
But as you might be asking yourselves now, it meant that I had unconditional access to Eden, which was forever locked far from the reach of Lucifer’s infernal hordes.
The answer is yes.
I used to be an angel just like you, and my name was Jophiel. I was one of the strongest cherubim to ever set foot on Eden.
Yet, I wasn’t strong enough to see through Metatron’s scheme. But I came to understand the essence of his plan, little by little.
You see, even perfect sons and daughters can be touched by the most abominable form of sin, when faced with the right conditions.
And those were that when our Father created us, we were His only love and pride. We even thought that His work was complete when he finished creating us, after we won against Tehom and her minions of chaos.
Because we won against His one and only enemy. But Father was so absorbed in His work, that we couldn’t even receive proper acknowledgement for our victory.
Time passed by, and He created Earth, the Haled. In the beginning we thought it was going to be our new home, but how innocent we were.
Yahweh felt alone.
And after creating His first sons, virtually immortal beings, just as Father was, that would never leave Him even if the end of times came, he decided to fill his loneliness with a new species.
And that was when Father created Adam. God’s first seed to bear fruit in the future.
A while after Adam, came Eve. And then, after the commandment for them to grow and spread through the Haled, Father became weary from all His work, and slept. Leaving us, His first sons with the order of loving the humans and adoring them!

When I first hear that story, right through Michael’s lips, the most powerful archangel to ever be born in Eden, I felt outraged. I mean, how our almighty and everloving Father would be capable of not paying attention to His most faithful sons? His most faithful guardians! That was when I fell for jealousy, just as deeply as Metatron did.
To the point of despair.
And that was when I became gullible to the scribe’s plans. That was the point when all of us who heard this story, fell for Metatron’s scheme.
The Malakins, very ancient beings who are entrusted with recording humankind’s history in the Book of Life, were mercilessly hunted by Michael’s trusted soldiers, leaving only a very few remaining, so that they could keep recording Haled’s history, under Michael’s supervision.
But where was Father to stop all this nonsense?
Michael revealed the secret to me and another very few highly trusted fellows.
Yahweh was dead.
After the long period of the work of creation, He dispersed Himself in energy, making Himself to be literally all around.
Everywhere and anywhere.
Michael and the other archangels were the only ones who knew this secret, but the most powerful archangel decided to show it to this very small group, because Metatron already talked to him about his plan.
And Michael thought it was good.
After that, there came the learning ancient demonic part of the plan, and right after that, rewriting some aspects of humankind.
We corrupted them, made them weak and gullible, greedy, vain.
We made them dangerous.
We rebuilt them to be exactly what we needed them to be. The opposite of what our Father created them to be.
We needed them to be vulnerable to sin, so that we could punish them, and if lucky, be fully allowed to extinguish them from the face of creation. So that we could be the only sons of our beloved Father once more.
However, we suffered the consequences of this plan too. We weren’t unpunishable, and after each one of us rewrote and put our blood on each of our respective pages, reality banished us from Eden, turning us into demons and casting us into the Sheol.
To spend the rest of our existences along with our new equals, until judgement was laid upon us.
That’s how I became Purson, one of Lucifer’s most trusted kings of Hell, right along with Belial.
But time came, when a very smart and very caring Ophanim found out about the truth behind all Metatron’s schemes, stole the page from the Book, and fled Eden in search for answers.
We only didn’t expect that this Ophanim would fit to the powers of the Page, making it resonate with her in a way that made her become the harbinger of a turning point in this upcoming war between Eden and Sheol.
We didn’t expect that we, the ones who fled Hell to find peace on the Haled, would be the ones to find you, nor would we ever expect that we’d come to love you so much.
Not only that, we never expected you to requite this love in the way you did.
Belial and I only wanted to get away from this upcoming war, to find peace and rest.
Of course we ended up being dragged back to it, but we never knew that we’d participate in it so willingly. Because if you end up fighting, we’re gonna fight alongside you, no matter what.
And that’s why our story as a family isn’t a lie. Because we loved you and welcomed you and you requited our love, and it made us feel whole in a way we never thought possible. Even after you knew we weren’t exactly good people.
Even after you knew that we weren’t exactly... People.
So Nezariel, Becca, or whatever you choose yourself to be called from now on, it’s your choice. But your time with us, as Becca, and our time with you as Donnovan and Grace, will always be cherished in our essences. Until we cease to exist.”
Becca’s jaw was as slack as a loose rope. Bertrand’s eyes were wide with awe, and the both of them stood silent for some time after Purson finished telling his story.
After some thought and careful consideration, Nezariel looked straight in the demon king’s eyes, and asked.
“How can I learn to use the powers of the Page, and why is my sister Uriel so desperately chasing me?”

Black Wind, White Lotus
In this world, there are haves and have nots. The former are pureblooded humans, some of whom are capable of manipulating qi, the mysterious energy that flows through every living creature, to miraculous results that defy the laws of nature and physics. Wen Feili was one such cultivator. However, she allied with the have nots- the anthropomorphic hybrids incapable of channeling qi-and dabbled in forbidden demonic arts, seeking to change the very composition of reality. This did not end well for her, and she was consumed by her own flames. A decade later, far in the northwestern mountains, her daughter Wen Fengli is working as a lowly servant of the minor Shuangshan sect. In between sweeping the floor and avoiding bullies, she secretly trains with a wooden sword, hoping to become a warrior cultivator at some point in the future. However, since she's part-human, part-wolf, it's just a pipe dream. ....or so she bitterly thought. However, one day a mysterious amulet that belonged to her mother falls into her hands. A deranged old master, a terrible conspiracy, a mysterious past? None of that matters to tomboyish wolfgirl, who only seeks to become stronger. She embarks on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, towards the mysterious southern lands where pure demi-humans are said to live...as spectre of war once again envelops the world of man. This is a Chinese-themed fantasy story set in a fictional world. You can classify it as xianxia, if you wish, but it's a rather low fantasy variant; the heavenly realm is silent, no one reached immortality in generations, and magical artifacts of old are locked away and feared. Magical beasts and spirits have been driven to the corners of civilisation, and "ordinary" abilities such as flying or controlling swords through telekinesis are considered spectacular feats. The main plot of this book revolves around a kemonomimi girl who seeks power, no matter the cost. This story also features multiple character pov, and will not always follow the perspective of the mc- there are two major plotlines, one connected to conspiracy and war ongoing in the political background of the presented world, and the other focusing on the main character's physical and metaphorical journey. Of Righteous Evil
To wield the magical Arts. The power to manipulate nature itself. Follow Silas on his journey as he learns what it means to be a Mage. With war brewing on the horizon, Silas' plan to become a hero clashes with the harsh reality of conflict. Torn between contradicting emotions, he will have to reconsider his perceptions of both good and evil. Does the end truly never justify the means? Note from author (13.09.20): Sentences have been shortened, less commata used. Paragraphs have been split up. Meant to be "realistic" fantasy, with no overpowered protagonist or evil sorcerer trying to destroy the world. The focus lies on the characters, their progressions and their inner conflicts, coupled with an intricate magic system. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated! HIATUS Updates: 12.12.20 Chapter 1 & 2 are written together. The backstory of the parents will be integrated into one of the later chapters. 20.12.20 Prologue has been rewritten, fight added.
