The black lightning smashed the gigantic spider Marceline head-on causing the agonizing screams to now come to a halt. Unable to resisted it was ripped in half as its severed body plummeted to the ground piece by piece...
"He actually killed the mother of webs....?"
Fena was the first to utter those words as she saw the pieces of the Marceline's body smashing against the wrecked ground below.
"That's what you ask? I am more concerned about how in this world did he absorb the lightning tribulation and then even more shockingly, use it as an attack of his own."
The yellow feathered eagle Herfen exclaimed as it looked on the youth who was now plummeting himself.
Taf's tried summoning a bit of strength so he could ease his fall somewhat but it came to naught. At the moment he was truly an oil lamp running dry. He was so weak he couldn't even summon a bit of energy just to glimpse upon his dantain. His eyes started to drift in and out of consciousness as he fell while looking on the land below.
" Da...damn I ended up destroying its core...."
He stated as his falling speed became even more sped up. As his eyes were about to close he felt the wind around his body no longer being hostile as before but somewhat soothing with a calming feel.
" leave it up to you sir to go overboard hmmm. Knowing this lady is around you even skydive without a parachute huh. Maybe a little knock on the head would have done you a world of good..."
A melodious voice was heard in his ear that seemingly eased his aching body as he laid on what seemed to be feathers.
" How could I miss out on the chance for you to pamper this bruised and battered body of mine."
Taf laughed a bit but even that at the moment caused him to wince in pain afterward as he coughed up a bit of blood.
" Close your eyes for now so I can take care of you then brute...."
May stated with a bit of worry on her face as she saw the condition in which his body was currently in. There were ghastly scares and from time to time blood would trickle from his mouth. The previous battle followed by the tribulation lightning faced had truly taken its toll on his body.

Those were the last words that Taf heard as his eyes closed and he drifted off...

" Wh...where am i...?"
Taf looked up as his body felt groggy while his eyes slowly opened. At the moment his body felt as though he was asleep for ages.
" Hmmm, look who is finally awake after leaving this lady to her lonesome for the past two months. We could even celebrate when our 15th birthday's both arrived."
As he looked across the room there he saw May sitting as she wore a white dress with yellow flower petals displayed all over.
" So sir how do you plan on making this all better...?"
She continued speaking before walking over to the bed where Taf slowly took the time to sit upright.
" Tell me, empress, what do you desire hmmm?
The rarest gems I am more than willing to provide, An oasis in the desert I will make if it suits you.
Whatever you desire I will be that genie to grant you unlimited wishes. So big flower tell me your heart's desire."
Taf uttered as a sweet fragrance greeted him when May sat on the bed.
" How about this? All I ask is something quite simple, stop trying to scare me half to death every time you get the chance. Can I have this simply request..?"
She then looked into his eyes before observing his body once more that was now heal ensuring that all was well.
" I am sorry that things seemingly got out of control there for a bit..."
At the moment he truly was sorry for the ordeal he had put her through. Knowing her personality he could just imagine how she had been worrying about his well being all this time.
" Well from the day that we went onto this journey together I figured that we would have trouble now and then. After all, you are a magnet for such things after all right sir.."
May shook her head as she spoke while giving Taf a knowing look...
" See.., then you knew what you were getting yourself into with this fellow by your side huh miss?"

He then smirked before feeling a pitch to his sides...
" Keep acting up and see how I gain my vengeance...."
There was a playful wicked smile displayed all over the face of May as she neared Taf with her hands aiming for his sides.
" Damn it.., I should have known..."

Two figures could be seen while conversing with a golden lion that mane was as black as tar...
" This is a minor thing that you have requested Sir Mouse. Are you sure there is not anything else that I might be of help with?"
Tensho stated as he addressed the two after they had asked him a small request...
" At this time this will be all that will be required until we meet once more Tensho.."
Taf then replied to the lion Tensho. At this point, each was seeking mutual returns from the other so the relationship was understood.
" Then this city of mortals will be under our protection for the time being. I wish you both the best on your journey...."
Tensho was a bit curious as to why these seemingly heavenly blessed youths would worry about a village filled with mortals. He, however, soon shoved those thoughts to the back of his mind.
A Few more words were exchanged between the two before Tensho departed to his separate way in the distance.
" The city should be fine after all they already have two means of protection, both Draconian ALestar and Dark Abylis Sect. However, having a third set of eyes could never be a bad thing right?"
May stated as she watched the lion Tensho departing in the distance. As she spoke those words images of her loved ones flashed through her mind. When she was in the city there was a feeling of being suffocated by their love.
Now however she missed the feeling of conversing with her mom Martha while her hair was being combed. There was also her father's corny jokes that never seem to hit the mark but how she wished she could hear one now.
" I know you miss them and so do but remember we did promise we would not rush back prematurely.
If we return now they would become even more worried feeling we are not fully mature to journey. In a year we will both be sixteen. By then i think we could return."
From that look within her eyes Taf at that moment knew what her thought currently were. He too has been longing to return home, but they haven't even journey to the Dark Abylis Sect which they originally intended as of yet.
" Hey you did well through this trial. Seeing your improvement with every battle is the most enjoyment i had. Who knew i was next to a true prodigy..."
Those words spoken by Taf caused a slight blush to showcase on May's face.
" Do you always have to make me smile...? Battling with you has been all that i need to remain happy. How could i not be happy with you by my side continuing with shenanigans?"
Taf too smile as he felt a hand making its way into his own...
" The world is grand and awaiting our arrival brute. How can we keep them in suspense?"
May continued with a grin as her bracelet started to glow which then development into light that shrouded around the two...
" Then join this Mouse in enlighting their lives..."
Puff!!!!
The two suddenly vanished from where they once stood. However, lingering reminders were left behind of what their presence once brought forth.
The grounds were cracked and at some parts crushed to dust. Trees so gigantic that they once towered into the skies were no more.
It can be said that nature was the happiest about as the deluge has passed.

"His name will never be sung, son. Skalds and bards like me will never tell his stories to the mass. But only us and us alone will keep telling his story, his actions, his saga. For he is the man who started all of this." This is a story no man in Lumenter will ever hear, no man except for an Arnesen, for his stories are dull and generic to the ears of the masses, except for us, because he is the very reason why our people traveled this far east, why kingdoms in Erisgi fell and rose, why I... even existed in the first place.
