" Please tell me you didn't over do it and damage the cores"

A sound went off in his ear which was May who was slightly concerned. Hearing her words Taf summoned a knife in his hand.

He decided to test a sample moving towards the Demon Beast wolf with the most damage.

Then like a butcher he stuck the knife within its underbelly causing all of its entrails to fall out.

His eyes scanned the organs that looked as though they had been almost roasted to a crisp. Though he had never seen a core he had a vague idea of what he should be seeing.

Just as he was about to report his dejected findings, a sparkling gold like orb could be seen. It was similar to a small ball that one could grasp firmly within their hands.

" Found one....."

He then replied to May who once the words were uttered had a slight sigh of relief.

" Great I was becoming worried for a second there when I saw the blaze"

May uttered as she continued to survey the area.

" Don't you have faith in this great one, my lady"

A light smirk could be seen growing on Taf's face as he held the core in his hand.

" Eh em.., I saw that you were slightly sweating when you checked, you brute"

May laughed as she saw Taf turning around eyeing her within the tree.

He asked as he assessed the area for the next impending battle.

" Yes, it's by its lonesome... Expect its arrival in 15 minutes"

May then advised as she kept track of the rogue demon beast bear.

" Then let's provide it with a proper welcome"

His excitement that had subsided once more was reignited.

A large brown bear sniffed the air and was greeted by the smell of burnt wolf carcasses. It then went on to assess the area suspiciously as the ground was parched black.

"Hehe aren't you a smart one big fellow. Sniff away and let me see if you can tell where the danger lies, I'll wait"

Soon it saw a youth jumping from a tree with a grin on his face. It growled in fury, when since has a meal had the gall to tease it?

Yet still, it was a bit suspicious after all it could see the corpse of the wolves. It definitely knew that they also were seeking the source of that intoxicating aroma.

Still here was the source and they are now corpses. Though it wasn't the smarted demon beast, being a key observer within this wretched forest made you live longer.

Suddenly it sought to sprint away forgoing this meal. Its instinct all indicated that this was best.

Suddenly it saw arrows one after the other raining from the skies seeking to make it into a porcupine.

It raged as it was forced back with every arrow that seemingly aimed at blinding it as the target remained its eyes.

Then the ground seemed to have sunk below its legs and like a tornado dust spiral around.

" Taf..., what do you think it's doing"

May asked after seeing the change within the environment.

The brown bear charged at the youth that didn't even seem a quarter of its size. Soon Taf could be seen nibbly dodging paws that when landing on the ground left in its wake spider webbed shaped cracks.

Taf finally swang the huge hammer that was met by a decisive strike of the bear paw.

Shockwaves could be felt as the large hammer vibrated but it was the victor as the bear was knocked off balance by the hit.

Crrkk... A large pit could be seen within the once scorched black ground. The Demon Beast Brown bear bellowed in anger to the sky as blood could be seen dripping from a few cracks.

It charged once more at Taf who seemed completely enthralled at the moment.

The Maddened bear then did something unexpected jumping in the air then crashing down with its paws.

Cracking sounds could be heard coming from the below ground as oddly shaped earth spikes began to form.

They then shot from the ground through the air targeting Taf below.

" Cheeky bastard....."

Taf uttered as he grinned while the spikes sought to descend from the red-lit skies.
