《The Gods' Decree》Chapter 62 - Relief

They then arm in arm jumped from the white hawk that was still frozen in the sky.
May hugged Taf closer as the wind rushed against her face as they fell. Though she was barely able to see him, there was a smile plastered over his face.
He seemed to have mouthed a few words that took a second for her to decipher before pinching him to his side.
" I knew you were falling for me"
His smile remained before they suddenly stopped feeling a soft substance below their bodies.
" You know you can always trust me right...?"
He then whispered in her ear before kissing her on the cheek.
" If I had died I would have kicked your ass in the afterlife though."
A big smirk grew on her face as she eyed Taf by her side.
The individuals on the hawk had rushed to look below in horror, they saw a wide red cloud with a tinge of gold playing the role of the mound to the two.
" Where the hell did that cloud appear from...."
Cameron spoke the words that they all wanted to spout but had obviously forgotten how to speak.
" Malgrey what do we do...?"
Nisha was oblivious of the actions to be taken at the moment.
The fiery-haired man Malgrey was no better off as he felt as though, he was due to have a heart attack of sorts.
" Is..is this kid some omen of my death or something?"
Ever since he met this fellow Taf or better yet the Mouse. His emotions have flipped and flopped until he had not a clue what he was supposed to be feeling.
As he got ready to answer the despairing cry from Nisha. All of a sudden, he felt as though he was stalked by a predator. Daring not to move or take any stance whatsoever, he sat in place on the white hawk.

The other six had apparently felt the same presence and followed suit to Malgrey.
" You all have been good so far. How about not letting us turn things a bit ugly. "
" We'll be on our way as things stand."
Seeing that he had gotten what he came for, the masked assailant rid the flying beast of its invisible bondage.
" Are you both ready ?"
he asked the two who had been waiting on the Red cloud patiently.
After hearing his question Taf nodded his head in response for the couple.
soon the man in the mask went off through the sky with Taf and May in suit on the red golden cloud.
The now freed white hawk only now dared to screech as it saw the man disappearing into the distance as the seven stared on.
" Do we notify the sect..?"
Lovren who was a shadow of his usual boisterous self finally dared to utter the question.
" How can we notify the sect when all our devices have been jammed for the past few days?"
Hearing his words Nisha openly identified the flaw in his argument.
"When last has anyone tried to contact the Sect?"
Malgrey tried to take full reign of the situation, as this was a significant loss to the sect. How could he explain the loss of such talent to the elders within the upper echelons of the sect?
Cold sweat flooded his face when he thought of the possible consequence for his seeming incompetence. Yet still, what could he possibly have done differently in the situation?
The fact, however, remains that they have lost a phenomenal genius that the sect has not gotten to take a stance on as of yet, and a holy child that would have been pampered into something more.

" This is 2-star team Malgrey reporting to the sect.... come in.."
After hearing the question posed Niesha took the initiative to make the call promptly.
" Team Malgrey...you are speaking to Superior Team dispatcher Tara."
" How may I be of assistance?"
A voice could be heard crystal clear at the other end of the sound device within Nisha's ears. After hearing the voice joy showcased itself on Nisha's face.
" Malgrey...i finally got through"
She spoke in hush tones while making sure to confirm the results to Malgrey who was looking at her nervously.
" ... 2-star team Malgrey.., Are you hearing us clearly?"
" Are you in need of assistance of some kind"
The team dispatcher queried after the seeming none response.
" Sorry team dispatcher we were just startled after hearing your voice...You don't know how happy you have made us, as we have been unable to gain contact for the last two days.
Nisha confessed seemingly like a child that had cut her ankles while playing in her mommy's garden.
" Really.... all our systems are functional at the moment and all other teams have no complaints close to your area."
A seeming confused response was heard from the dispatcher after a slight pause.
" We currently have a lot of requests coming in, please to make it quick team Malgrey"
Annoyance became apparent in the dispatcher's voice. After all, this line was always meant to be kept clear. It wasn't some form of greeting program. Lives could be in the process of being lost.
Hearing the words Nisha awoken from her slight ignorance.
" We have an omega level event...No we have an unrankable event that occurred at Marvel city"
She went on to say quickly before the dispatcher could disconnect the transmission.
" Team Margrey please to note that this sound transmission line is for direct messages to our Dark Abylis Sect. All sound transmission are assessed at the end of the day and taken very seriously".
" Please to choose your words carefully as you know what is at stake"
The dispatcher once again issued a warning.
Nisha could only shake her head as she understood that what she was disclosing would seem completely ludicrous. After all, they were issued with the simplest task of all teams dispatched recently.
" Dispatcher.., we are serious please to get someone in the upper echelons to meet us at the Red forbidden forest immediately"
She hurriedly stated to the disgruntled voice on the sound transmission.
" Oh.... we will send someone immediately...Please standby"
Hearing the seriousness in her voice the dispatcher went silent for a while before responding with some urgency.
Seeing that they had gotten the response they required the team made a sigh of relief.
"2-star team Malgrey please come in...."
The dispatcher came back to the sound transmission promptly after relaying the message back to someone of importance.
" Yes, dispatcher we are awaiting your reply to our request."
A reply came forth from Nisha as she anxiously listened into the transmission.
"Two elders are close to your vicinity, they are elders Mu and Anders ."

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!
