They walked along the streets as they listened to the exciting tales from the pedestrians.
" Did you hear that one of the four that had the gift was the one they called the Mouse"
A boy that could be no more than 5 rushed to his mother while pushing his wheelchair excitedly after playing with his friend.
" Mom I want to be like the Mouse, be one that all those baddies in the streets fear. "
" I would call myself Mouse 2.0 the second coming. I'm his biggest fan after all"
His mom laughed as she heard her son's words.
" Hmmm, how will you be like the Mouse when you hate to eat your vegetables. Huh?"
She looked at him with puzzlement.
" Why did you say vegetables Mom, who would eat those yucky things"
He then makes a puking gesture to showcase his disgust.
" Really yucky huh....?"
" Do you know why the Mouse is so awesome?"
Hearing the questioned posed by his mom the little boy was quite curious.
"wh..why?"
" Because he eats his vegetables."
" How do you think he is so strong at 14 years old?"
" So strong that grown men fear him hmm"
Awe was all that was shown on his little face as he listened to his mom.
" How could I not have thought of that...
So that's his secret huh...vegetables"
Hearing the conversation of the two May and Taf burst out in laughter that startled the buzzing crowd nearby.
They looked to the two that were laughing and from the crowd, a cry was heard.
" Wait doesn't that kid bare a striking resemblance to the one called the Mouse"
Even more, people came around and circled the couple and stared as if seeing a celebrity.
The little boy that was speaking to his mom became so excited as he tried to see the Mouse but was blocked by the crowd that all had bigger statures.

" Seems like you have become a celebrity"
" Why not run for office"
May teased as she saw the awed faces in the crowd.
" All this time I thought it would be my handsomeness that brought me city-wide fame"
" But this is acceptable too"
He boasted while a big grinned was all that could be seen on his face.
" You are ever so humble and graceful in face of compliments.
A sarcastic response was heard from May before she pinched him in the side.
Owww...
" Let's meet my number one fan."
" What do you think?"
He smiled after looking at the beauty to his side.
" Wouldn't have it any other way"
May smiled in return before responding.
The couple then moved through the swarming crowd that grew in size by the moment. After moving for a while they saw a little boy being lifted in the air by his mom.
" I...i can't see him, mom."
His eyes became slightly teary as he couldn't see his idol. His mom lifting him and sighed as this was the most she could do.
Soon they saw the crowd parting as if an invisible barrier was put in place.
A beautiful petite girl in a yellow and white dress could be seen by the side of a youth with dreads and two hammers on his back.
" Mom th....the Mouse..."
" Do you see him too?"
He struggled for the words as he saw his idol walking towards him with a smile.
" A little birdie told me that my biggest fan was somewhere close by..."
" I think he is called the Mouse 2.0 "
" Could you point him out to me"
Taf had a puzzled look on his face as he saw the child and questioned.
" I....i am the...
Mouse 2.0"
The boy looked at Taf as he felt like he were in dreamland.

" Nah you're not my biggest fan if you're not eating your vegetables"
He acted and put on a disappointed look on his face.
" You do eat your veggies ....?"
The child looked on as his idol spoke to him.
" Of course with every meal"
" Tell you what I'll make you a deal"
" You make me a promise to listen to your mom and I'll give you a prize. How does that sound?"
Taf smiled as he continued to converse with a small child that seem to hang to every word that was spoken.
" Deal...deal I'll listen"
He hurriedly responded after hearing would be given a prize.
May could not help but smile as she saw the eagerness of the boy.
" Since you are the Mouse 2.0 you need to have what the original Mouse has ...."
" Do you know what that is my biggest fan?"
The question was posed by Taf as he saw the anticipation written all over the boy's face
" A....a...no two hammers"
He quickly gave his answer.
Taf then took one of his hammers off his back.
" I'll give you this but make me a promise that you will only keep it as a gift and do nothing that will put you in harm's way"
He patted the kid's shoulder and handed him the hammer.
" I ... i promise"
His mother to the side had teary eyes as she saw the happiness that was on her son's face.
" Thank you"
She said looking at the youth with dreads. Taf smiled as he heard her response before Saying goodbyes to the mother and son pair.
As they walked along the way, Taf felled as If two eyes were fixed on his face. As he glanced to the side he saw May with a big grin on her face.
" I know my looks are impeccable but the novelty should have worn off by now...huh don't you think?"
He hurriedly looked away daring not to look in her eyes.
" Your such a softie ....."
She laughed as the words came out.
" What can I say, ever since I've been Grace by your presence my heart has thawed a bit. This is all your fault in a way"
A smile couldn't help but begin to take form on her face after hearing his word.
" I like all sides you show me "
She then went on to say.
" I only have two sides on my body, not much to chose from if you ask me"
You're acting as if I have ten"
He joked as he saw her getting closer.
" You know what I mean you brute"
Taf felt a bump to his side as May knocked him with her hips.
"Since we are leaving within two days I want you to do something for me."
May went on to say as she became a bit serious.
" What's that?"
Seeing her serious response, Taf could not help but ask.
" I want you to have dinner with my family tomorrow. Other than grandma you don't really know anyone else"
" Plus my parents would really like to meet you"
She looked in his eyes as she told her request.
" Ok, it's a date"
Taf agreed as he indeed was only familiar with her Grandma senior Grace.
Hearing him responding so quickly May could not help but blush a bit.
They continued until they had arrived at May's house.
" See you at 6 PM sharp Mr Charmer"
She blew a kiss while closing the gates as Taf could not help but catch it in his right hand.

Gods How I Hate Nature
While there are always choices in life, lately they’ve all tended to skew between bad, terrible, and suicidal. Tome finds himself typically choosing the latter. As if people and plants consistently trying to kill him wasn’t bad enough, he finds himself sent off to a Mage Spire along with a self-righteous other worlder (as though there were any other kind). Add to this some powerful figures in black, a sadistic instructor, an uptight law keeper, and Tome just wants to go back to his room, down a pint, and forget about everything… But, when someone starts a fight, especially someone bigger and stronger, you bide your time and strength. Before you can get revenge, you have to settle for surviving and slowly gaining power. That means accepting the most suicidal choices, doing the jobs no one else will do, always smiling, and not slitting that other worlder’s throat… (The story will incorporate comedy, but it will be a dark story. This won't be a happy, uplifting tale, but it also won't be too morose or depressing. Though if you're rooting for the other worlders, then I suppose it will be...)
